Loki

Loki's wounds were healing, but everything else was still raw. Loki felt like crap putting Shadowfire through this again. He didn't deserve this...and now he was gone. Loki had gotten out of the den for a little while. It was dark, and Loki never left the small clearing at the mouth of her den. If Shadow wanted to leave her, fine, let him go. Loki knew she didn't want that, but she would have rathered him leave than to be stuck with a weakling fae like herself. What kind of fae throws herself into her mate's jaws? What kind of fae hesitates to kill when her pup is at risk?! Loki had.

Loki sighed as she layed on the cool grass. She was tired of being the poor, pathetic, femmie who can't do anything. Shadowfire had every right to leave her, every right to hate her, even the right to torture her and leave her for dead. Loki hadn't cried since the day after the murders. She hadn't let herself tumble anyfurther down than she already was. She had been thinking of how to, apologize? prove herself? She didn't quite know. She had broken her oath. She was suppost to obey her mate, no matter what the situation or risk. If her mate said to jump off a cliff, then off that cliff she would have gone. That's how she was suppost to act..

Loki closed her eyes,"Sis, I hope where ever you are that you are suffering. You brought this onto Shadowfire. I can hear you laughing in my dreams.. I hope you feel proud.. Your mate's in Star Clan, and I hope you rot in hell! You're worse than any dog!! If I could kill you again, oh, what a death it would be!!!" Lokis eyes snapped open. Was this how Victoria thought?! Loki's eyes fell to her paws, and her mouth dropped open. Where there used to be black spots, there were yellow! She looked up her leg, they didn't even go past her ankle, but they were there. Loki thought she must be crazy. Her pelt couldn't have changed!

Loki blinked a few times. She was just dillusional right? She crept over to her den, and began to wait for Shadowfire. She had to tell him, everything! She waited, and waited, but soon her head fell and her eyelids drooped. She was fast asleep.

-Pyralis Antioch-

Pyralis sauntered along the rocky embankment. Her head was low, eyes sharp and dangerous. She wasn't having a particularly great day, having started the morning by falling into the rapids in the mountains. Alistair had gone hunting yet again. He'd managed to grab a few baby rabbits but that was about all. He had caught the scent of young deer in the morning and decided to track them...alone. She rolled her eyes, men! Of course, she understood. He needed to vent his frustration and she needed to vent hers. Todd was off by himself yet again. A month had passed and the grief had passes for the most part. If Alistair wasn't over himself by the time she returned she was going to knock some sense into him. They needed to bond, needed to stay together.

She sighed and scratched at her head. Well, she was going to have to be the peace-maker. Ok, just chill...life will go on regardless. As she walked along she caught the scent of another fae and her eyes widened. She barely knew the scent as they'd only really met once. It belonged to Loki, one of Velocity's good friends and even without seeing the fae Pyra knew that the fae was in an equally somber mood. Hmm...

Pyralis curved her slender frame around a tree, eyes focused, calculating. Loki was near to her den and she seemed impatient and sorrowful. It couldn't just be Velocity's death that was causing this. Something else had happened. She approached slowly, head down to seem less threatening. "Loki? Has something happened?"

Loki

Loki was startled as a familiar pup called her out. She jumped to her feet, cracking the scabbing on her back. Blood and puss oozed out. Great, another problem... She would need to let it heal a bit before Shadowfire got back. "Oh! Um, no, everythings ok. Where's everybody? What are you doing here, Pyralis?" Loki looked back into the den. Her pups were still sleeping. Loki crouched back down into a laying position. Pyralis seemed sad. Loki tilted her head, ready to hear whatever the pup needed.

Ok? Liar...Pyralis' ears twitched. Had Loki heard the news of Velocity? Would it be right to tell her? "Please don't lie to me, Loki. I'm young but I know better. Did you get in a fight? You're bleeding." Pyra thought about leaving to get some herbs but she was curious as to what the fae was trying to hide. A fight was serious and while Pyra considered herself to be a loner in almost every sense she still felt a strong connection to the Rogue's Guild and it's members. Any threat would need to be taken care of immediately. Shame she wasn't older... She glanced around, brow knotted, always full to the brim of questions. "Where are the pups?"

