the point of the new one is though it compares speeds with people in your area, it doesn't just tell you how fast your connection is. |

Surprising accurate for me given the problems they have had. This new one gave 4Mbit which with 3 other computers in the house all playing bloody games on facebook i was happy with. The other 3 test available in my village show 1.3Mbit, 1Mbit and 2.4Mbit so they are going to be cheesed off when they see mine LOL The BBMax one gave 4.2Mbit but with a high ping. |

Just tried a few tests again. BBMax - 5306 broadbandspeedchecker - 5216 Speedtest.net - 5330 Top10 is still saying just over ½ a meg ![]() |

Just shows you if you spend a little time on your connection you can get more out of it. The people around me must be wondering what is up with their ISPs LOL![]() These are off other testers just to show it isnt a million miles off. ![]()

Just checked mine Pretty much the same as SpeedTest. Not many neighbours to compare with. Our next door neighbours here haven't run this test. BT seems to beat AOL on speed but my AOL deal still seems to beat other available providers on this exchange with similar specs So that confirms my plan to continue with what I have even if it's not quite the fastest But it IS reliable
