Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 1:14 pm by lunarcat7 June, Yr. 18 Yuri Somnio Shyam Alkali Yuri enjoyed the fact that he could finally walk again as well as the fact that he was going to come clean about his identity. The thought was almost as refreshing as his walk through the Tall Fortress. A light breeze was stirring and although the sun was up, the pine trees provided ample shade. Yuri shifted his weight forward slightly and grinned. Yes, his broken leg had healed up very nicely and now he was finally ready to earn a rank in Willow Valley. A little ways away Shyam was making his way through the Tall Fortress as well. The culture of Caelum just didn't suit him and he was ready to travel again and try a different country. Suddenly he paused as he noticed a small black wolf, the young brute turned and Shyam grinned with recognition at the white mask and pale gold eyes. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Yuri himself! Happy Birthday by the way." Yuri smiled and greeted his friend. That's right, he was one year old now. My how the moths had flown. The two brutes had met last month in Willow Valley. Shyam was heading south from the Glacier Mountains when the two ran into each other. They were wary at first, even aggressive but that ebbed away with understanding and now they were friends. It was kind of shame that Shyam was leaving. Yuri was still convinced that he'd like Willow Valley but the brute was determined to try elsewhere. He'd made to many enemies to quickly. "So, still heading out?" "Yea, I think I'll head south a little farther and than travel west until I find something. I see your leg has healed?" Yuri nodded. The two chatted for a little while as they came to a stream. They took turns drinking while the other kept a look-out. ooc: ehh...crappeh....don't know what to say... |

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 12:28 am by Em [OOC: Bringing another WV wolf... if you don't mind. :) ] Alice Demitrius The crimson and white fae hadn't wandered far from where Kiahi and Devin had been before she stumbled across two scents that were vaguely familiar. Even if it was only because they smelled faintly of Willow Valley, Alice thought she recognized them somehow. She followed the scents, taking her time while walking in order to reflect on everything that had just happened with Kiahi and Devin. She was still in a state of shock over seeing a winged wolf. She'd never even heard the myths and rumors of their existence. His presence had been one unlike any she had ever felt, as well. She could quite simply say that she had a respect for him that she had never had for any other wolf in Caelum that she had ever met. The simple act of him moving to protect her from another fae touched a part of her that she thought had died with her mother, and then with her father again, as much as she hated to admit it. It was a certain section of her heart that, as far as Alice knew, was dead to the world. But Kiahi - with his magical wings and chivalrous attitude - had made her see that perhaps there was some good left in this world. Even if it lay only with one winged wolf. Voices slowly reached Alice's ears, and she perked them up to capture more of the sounds. They were not familiar to her, but the scents they belonged to were. She picked up the pace, then slowed down considerably as their voices became louder and their scents stronger. Not wanting to startle the two brutes - she was certain they were in fact brutes that lived in Willow Valley or had at least been to the Valley recently - that were conversing. The two were chatting near a small stream, and Alice slowly made her presence known. She stepped out from a small grove of tall trees and dipped her noble head in greeting, surprised that she had already met so many wolves after only so recently departing from the Valley. She didn't plan on being gone away from her family for too much longer, but she definitely wanted to see more of what Caelum was all about. Alice didn't want to go back knowing she hadn't seen much of the lands she had been born in. Only the Gods knew the next time she'd be able to sneak away. "Hello," Alice said, slightly shy. The dark brute with the white mask and pale gold eyes looked slightly familiar, but she did not dwell on the thought. She looked at both of the brutes - one older than the other, and smiled at them. She wasn't sure whether she should say where she was from, or wait until they guessed. Alice finally decided that the statement of her name was necessary. She had missed that when she had met Devin. The fae still didn't know her name, but then again, Alice didn't know hers, either. Alice looked at both of the brutes and then her emerald eyes settled on the black brute with the white face - the one that looked most familiar to her and smelled the most like he was from Willow Valley. "Alice Demitrius, of Willow Valley." Edited by Keno Yasu Kedieo, Sep 3 2009, 12:19 AM.

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 12:42 am by Nocturne Regeane - Why was it that whenever she encountered other wolves, even pups, she was just socially awkward? Bright green eyes glittered softly as Regeane tread lightly on the ground of the Tall Fortress, more or less she was contemplating her path. Having been born in RiverClan it only seemed natural to go back...but her parents and family probably weren't there anymore, the chances were too slim. On the other hand, she heard Willow Valley was starting to thrive; but she wasn't familiar with anything relating to the Valley, so she didn't want to look like an idiot. Then there was ShadowClan, Regeane shuddered softly; her parents told her to never trust a ShadowClanner, so she chose not to become one. WindClan? That was a fairly quiet clan, that was possibly a good start. FireClan was making far too much noise and bad rumors for her liking, so that was ruled out right away. ThunderClan was gone, if the wolves remained together than they were hiding pretty well. Regeane took a step into a stream and looked down slightly surprised, then she merely shook her head and reached down to take a drink. Muffled voices filled her ears, three? Two were most certainly males, the other was a female; raising her nose she sniffed the air, and Regeane moved toward the bunch at a slow pace. Giving a short bark to announce her arrival the fae sat down a bit away from them, this was her sign that they could tell her to leave when they were bored with her company. "Greetings, I am Regeane; I was wondering...where am I?" Might as well play the loner act for now, she wasn't sure if she'd run into any of them again so she'd play it off like she was lost. That way she didn't look like a spy, or like a shady character. |

