Today is the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street, whereas yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit. Pretty cool to have two anniversaries in a row, I must say.

In the 1980s Lufthansa safety video (specifically, for the Airbus A300), you can see Rick Astley during his 1980(?) tour in West Germany at the :50 and 2:00 marks.

And no, you do not hear "Never Gonna Give You Up" during those marks :P

Australia didn't have a revolutionary war (unlike America) because it was too far away from England to have a reasonably long war :P

As in, British reinforcements would've finally made it there when the entire war was over with :P

On a side note, with the exception of Australia (as it was too far away from the original country), all countries that been occupied by the UK at some point speak English, although they have different offshoots of the original accent.
