Dexter had easily concealed his appearance with magic. It merely took a wink. He wondered, as he passed through the mirror, if he would be able to use his gift of shadow step to come here on a whim after having visited it. Dexter had a special gift within his magical abilities, like many of his kind had the ability to wrangle magic in some way. Dexter learned at a very young age that shadows held a certain power that many could not see - he could step into the edge of one and step out of the edge of another anywhere he could imagine.

He wondered if knowing this place now, imagining it - if he'd be able to link the interwoven shadows from his land and this one. With all the lights shining bright his mind exploded with possibilities. So much that he slipped into the nearest shadow and out of one across the park and then right next to Belle. He smiled at her and bent lifting her hand and pressing his lips to the back of it. He was in spirit entirely; it never occurred to him that it might offend her as he wasn't condescending (simply adventurous, mischievous and coy) - he was simply acting on instinct. He rose and offered his arm to her while tossing the cane in his other hand into the air and catching it half way up the shaft. He pointed straight ahead with it. "Let's be on then, won't you?" He looked at her and then down to his arm. Dexter, having arrived when he did never thought that Belle was anything other than a dignitary as she was dressed in the marquis's clothes - not that it would have mattered to him either way. He was simply was behaving on instinct.

"Your majesties," He peeked back at Wendell and Jasella, "friends, show me - teach me - I'm ready to learn," he looked back at Belle and told her, "this will be an experience of a lifetime. I assure you. Perhaps even an adventure." He leaned over and whispered with a twinkling smile as top hat appeared on his head. He used the end of his cane to tip it back on his head as he lifted his chin ready to take on this brave new world.

"For the sake of your kingdom, I accept the apology...but a word to the wise, Marquis. I am not an enemy you would ever wish to have--it would do you well to remember it." - Wendell White