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 6:48 pm by lunarcat7 Shyam Alkali Yuri Somnio Shyam licked the water off his lips. It was wonderful on this warm June day and he let it dribble down his chin. He knew that soon he would continue his journey and he'd head north a little ways instead, perhaps? He did miss his family after all and while the freezing temperatures of the arctic weren't nearly as enjoyable as this breeze the love of family would keep him warm. Yuri watched his friend and ignored the pang in his stomach. It was strange to make a friend only to lose him just as soon. Suddenly he paused as he caught the faint scent of another Willow Valley wolf. He turned to stare at a lovely red and white fae with gorgeous emerald green eyes. She dipped her head in greeting and Yuri followed suit. Shyam grinned as the fae introduced herself. What a lovely name, Alice, the sight of her alone beckoned him to stay. "It's a pleasure Alice. I'm Shyam Alkali and this is my friend Yuri Somnio. What brings you here this fine summer day?" Yuri looked down suddenly embarrassed. He hadn't told the members of Willow Valley his real name yet but...he'd never met this fae before so maybe she didn't know that he'd been calling himself Levi Vangard. A short bark alerted the brutes to the presence of another fae with glittering green eyes. This fae was a year or so older than the other but Yuri couldn't help but wonder if they were related. Probably not though, he didn't see any recognition in the older fae's face. "You're in the Tall Fortress. It's neutral territory, it's also where all the alphas of the clans gather for peace-keeping meetings and things like that. It's pretty nice in the summer...um...do you need any help finding somewhere?" ooc: eh...trouble getting the muse to work. |

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 11:17 pm by Em Alice Demitrius As Alice waited for one or both of the two brutes she had managed to stumble across to speak, she sniffed the air inconspicuously, somewhat hoping that she would find Kiahi's scent among the muddled smells in the air. No such luck. It seemed that the winged brute - along with his scent - had vanished altogether in only a matter of minutes. A small, inaudible sigh passed Alice's lips and she allowed her gleaming emerald eyes to wander from the two brutes. Movement caught her eye, and she turned her head to face a female who appeared lost. Though Alice felt that the female was somewhat familiar with Caelum, Alice decided to accept that she was indeed a newcomer. Alice shot a glance at the two males who smelled like Willow Valley and then looked back at the fae, saying nothing but dipping her head and smiling as politely as was possible for her. Alice then redirected her eyes to the two brute who had only just stopped conversing by the stream. She hoped that her presence hadn't interrupted something important. Upon turning her eyes to the two young brutes, Alice instantly caught the gaze of one brute in particular. The way he smiled at her, well, it was unlike any smile Alice had ever been given. In Willow Valley, she was unseen by most of the brutes. She was either too tall, or they thought that she was an ice princess by the way she refused to talk to them. But in all reality, she was intensely shy upon meeting new wolves, especially males. Alice blushed furiously as the young male introduced himself as Shyam Alkali, and then introduced the male with the white mask as well. Forcing herself to calm down, Alice smiled back shyly and looked away, blushing. "The pleasure is all mine," she said softly, slowly returning her gaze to Shyam's and then Yuri's. So far, the black brute with the white mask hadn't said a word to her. She found this odd, because he was the one who smelled most like Willow Valley. "I was just wandering around Caelum for the time being - trying to see what it's all about before I go back home." Alice had surprised herself with how much she was speaking to this male she had only just met. It wasn't like her to confide in another - especially someone she didn't really know. Alice shook the thought away and turned her head to look at the older fae who had looked so lost. Yuri explained where she was, and Alice nodded in agreement. "Is there anywhere in particular you're looking to go?" Alice wasn't the best at directions, but she definitely knew where Willow Valley, the Lone Terra, the White Sand Beach, and the Glacier Mountains were. These were all places she had been to before now in the Tall Fortress. Alice shifted on her crimson paws slightly before moving back a few paces so she could see both the two males and the female without having to turn completely around to talk to either. She turned that emerald gaze, then, on Shyam in particular. "It may not be my place to say or ask this, but you seem familiar..." Alice let her statement trail off, lowering her eyes and then raising them again to Shyam's. "Have we met?" She felt a strong connection to Shyam in particular, and couldn't help but wonder if she had seen him or spoken to him somewhere before. |

