Around Christmas i bought Roxio Creator 2010 and they have released 2 service packs and each one seems to have just broken it to the point where disc after disc are just ending up in the bin or the program just crashes when you try to do something. Roxio support is brilliant, when you ask them a question all you get is "its not our program, it is you" well after buying Creator 2009 and then after a couple of months being told it was never going to be W7 compatible and then after buying Creator 2010 and finding out it scores 15 out of 10 on the shiteometer i have bought Nero 9 Reloaded yesterday for the not too cheap price of £49.99.

Nero is harder to use and doesnt have all the features that i liked in Roxio but at least it fecking works!

I always liked Nero I have say. At least you know where you are with Nero. It will do its thing and its pretty quick innit? Especially recoding.
£49.99 is a bit of hit, but if it works well on 7 and saves you hassle.

As you might expect I just use the one`s that come with Mint now and I`m happy with them.

I have used Nero on and off since version 4 and apart from a cheap OEM version i guess it is time i paid them for the privalage LOL The recoding is brill although when it worked in Creator 2010 it was good but recode gives you more choice.

I found Nero the best when I used Windows, but that's going back a few years now.

its a big fat load of old bloat Nero thats for sure but at least with having the pair of them i can get done what i need to get done. Suprisingly they have both installed together on the same drive! Its not that long ago that they used to moan and one would force you to remove the other.

I put k3b on yesterday in mint. I couldn`t work out how to "copy" a cd onto a dvd. The copy modes seemed to want a cd putting in and all I had was dvd`s.
I sussed it in the end. I copied the cd to an .iso and then burned the .iso to dvd and all is good.

I could have done that with Brasero I guess, but there we are...k3b is on as well now.

PS I had Nero burning rom on my first PC....It was brill. I even learnt how to back up a ps1 game with it :lol
