OK I got it woring with the ps3 and its put nero to shame! I can't get into it with my psp though. Anyone know how to do this? Aparrently you use the psp web browser and put your pc ip address into a line provided on the tversity web site and your in. I just get connection failed. Very annoying as it takes a minute to enter all those numbers and dots with the bloody psp! Any ideas? |

Don't know if you have sorted now but no matter what I do with my firewall I can't get TVersity to connect unless I turn it off ( the firewall that is) as soon as I do no probs. |

Yep that's what I had to do. It's not tversity you need to let through though its media server.exe in the tversity program folder you need to allow access. Mine had outbound access only in mcaffee and windows firewall. No probs after doing that. |

I'm using Windows Media Player now. The only difficulty is that I'll need to convert some files from mkv and avi. Got Rascal's type on the mkv converter and need some help on others. avi files are showing on my PS3 xmb but when I go to play them I get an error message "The data type is not supported (800288C0)" This is lazy of me but could somebody advise on the file types supported by PS3? why don't you just allow the ps3 to have access to the music & movie folders. Make the media folder shared on your network and hey presto!! TVersity or any other middle program isn't needed. |

put all you media into the public folders, usually there is public music, public video etc. Then for each folder so find the root folder, right hand click and select properties, the click whatever it is there for allowing access on the network. Then go to windows media player and add the ps3 as a shared device. It will come up as 'unknown device'. Follow the instructions and hey presto. Sorry i couldn't give PC lingo talk, can't do that. If anyone wants to translate into 'pc nerd' wording then go ahead!! |

I just stick with TVersity, as it can convert videos on the fly if needs be. Also, I've never been able to get WMP to work with the PS3 on XP or Vista....I've told it to share files, but nothing wants to interact. Oh, and there is a new update out for TVersity for people that use it. |

Rick, have you seen Doody's tip on the other topic? if you want to play music, select music in the xmb, then tversity, then all folders, and they should appear... have you got all the files/folders shared in tversity? |
