You may or may not be aware of the "Squads" that have been set up within LMZF and this message is simply to ask if you're considering joining up to one. They are basically groups of 6-12 members and matches are arranged on a weekly or twice weekly basis between squads. The matches only last for around an hour and half, the only other need for interaction is maybe a bit of practice and keeping up to speed with whats happening in your individual squad rooms. Being active in the forum and team room is important to get the best out of it. Due to the success so far, we are currently setting up a new league system to get everything properly set up and we are therefore looking to get as many members involved as possible. One of the reasons for setting up the squad system is to ensure our interest in COD4 and LMZF continues. Everyone's interest in any game will start to decrease over time, that is only natural but by joining a squad you can be guaranteed that the fun factor and the challenge of the game will last even longer. Squads take nothing at all away from your LMZF experience, they simply make it a bit better. As soon as the matches are over invites are sent out to all and it's business as usual. LMZF is gonna last for a long long time and we will move from game to game taking on the world, but COD4 is such a brilliant game that it deserves our attention for as long as possible. The squad games are turning out to be great fun for all involved. The games are competitive but not overly so at all. We have a pre-match banter thread where we take the micky out of each other or gloat over a victory, but it's all tongue in cheek. We currently have several squads who are recruiting new members and we are also looking to form one or two new squads too. With this in mind, if you are interested in joining one or even would like to form your own squad please register your interest in this thread and have a look at the Squads section in "News and Announcements" If you fancy setting up your own squad or perhaps would like to be a 2nd in command of a squad please say so and we'll get a message to you with some relevant info. If you are against the idea of joining a squad..don't worry...it will NOT affect your membership or playing COD4 with LMZF in any way! Vistit: http://s1.zetaboards.com/The_Old_Codgers_LMZF/forum/118240/ and have a browse for more info on squads Edited by xxSTARGATExx, 26 May 2008, 04:02 PM.

Guys, there is a new section at the top of "new members" this is very new and most squad leaders will not have posted in there yet so keep an eye on it. Each squad leader will post in there with a welcome message and details on their squad ie, whether they're recruiting or not etc. In the meantime see my previous post ^^ for details on the easiest way to join a squad. EDIT: UPDATE There are now several ways to join a squad. 1. Go to preferences, click on joinable groups, click the one you fancy and someone will get back to you. 2. Go to the TOP of "New Members" section for details on each squad and whether they're recruiting or not. Post your interest in the relevant topic ie, "I wanna be in your gang!!". A squad leader will reply or pm you. This is the easiest way! 3. Got to "Who's Who" http://s1.zetaboards.com/The_Old_Codgers_LMZF/topic/140266/1/#new There is a list of squad leaders. Click on the one you want and you can pm your interest. This way the squad leader will have a "you've got a message" thingy pop up when they sign into the forum. In your face style ;) 4. Have a look around the "Squads" section in "news and announcements" there are always several topics saying "we're recruiting" etc etc. |
