"Probably." Rosalind really didn't care either way. If he cried so be it. If he didn't, it was only because he was putting on a brave face. He really should have known better though. The man had only been meant for a good time. It was his fault for growing attached and started to speak of things about her being his next wife and such. At that point, she knew she had to break it off so two weeks after telling him that she would indeed marry him, she was now writing him a letter to tell him that she would rather choke on her own vomit than do so, though in slightly prettier language. Dexter... she rolled the name around in her mind. He might do for a fun time while working against Morrigan for Wendell's attention. As she had voiced it first, Rosalind was forced to step aside and pretend to be excited as she tore her apart right in front of the King and then calmly and quickly took her spot on his arm. After all, that was what friends did and if she thought she would do any differently than she really did deserve to have him stolen. "I am not a liar!" She exclaimed, outraged at being called so. Whether it was the truth or not did not matter, what mattered was that she had accused her of it in the first place. "I'm sure. You said your last dress was blue as well and it came back that awful grey color. Do you remember that?" She asked, smiling cheerfully as if sharing an old beloved story though her eyes told a different story in the true undercutting and meanings behind her words. "You looked like a fat donkey." Rosalind added with a small giggle. "I imagine they're more the singing types than a screamer or squeaker." With a shake of her head, she noted, "I hate squeakers. How unmanly can a person get. Its disgusting. You know Marquis Miller squeaks?" She added with a sick little glee. "Why do you think I ditched him so quickly?" With a roll of her eyes, she raised her arm up in the air, snapping a couple times towards the maids that milled the room. "Everyone knows that, Morrigan." As one of the women came up beside her, she smiled towards her. "I'm thirsty. Get me a drink." Sitting back, she watched as her stepsister scuttled off from the room to fetch her some water and turned back to Morrigan. "But like I said, that's not exactly breaking news." She continued with a coy smile. |
