Wendell sent Jasella a scowl before he fell silent, not entirely sure he could even come up with a retort that would rival her's. She had him--she had him backed up in a corner and now she was just baring her fangs at full height, the sharp points hardly scary him. It was more annoying than frightening--he had lost. This once he had lost but that didn't mean there wouldn't be a faltering in her person and, in turn, a chance for him to escape his little corner only to back her into the very same one.

Wendell watched quietly as Virigina appeared before them, a small hint of a smile crossing his own face. She had helped save his life and for it he was grateful--he was grateful for that sort of self-sacrifice and for that courage too. Tony, Wolf, and Virigina all offered him a kindness he hadn't expected to exist and it was eye opening. It showed him what it meant to help others, to understand the needs of others...of strangers, even. And although he did his best to stay as proper as he had been before, Wendell couldn't completely disregard the humbleness about him for it. He had, without his own knowledge, learned something that would no doubt lead him to a newer, maybe even better Wendell White.

Not, of course, that he was entirely happy about it--a part of him was absolutely terrified of becoming anything different than he was now.

"Quite well, I assure you--it is refreshing to see you, Virigina." Wendell offered with a soft bow of his head. It was as Wolf appeared that he winced slightly, never having been the biggest fan of the man. But that didn't mean he didn't respect him just as he did Tony and Virigina.

A sly smile crossed his face as Wolf hid, behind Virigina, from Jasella's very presence. His eyes cut to her and the smile only grew in width. "I imagine that the Marquis means no harm--at least not now that she's seen you, Wolf. Does this satisfy you?" Wendell asked with raised eyebrows before he looked towards Wolf and took a step towards Wolf. "I promise to show you the wolf that saved my life and here you are. Right before your disbelieving eyes and very much a wolf known even to your kingdom, it seems. Would you like him to howl for you too?" Wendell scoffed softly before smiling towards Virigina and Wolf.

"Forgive me, my friends--we came for a visit none too long. To prove to Marquis Alcott that a noble wolf did in fact exist--that there is a reason for the pardon at all. But wait for it...I can only imagine the newest development by the woman. I expect she'll find something wrong you that should surely make me relieve all wolves in the nine kingdoms of their freedoms." Wendell spoke as if Jasella was not standing there--as if it was simply the three of them. But he turned to look towards her a moment later.

"Please--tell us what you're thinking and remove any lingering doubt--although I don't believe any exists but just in case." Wendell waved his hand forward, eyebrows still raised.

"For the sake of your kingdom, I accept the apology...but a word to the wise, Marquis. I am not an enemy you would ever wish to have--it would do you well to remember it." - Wendell White
