You simply cannot have a "Horror" section and not mention the man... Aside from the Dark Tower series, I think my favorite book of his is The Shinning. The first time I read it at age 10 or 11, it scared the pants off me. so much so that I had to sleep with the lights on for about a week after. |

Lol yea and when the movie came out wow jack did a great jobMy main problem with Kings book are that the seem to end unfinshed thats just me. |

I agree with you there trash.some of his newer work has been a bit "blah" for my taste but his older works are much better. |

However good he might be, sometimes i just don't get it. I mean. I saw IT The miniseries and it scared the bejesus out of me when i was a kid. I later read the novel and i found it pretty dull... and to weird often. I mean whats up with the freakin turtle God thing anyway. Guess it's just not for me... On a sidenote. One of the scariest novels i've read is called Djinn. Too bad the ending sucked monkey balls (and i could see it from miles away). Anyway, most of the book is pretty damn good. |

the Dark Tower series of his is great, a very different but still spooky story I enjoyed reading was Lisey's Story. anyone read it? |

yeah, Lisey's story was a pretty cool read. another one i liked a lot was the green mile, not really spooky, i know, but i still think it was one of his best stories. |
