As I was searching through Amazon for a monitor to replace my duff 22" job, they had a refurbished P4 PC for just under £120. A Compaq P4 HT, 512MB RAM, 80GB SATA HD. "that'll do me as a messing about box" I thought - so I bought it. Could add more RAM if wanted - though I'm running just 512MB on my laptop. Could add a bigger HD also if wanted. One out of my other P4 which is currently over endowed. It has Win XP Professional installed if I want to use it but more likely it will be running Ubuntu. Very nice case with very easy to open panel - a finger lift tab to unlock it. Well endowed with fans - nice processor heat sink and fan and an extra case fan. Four PCI expansion slots plus a 16 bit PCI-E and the smaller PCI-E slot. So I could add a standard GC if I'm not satisfied with the on-board graphics (Intel). It has 8 USB ports 6 back and 2 front. Audio back and front and all the usual legacy ports on the back. It's a near full sized tower case with plenty of space. Colour black with silver front - not that I could care less Also, as expected, not perfect cosmetically with a scratch on the front - but I didn't buy it just to look at Functionally, it looks fine. Now to try it
