"Why do you have to bring that up!" Morrigan sat up straight, her cheeks flushed with irritation at her friend's lashing out at her. "I know I looked like a fat donkey - you know I looked like a fat donkey...everyone knew! But they can forget now. It's time to forget about it." She grumbled falling back in her chair. "Besides I saw a swatch of the fabric this time. It was sky blue - very pretty." She said quickly on the defense.

She glanced out the window mulling over all the things Rosalind had said. She didn't like squeakers either, that was horrible. It brought her around to the man she was supposed to marry. Morrigan hadn't trifled as much as she did now. She was a tease and a flirt, there was no doubt about it but even with that she had been in love. The man who had won her heart died recently and it had crushed her very spirit. Wendell's Viscount Lansky was that man. She had adored everything about him, from the way he moved to the words he said. He had won her entire heart and soul and they were to marry. He had been charmed by her, she was innocent then - she was full of coy countenance and it only worked in both of their interests. However a mere month prior she received word from Wendell's advisory board that he had been killed in the line of duty. Morrigan locked herself in her room for two weeks and came out a different girl - the sly and devious creature she was now. It was only after the fact that she even remembered she'd met Wendell; he was a mere decoration int he castle aside the love of her life. She had been blind to all other men. In fact, she couldn't describe Wendell in detail - yet still she wanted to capture him.

She wanted to break hearts to mend her, with the intention to make everyone feel the same pain. It killed her to think about and she hated Rosalind a little bit for allowing it to enter her mind at all. The girl knew, or so she thought, that Morrigan had truly loved her betrothed. She frowned a little. She would have been a good wife, a proper lady of the court - she had even had most of her room packed and her things sent to the 4th Kingdom where she would make it their home. She was ready to be a misus, more than ready - he was a good deal older than her but that only drew her more. Now she was simply bitter about the whole idea of love; where before she had been a true believer in all that the kingdom stood for and the love it was built on now crumbled away. She had become one of them, one of the typical 1st Kingdom nobles.

She had always pretended to be the cat that she actually was now, particulary with her friends. However she hadn't meant it - her heart hadn't been in it, as it already belonged to Lansky. But now that she'd been forced to take it back against her will she was trying to figure it all out and readjust to living loveless life. "Did you see that new princess?" Morrigan asked in a bored tone. "She was...I simply don't have words. I think she was with Duke Brendenton."

Morrigan sat up straight as if in dawning realization. "I mean KING! Did you know he's a king now Rosalind? Brendonton - he owns the largest province in the kingdom now. He's the king, he's not a duke anymore!" She turned her two large eyes on her friend. "And he was seen with her."
