ive been having problems with conection on cod4 and some other forums have suggested a system reset but im not sure of the process of saving my game saves and putting them back after can any one help me with how to do this coz its driving me mental not being able to have private matchs or play in squad games with you guys :bigtears |

Rich you need an external hardrive, connect it and then do a system backup from the system menu.... |

Hi LMZF Lads & Lasys been on to sony today and they have advised me to do a system restore as my new ps3 from sony kept freezing up on online games it takes 3 hours to do and it should solve all the problems if it does not sony said they will send me another ps3 tomorrow i will keep you updated if this resolves my problems JOBS A GOODEN |

my ps3 wont see my external harddrive it just slows down the xmb really badly! any tips? my hd is a 320gb and its nearly full could that be effecting things? |

Rich it needs to be formatted to FAT32 NOT NTFS. If you can get hold of a copy of partition magic or some other disk management software, you should be able to create a 60(80?)gig FAT32 partition on it to back up too. Backup and format your PS3, and then do a restore. Use PM to remove the partiton created and you're back to ([]) one :) |

cor blimey - have no idea what you've just said! im not fat im just big boned! let me see if ive got this straight does the partition magic mean that i can set aside a little space (80gb) on my ex hardrive for the game saves? or am i doing the partition thing on my ps3? |
