Is there any end in sight? I think it will end sometime, but not anytime soon. It seems like I hear about another business failing or that a bunch of jobs are going to be caught every day. I don't really know how hard our family's been hit by these problems, but it'd be impossible to say it's having zero impact on our lives. As we all know, it's not just the States. It's worldwide. So, what's your take on it.

Right now, we're in a middle of a "credit crunch". To be honest, I don't really pay attention to all of this nor do I care.

Well, the credit crunch must be decreasing here. I've started getting credit card offers in the mail again.

The credit crunch has been going for a number of months... and it's bad. When will it stop?

Well the Great Depression lasted about ten years although I doubt it will last that long.

(i can only speak on the U.S. end) thankfully, there are the safety net programs that were put in place at the end of the great depression that prevent this problem from becoming too bad. though one problem we have now is that we've outsourced all of our industrial jobs and by doing so have eliminated the only way politicians know of to turn the tide on economic downturns (war).

I'm sick of the government rewarding the rich for their idiotic choices and not helping the people who really need it!

On a related note, I'm really feeling it. I might be losing one of my jobs because of the economy...and the fact some higher ups stole money from the company, but I won't go there

Well, hopefully the positive effects of the bailout money are seen soon. If this continues for another year, we could have a problem as big as the Great Depression.