(short not sure what to say)^^;

(ooc: Since this is still here, I'm coming after all. Can't let it just die, can I? ;) )

Kampě – Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch’entrate. –Dante

Look out, world. The wound on her face was healed now, all except for a thin, ugly scar that ran across her face above her eye, and down past the corner of it. The scar only added to her terrifying appearance. Kampě had feasted on a young goat in the hill country, and now her strength was restored. She went straight to the forest of tall trees where she'd left her Prejudice. He was the favorite of all her children. He was winged, and he was cunning and cold. Sometimes he seemed soft-hearted, but he was as fierce as she could've ever hoped. When he was only a month old, a scorpion had crawled into their nest. Kampě had found him fencing with it, though his eyes were scarcely opened, and she watched to see what would happen. Judis fought ferociously, and killed it without getting stung.

She found the ruin-like rocks where she'd left him. The traces of his scent were old, and he was not there. There were also two other scents all around the place, which filled Kampě with a motherly dread she hadn't known she could feel. What had they done with her baby? There was a trail--Prejudice had wandered off in one direction, following the female's scent. Kampě took off after him recklessly, tracking his scent over the ground.

She was walking, not flying, so she caught the new scents of two wolves nearby. She also smelled the stick of an old wound. Kampě growled to herself. Neither of the scents was the one that had taken her pup, but, instinctively, she went closer, drawn both by the scent of a wounded creature and the need to find her son. She came to the edge of the den site, and crouched in the undergrowth, motionless. She wreathed her wings around her like shadows, and her green-gray fur blended into the dusky shade. Her yellow eyes took in the young pup and wounded red, black, and yellow femme. She saw no sign of Judis. She sneered in disgust. There was nothing here to interest her. She wavered between simply slipping away and rushing out to take out her frustration on the two four-limbs. Maybe they could be persuaded to tell her something about Judis...

Loki didn't answer and Pyra's ears went back in frustration. Why did the fae think sulking here would help? Pyralis had lost two mothers and her father in the first few months of life and she had learned to move on, it came almost instinctually to her. Sulking solved nothing, why couldn't Loki see that?

Before Pyra could vent her frustration her hair stood up, she was being watched... Her small body tensed and she turned around so that her back was to Loki where an ally could watch it. She listened carefully but the noise of the forest had fallen far more silent. The songbirds had been spooked by something...a hawk? She looked up and saw nothing.

"Alright! That's enough of that! Come out you!" She raised her hackles and did her best to look tough.

Kampě – Lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch’entrate. –Dante

The pup was barking at her. Kampě’s lips lifted a little over her teeth. For a moment, she considered just ignoring her. After all, the pup couldn’t know whom or what she was talking to. It might be no more than a large animal walking through the woods. If Kampě didn’t respond, it would seem the girl was just imagining things. After all, what was the pup going to do to her? Come charging into the bush after her? That’d be a good recipe for a broken neck. Kampě could deal with her much better unawares and out of sight than in the middle of the clearing.

But the pair was no threat. The femme was wounded badly enough she couldn’t fight, and the pup couldn’t be more than half grown. So Kampě decided to come forth. She parted the brush with her nose. Length by length, her long, snakelike body slid out of the undergrowth. Her black wings arched eerily above her shoulders. Kampě adopted the innocent mother role, however. She wasn’t doing anyone any harm, was she? They couldn’t be so heartless as to blame her for her appearance, could they? She said humbly, “I’m sorry, I’m looking for my son. He was supposed to wait for me here, but I can’t find him anywhere. Have you seen him? You would know if you did. He…” She half unfurled her wings, fanning them abruptly and tucking them back again, as if to say, He’s got wings. You can’t miss him.

Loki

Loki heard the questions, but they didn't really sink in. Loki looked at her yellow speckled paws. How did this happen again? Loki tried to look up, but she kept seeing Victoria. She kept seeing Shadowfire charge with anger. She saw Powderstripe's tiny body coughing up blood as her eyes lost light. And she knew it was all her fault for being so stupid as to leave the den.

"I uh...Don't know....The pups are here....Well, two of them are.." Loki looked past her paws. Why was she saying things like this? Loki didn't have anything to hide...

Loki suddenly snapped her head up to the appearing wolf. Her body was up in an instant, bringing more blood from the scabbing wound. Her fur shot up and her lips curved back into a snarle. A low growl rose, but suddenly dropped as a winged wolf appeared. She was intimidating, but somehow she wasn't threatning. Loki lowered her defencive stance. That was....unlike her, to act all agressive to someone like that.

Her son?"No, we have not seen him..." Loki walked forwards a few steps, getting closer to Pyra."I'm sure we would have recognized him, but we haven't seen him... Sorry..."
