Wolf was standing still, as still as he could. It had been three seconds. Three whole seconds before he reached up with two fingers and scratched his temple with a series of quick little brushes. A sly smile crossed his face as he dipped his head down and passed a mischievous glance at the woman sitting not too far away from him. Since their return to the kingdoms Wolf had been a little more alive than usual. New York was paying hell on his soul; there was not enough room to bound with reckless abandon.

He shook his head, his dark shaggy hair shaking with him, as he forced himself to look forward again and remain still. 'I am...serene...' he thought. And automatically his fingers went to brush his head again. "Oh huff-puff!" He finally bubbled over with the energy that he had been holding in. He sprung forward almost throwing himself into the wall as he pointed up to the ceiling. "What do you think of a boarder. Right there? And over here." He drew in an excited gasp as his mouth fell open as if in dawning realization. "And there - right here." He jumped across the room and stood in the corner as he faced back to Virginia. "The crib. In this very spot." He beamed at her.

"We'll need hay, cubs like hay." He tipped his head to the side and nodded at her with a pleased little smile. "And then we can keep it here for when we have the next one. And even the one after that!" He told her merrily, not really noticing or acknowledging if she would agree to this plan. He darted over to her and dropped down beside her chair. He batted his eyes up at her after scooping up her hand and holding tight to it.

His face finally fell at seeing her face. "Oh no..." he said in true concern. It was in Wolf's nature to feel everything to the extremes. "You don't look pleased my little love muffin. What's troubling you?"

She could barely seem to keep up with his energy as he bounded around the room, Virginia's eyes following him as she crossed her arms over her chest and her face grew more and more concerned. She tried to tell herself she could do this, she said it over and over again, but it was all so much to take in. A baby - she had no experience with kids much less cubs - that brought a whole new set of concerns.

Virginia debated her words for a moment before sighing, letting her shoulders drop and she let go of Wolf's hand starting to pace the room. "I just - Really? Hay?" She asked, her nose scrunching up and letting out small laugh as she spread her arms, walking about the room. "What happened to changing tables and Diaper Genies and little mobiles of stars?"

Raising her hands up to her face, she held them there for a moment, working still to let it all sink in even though it had been a month and it still hadn't. Maybe once she began to show it would all be more real to her but now it just seemed so different. Not in a bad way, just not in the way she had expected things to turn out.

"Its just - Its all... its happening so fast, you know?" She asked, turning towards Wolf, a question on her face. "I don't know." She said, shrugging, "Maybe I still just need to catch up." She told him as she crossed the room and wrapped her arm up in his, laying her head upon his arm before another chuckle escaped her. "Hay?"

Wolf remained in his spot for a minute while she began to pace. His eyebrows dipped down, furrowing together in thought before one perked way up on his forehead. "Well I don't know any genies, but I bet we could get a couple pixies to run the mobile." He nodded. "Here!" He dashed forward again and pointed at the place where he said the crib would go. He arched his hands over the imaginary baby bed. "Right here, see it?" He nodded with a wide open mouthed grin.

The next moment she was next to him and he felt a little chill of excitement race up his spine. She still did that to him, she still had a power over him - of course it would never go away. He loved Virginia and would for all of his days. He let out a little breathless huff keeping himself composed as best as possible.

He reached over and pulled his arm out of his but tucked her under his arm so he could hold her closer to him. "But...but...oh Virginia." The grin and excitement filling him again. He almost released her to bound about the room but realizing that he had her close to him - which was better - he forced himself to remain in his spot. "Oh Virginia, yes I do - but, but - is there any other way? What's meant to happen will be and you my creamy dreamy sausage are supposed to be with me. It will do."

He had to pull her away so he could have a look at her. He was smiling again, all his teeth visible. He bent and lightly brushed his fingers against her temple this time. "My solemn wolf word - I'm yours. We can make it work - fast or not." He nodded after arching his eyebrows at her. "HAY!" He said as if realizing it for the first time, though she had plainly asked. He jumped forward and actually knelt on the ground, right next to where the imaginary crib would be. "Here, a small pile; and some in the crib of course." He bounced up and pointed down where he said the bed would be.

He raced forward and placed both hands on her lower belly. "You do like hay little one, right?" He glanced up at Virginia and nodded. "They like hay." He tipped his head to the side as he glanced up at her with the same coy and mischievous look.

Genies? Pixies? There wasn't anything special or extraordinary about Virginia, not that she saw at least. She had always been normal, blending in with all the other unexceptional people that wandered the city. These things didn't happen to her. Once back in the city, even with Wolf's presence, she had been able to look back on it as more of a dream than anything else. That her mind had exaggerated certain things and feelings that had occured.

And she was scared, contronted with the truth once again. It all sent her reeling with every new discovery and sight and she longed for the safety and stability of home. She felt bad taking Wolf away from here and penting him up in the city but she couldn't ignore the nervousness and fear that dwelled in her stomach, so unsure of what to do.

"Do they?" She asked as she placed her hands on his and rubbed them. With a loud sigh, she let her eyes roll up to the ceiling then back down again towards Wolf. "You're right - you are. I just - I can't help but feel like its all going crazy on me. And I - yes that would be a great place for the crib but - when do we get to home again?" She asked nervously as she moved away from where he stood walking over to the spot that he had specified for the crib. "I have my job and my grandmother needs me, I have responsibilites there that I can't just leave behind."

Her eyes grew large as she watched him, nervous for his reaction. She didn't want to disappoint him, far from it, but she just - she couldn't stay here forever.
