"I didn't know any different." Tony said. "But I'll take valor anyway." He beamed. The truth was Tony hated New York. The only part of it he missed was the authentic beer. The beer here, when able to be found was not nearly as perfected as can of the brew he could pick up at the corner store back home. Aside for Virginia, that was the only thing he missed. Baseball, sometimes he missed baseball too; but it was a small price to pay for the grandeur that was the 9 Kingdoms - and his place in that world. He sighed a little as he watched his friend prod the royal and her in turn take the bate. This was a cat and mouse game he'd seen hundreds of times just on a different playing field; but the point and outcome were always the same. He was speaking as he stepped through. "I can't be sure where they live or anything, but we could try my mother-in-law; no scratch that." He frowned at the thought. "I'd rather scour the city on my hands and knees first." He'd already stepped through, behind the fairy who's magic had wrapped him in a fancy wingless tux that had Tony questioning what exactly he thought New York was like. If he thought that was fitting in clothes Duke Dexter was sure to be surprised. He managed stepping right next to Belle. "The lights? They do it every time." He smirked. He turned to see if Wendell was following. "Can I bring back a six pack?" He smiled hopefully at the king after he appeared next to him. |