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 11:44 pm by Nocturne Regeane Maniel - Ah yes, social awkwardness began to kick in as Regeane looked at the group, they all seemed to know one another or at least be familiar with their faces; staring at the ground bashfully she crossed her front paws and her ears fell to half-mast, her bright green eyes turned upward when she was spoken to. It was the male with the mask spoke to her, and offered her help even; Regeane was flattered, the lands they'd been raised in were harsh and you had to fend for yourself; her eyes glowed with appreciation, and then the fae Alice also asked as well. "Well...I really don't know. I had heard of a Willow Valley where a peaceful pack resides, and that sounds quite lovely. I've also heard rumors of a WindClan, but I hear the terrain is harsh...." Regeane trailed off, even with her arctic heritage would she be able to handle the weather of WindClan? Regeane felt like she might, but she would see what the Valley was like before making any judgement. "Is the Willow Valley close?" Regeane asked, she hadn't really been out of RiverClan so she was unsure of where she would go, her bright eyes soft as she looked down at the ground again. Uncrossing her paws she let her tail slide over them, the fae was indeed quite nervous about this whole idea of socializing; she knew though, that she needed to improve her skills in the art of converstation. |

Posted: Wed Aug 12, 2009 1:03 pm by lunarcat7 -Yuri Somnio- -Shyam Alkali- Yuri's head tipped to the side as he watched Alice. She seemed to be looking for something that apparently wasn't here. Perhaps she was expecting to meet someone else than two random brutes who were lazing about in the forest. "I was just wandering around Caelum for the time being - trying to see what it's all about before I go back home." Shyam grinned. "How ironic! So am I...well, I mean I just finished my tour of Caelum and I was on my way out when I ran into Yuri here and we thought we'd enjoy the afternoon for a bit before I go. Out of curiousity...whereabouts are you from?" If she lived outside of Caelum he wouldn't mind following her to a new home. Shyam carefully bumped into Yuri. He'd been trying for weeks to pull Yuri out of his shell but the other male was still so introverted. Alice suggested that they'd met before and Shyam paused, trying to think but he was almost certain that he would've remembered such a pretty face. "I don't think so...I'm sure I'd never forget such a lovely face." He grinned. "Though, my friend here is a Willow Valley wolf and the scent as rubbed off on me a bit...is that it perhaps?" Yuri's attention was focused more on Regeane. She was interested in Willow Valley? His ears perked up. "Yea, Windclan is pretty rough, especially during the winter. Willow Valley is really nice and the weather is mild all year around. I could take you there if you wanted to check it out. Maybe we could all go there?" He looked at Shyam but the male shrugged. Shyam wasn't in a hurry to leave but he did want to get a move on so he could find a place to stay before fal set in too heavily. |

Posted: Wed Aug 12, 2009 1:31 pm by Em Alice Demitrius Alice's emerald eyes turned to Regeane as she waited for the older wolf to speak. Though the fae appeared to be hopelessly lost, Alice couldn't help but feel that she had been wandering around Caelum for some time now. Surely she must know at least where some of the lands were. She knew that the Tall Fortress was a neutral territory, anyway. At least that was a start. The fae's soft voice entered Alice's ears and she averted her eyes, wondering if she would ever have a voice that pretty. In growing older, Alice had also grown increasingly self-conscious. Especially of her height. She knew that she didn't look like anything special, save for her extremely tall stature. Her red and white coat was nothing out of the ordinary, and her emerald eyes, while beautiful, were not atypical in the slightest. There was a sort of intrigue in being different, at least in Alice's opinion. Heck, even her name was plain-jane. Alice. Bleh. Alice raised her green eyes to Regeane again and listened to her speak, the topic of Willow Valley quickly coming up in the conversation. Alice removed her eyes from Regeane's again. Gods, was there nowhere in Caelum she could go without being reminded of the Valley?! Shyam's voice reached her ears and Alice looked up suddenly, staring directly at him. She glanced at Yuri, but the young brute said nothing to her. She couldn't decide if he was shy or if he just didn't like her. For all Alice knew, it could have been both. She wanted to say something to the quiet brute, but found that she really had nothing to say. Small-talk wasn't really her thing. Strangely enough, Shyam seemed to be very good at it. "Willow Valley, actually," Alice said. Shyam obviously hadn't heard what she'd said about being from the Valley earlier, so Alice took the chance to remind all of them. She was glad for the fact that none of them commented on her last name - the Demitrius' had been a Willow Valley legacy for many years. Alice's eyes were locked onto Shyam's. She wanted to get to know him better, but she was too shy to say so with words. Alice wondered why Shyam would want to leave Caelum. The thought had actually never even entered her mind before. She had just wanted to get away for a little while - get away from the sadness and the stress. She wanted to forget about Jackson who was fighting some FireClan brute somewhere in Caelum, but most of all, she wanted to escape from the memory of her mother. Sadly, the Tall Fortress wasn't erasing her memory anytime soon. As far as posture went, Alice's had never been the best. She always seemed sort of hunched over - a side-effect from being ridiculously tall and hating every minute of it. So she stood, feeling exposed and vulnerable, unwilling to sit down. She almost appeared even more tall when she was seated. Alice raised her eyes to Shyam when he said that she was lovely and blushed crimson beneath the white fur of her face. She looked away and then back at Shyam. "Perhaps..." She let her statement trail off, but suggesting that there was something more to it and disregarding it... but not completely. "I could take you there, if you'd like," Alice looked up shyly at the group. She could give directions back to Willow Valley in her sleep, and knew the terrain like the back of her paw. She had been born there, after all. So had her father... well, Namchuri. Alice looked at Yuri. "I mean, you could lead, if you wanted to." Alice looked at Shyam, then her gaze slid away from his. "I was thinking about heading home soon, anyway." |

