Am I the only one who finds Shannarah very repetitive? It seems to follow the same
1. Big Problem
2. Druid recruits Shannarah descendant
3. Go on Quest
4. More Characters introduced.
5. Big war approaches
6. Big war happens
7. Big war is won because of Shannarah descendant.

Rinse, Lather, and Repeat

It is. But it's just a question of which poor unwilling descendant is chosen and how they handle it. I like the trilogies, you can pretty much count on the first book being all about history lessons and digging up questors, the second is the embarking on and dangers of the quest, and the third the exciting climax with the unforseen twist. I like it, it just means to me that it's a book I'll like at the end because I'm used to the storyline. Certain ones are higher in my favorites list than others though. Which are your faves? Even though they're predictable?

I love Elfstones and Druid.

My favorite would have to be Elfstones and Talismans.
I guess I agree with you though, even though they are predictable, they are still amazing stories.

I love his books to, and I would have to agree with Shylie. Its not about the format, b/c we al know what will probably happen, its the journy to the conclusion.
