 Wendell stood still in his spot for a moment, his jaw clenching tight as he listened to Jasella's taunt, a scowl crossing his face before it faded away. It wasn't noble or even morally acceptable to have that sort of hate written across your face. Therefore Wendell shoved it deep down, taking in a deep breath and letting it out roughly before he spun on his heels and reluctantly followed behind Jasella, to even offering the waitress behind him an apology.

But no matter how much Jasella rubbed him raw, no matter how absolutely infuriating she was, he wasn't going to back down on his word. He had already promised aid from the fourth kingdom for the second and when it came to political and military action, all arrogance in Wendell was set aside. Underneath the big head and superfluous words, Wendell understood the position he was in and he took his job absolutely serious. To protect his kingdom and to protect those around him too--even if those around him were just as irritating and hot-tempered as the woman before him.

"Not a word--" Wendell said, eyes snapping towards Tony as he stepped into the shop behind Jasella and let out a heavy breath as he listened to her ask for Virigina--just as he had to the woman across the street. Only this time the waitress knew who they were asking for and promised to return with Virigina in a moments time.

"That doesn't prove any cleverness above my own." Wendell said as he fell into step beside Jasella, watching as the waitress disappeared towards the back of the restaurant. "I was merely checking to see if Anthony had forgotten which one it was--it has been a while since he was last here." Wendell spoke lamely as he tried his best to recover from the swift kick she had given him. He pulled lightly at his sleeves as he tipped his chin upwards. He knew he was wrong--he knew it whatever he said only dug his hole deeper but he couldn't stop himself. He couldn't loose to this woman.