Posted: Mon Aug 17, 2009 8:29 pm by lunarcat7 Yuri felt his stomach twist a little but he wasn't sure why. He pushed the feeling to the back of his mind as the wind began to pick up. The trees swayed heavily and the pine needles smacked against each other like small rattles, tinkling delicately above his head. He gazed at his friend and then back at the faes. Maybe they'd be interested in coming back with him to Willow Valley? Shame Shyam wouldn't be going but he knew how important it was for the brute to return home. This trip had been to learn and understand that the world was much larger than one might assume. "Willow Valley, actually," Yuri's ears pricked up. So she was a Willow Valley wolf! How ironic... Shyam grinned at the irony as well. This had to be a sign from the spirits. Alice seemed to acknowledge it as well as she was planning on heading home. "I mean, you could lead, if you wanted to." Yuri flushed. "M-me? Um..." He didn't get a chance to answer when a howl rang out and he stared in shock as he recognized the howl of his alphess Alesandra and it called for the Willow Valley wolves to gather for war. He turned to the others. "That's the alphess of Willow Valley. We must be going to war with Fireclan...their the only one's that have caused any trouble. They killed one of our wolves...Namchuri? We'd better go." He glanced apologetically at Alice and Regeane and then turned to Shyam. "Good Luck." Shyam nodded. "You as well." In a dark flash Yuri had disappeared into the forest. Shyam turned to the others. "Well, Alice, it seems you're needed at home. Regeane, do you wish to follow Alice or shall I escort you elsewhere?" |

Posted: Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:54 pm by Em Alice Demitrius Alice breathed in deeply of the crisp, warm summer air. She felt the breeze pick up steadily, the wind ruffling her white and crimson coat. A few leaves were lifted off of the ground and swirled around nearby, and Alice watched it with interest. She wasn't quite sure if she was ready to go home yet, or even if she wanted to go back at all. Willow Valley wasn't somewhere she wanted to be right now, but she felt obligated to return. She could feel a turmoil within the earth, even as she sat in the Tall Fortress. Technically, Alice wasn't too far from her homelands, and she could almost still smell the faint scents of her family. She found it somewhat strange that her aunt's scent had faded, though. Alice's brow furrowed slightly, but she forced herself to push the thought away. Emerald eyes returned to Yuri and Shyam as she waited for a response from them, then she allowed herself to look at the pretty, older fae. Regeane was her name. Alice looked at her and wondered if she would be coming to Willow Valley or not. The Valley could always use more members... Yuri's voice broke the silence, and Alice's eyes returned to his. He studdered and she watched him curiously, head tilted slightly to one side, chin raised. She opened her mouth to speak, but a familiar song rang in her ears. Alice's ears perked up, and her mouth remained slightly agape. She barely heard Yuri's words. The only one that registered was a single name: Namchuri. Alice looked off into the distance, toward Willow Valley, tears clouding her vision. She looked back at Yuri and Shyam, not even bothering to wipe her face clean of tears. "My father..." she whispered, more to herself than anyone else. She looked at Yuri. She wanted to shake him and tell him that Namchuri wasn't just some wolf. That he had been her father. His blood ran through her veins. Alice looked down at her crimson paws, breathing heavily. She was surprised at how she was reacting. Her anger toward her father had not ebbed away, but it seemed that neither had her love for him. By now, Yuri had vanished. Alice was still sitting down, staring at the ground will tears sliding from her emerald eyes. She said nothing, and didn't move. Then, she looked up at Shyam and Regeane. "I should go... home..." she said softly, looking lost - like she couldn't even remember where she was or who she was anymore. Alice stood up slowly and walked away from Shyam and Regeane, saying nothing to them. No goodbyes. Only silence. Like a ghost, she disappeared into the thick forest, not even bothering to wait up for those who may follow. [OOC: Alice leaves.] |
