Going to have to take my AMD64 system apart and check things out. It's stopped working. Switching on from cold I get a string of rapid beeps and no video. HD light shows HD activity for a while. Need to make some space on the table first Apart from reboots after system crashes, it's been running 24/7 for months.
I'm on my P4 system ATM running Karmic. So my weather station is offline ATM as I'm not running XP. Must have another go at VB sometime!! Think I'll use Ubuntu as host and install Win XP into VB. The guest seemed incredibly slow t'other way round!

Changed P4 to Windows XP and I'm running Firefox in that. Fortunately I can run FF in any system and synchronise my bookmarks with XMarks. Not enough difference between the Linux and Windows versions to bother me that much Weather station is now back online. Probably retire to bedroom soon. I'm not sorting out hardware tonight!

The AMD64 is working again without any particular action on my part There might be a display problem but that may be down to Lucid, which I'm running ATM. I still intend opening it up and checking anyway. Probably time it had a clean out!
