Jasella was nodding with a smug smile on her face still. It was almost a permanent fixture as she didn't bother giving him a second look she just listened. "Oh of course. Why wouldn't it have been a test? I'm positive that it was actually a test for each of us wasn't it your majesty?" She poked a little further. "I contend that my cleverness is superior if only for the fact that I listen and didn't bother trying to guide the entire team across an unfamiliar terrain when one present is intimately familiar with it. But I have no doubt we would have found it eventually had we continued on with your lead." Her eyes finally betrayed her and they trailed up to the king; however there was a heavy amount of amusement in them.

"Oh," she went on with a little bit of perk in her - it was artificial but still present as she gave him a little nod, "That wasn't intended to implicate anything about your brash leadership in regards to familiar territory - it was only an observation of that which is unknown." She could still feel the fury in her chest, but now it was mingled with glee.

She had to stop any further attacks on him and turn back to the waitress who was swiftly returning with a pretty little short haired girl who looked a little concerned. Their mismatched appearance in a group might be frightening to anyone but the short haired girl didn't seem to be phased by that - it was the other one who seemed to be slightly afraid of them.

She peeked back up to Wendell, this time issuing her own under the breath snide remark. "The stage is yours, won't you give us another show." She leaned back and folded her arms across her chest as she looked ahead at who she could only assume was Virginia. She was uncomfortable without her sword and all the eyes on her but it had been insisted that they leave all weapons behind. Though the more she considered leaving the safety of the group in Wendell's hands the more she wished she had disregarded his decree on the matter.

"For the sake of your kingdom, I accept the apology...but a word to the wise, Marquis. I am not an enemy you would ever wish to have--it would do you well to remember it." - Wendell White
