Kossandra Kravir
Alessandra Hailen
Tiffany Demitrius
Kuronue Morhae

--

"WindClan wolves, meet me at the Tall Fortress if you wish for your appretices back!"

Gentle steps, very graceful and smooth, led her toward her destination; behind her was Kuronue with the apprentices between them, the two girls were being traded for information on the death of Memoir. If anyone knew anything, now would be the time to tell it; of course, Kossandra herself had made a vow to those beautiful little girls. The silver femme was to uphold her end of her promise, but she needed them for just a bit longer; who had sent the wolves that killed Memoir? Why were they after her? Or was it indeed Tahari that had been the target? So many questions, so few answers; Kossandra sat down near a large rock and Kuronue made sure he was braced and ready to catch the girls if he had to. Kossandra was unsure if Ichor had followed, or if she would be alone on this matter; her jade and opal eyes glittered softly, Ichor....was he going to be okay? Her eyes lifted to the clear sky, a sense of fear rose in her belly; what if the WindClanners had indeed been responsible, would they bring the pack and kill her and Kuronue? Kossandra shook her head gently, earning a raise of the brow from her tan friend; dismissing it with a short 'nothing' she returned to her thouhts, and dismissed her fears. WindClan didn't seem to want any trouble, so why would they start it. This whole time Kiri had made thigns seem like Teal was on her own, now that Teal was missing...was WindClan just as clueless as they were?

What was really needed was for another counsul of Alphas, any information between the packs had to be given now; any grudges dismissed, and any captives returned, starting with these two. The silver femme wondered how the other Alphas would react to being summoned though, since Serito had just blinded Mari and stolden her pup; things were all becoming a mess, and slowly the silver femme drew her eyes back upward. "Kuronue, go inform the Alphas of the other clans that we are here; it is time for them to unite, but if Ichor doesn't come then let him be." The order came sharp, from the Emissary herself. Things would be settled, and Kuronue gave her a small glance before nodding. As he departed, Kossandra looked down at the girls. "I wish this had never happened to you, I myself apologize for any harm or fear that might have come to you. I promised you would be unharmed, and I intend to keep that promise; you will go home tonight, reunite with your loved ones." Kossandra swore, her eyes soft.

Stormy eyes sharpened as the call was raised, and the large femme began moving toward the sound; having been travelling to ShadowClan, she turned sharply to head toward the Tall Fortress. Having seen the devastated look on Arson's face when he found out the news, and Toric was desperate to get them back. It was all understandable, these were loved ones and family of the wolves that sat back waiting for their safe return; the Demitrius simply closed her eyes, praying to all that was good that Evermind and Chaska were okay. This was it, the time the two opposing parties were waiting for; steadily the two came nearer, and with gentle steps they met face to face. Tiffany Demitrius bared her fangs at the ShadowClanner the minute she saw her, and Kossandra merely raised a brow before bowing. Seeing the two girls, Tiffany spoke softly. "Are you two unharmed?" Her gaze lifted to Kossandra, and the powerful female narrowed her eyes. "Your alphas promised no more activity on our lands." Kossandra simply sighed. "That was before alphess Memoir was killed, and there was the scent of WindClan in the area." Tiffany's brows raised, Memoir was dead? The femme shook her head. "I can promise you it was certainly not us, there are so few of us left we pretty much can name off the members with our claws." The clans were falling on hard times then, and Kossandra's head turned as she heard pawsteps.

The caramel fae had excused herself from the others when the male arrived, it seemed there was indeed trouble within the packlands. Right now Sarojinn and Lilly were in charge for her, since Nashkeen had gone on a journey of his own somewhere; if Serito showed his face, oh you could bet she was going to demand the whereabouts of Jackson. Things were getting out of hand, so her steps led her to the Tall Fortress. So far she was one of the first five there, her dark green eyes practically glowed with anger. "Your wolf called us here for an optional meeting, Alessandra Hailen of Willow Valley." She bowed, and the silver femme gave a nod. "The clans are in disarray, Alphess Memoir was killed and there seem to be pupnappings left and right." Ah, so that was it. Alessandra nodded and took a seat, things were certianly getting very out of paw.

-=Toric Boreal=- "Though you may not hear me singing, I find that I am always singing for you..."

Long, ebony legs devoured the earth stride after stride, the drumming of his paws against the earth the only rhythm throbbing through Toric's skull. The wind cleaved through his coat--a myriad of ebony and silver sparking and dimming with each thrusting length of his stride. He did not often set foot outside of Wind Clan...but this was a summons he could not ignore. It was an opportunity to unravel the misunderstandings between clans, to get Chaska and Evermind home again...He'd taken on the responsibility for Wind Clan in Teal's absence, and by Star Clan above, he was going to do right by them!

Toric's stride was reigned in as he drew nearer to the heralded meeting grounds. Absently, he registered Foxglove traveling close in his wake...they'd run swiftly from their meeting on the bluff's of Wind Clan to report their knowledge regarding the origin of Memoir's death. His head lowered, his pale azure depths combing the territory ahead as he drank in the scents of those gathered...Yes, Chaska and Evermind were there. So were many others...Tiffany among them. Toric's hopes lifted at the presence of another Wind Clan wolf. She had done well to come...but where was Yager? His information could have been very useful in this dire circumstance. Toric's dark plume of a tail thrashed once. Nothing is ever simple...

Toric stepped into the clearing. He was not a small wolf, by any standards, and his bearing was as regal and as confident as any alpha's. However, despite all his self-assurance and imperial stature, Toric measured his step and adjusted his gaze to appear nothing more than collected. The last thing one would ever expect to roll off of him was haughty conceit. The source of Toric's pride and honor rested in his family, his pack, his friends...And currently they were foremost on his mind. Toric dipped his dark skull in greeting to those gathered, his cerulean gaze connecting first with Tiffany, and then to the fae she was addressing. The new Shadow Clan Alphess, perhaps?

"I am Toric Boreal, Alpha of Wind Clan, standing in Teal's stead..." he paused, his eyes softening as they ran over Chaska and Evermind. He was much relieved to see them in one piece...though he had doubted much in the beginning that Shadow Clan had any reason to harm them. "I have heard the grave news of your Queen, Memoir," here, he ducked his head respectfully, pale depths traveling back to the Shadow Clan fae, "and I offer my deepest regret and sympathy. Her death came as a surprise to us, quite soon after the sudden disappearance of our apprentices." Toric took a moment to toss a glance in Tiffany's direction. "When we learned of the pup's disappearance, I called a meeting with the intention of dispersing a group to see about their return...During this meeting, it was brought to my attention that a wolf named Balthazaar had killed Juuka, our Katar, and his young son Lupine," Toric's frigid gazed locked pointedly on the Shadow Clan fae, intending to point out that both of their clans had suffered from the actions of this blood-thirsty brute, "from what I have heard, this Balthazar is one of the wolves responsible for Memoir's death." A heavy sigh split Toric's maw, and his haunches sank to the ground, dark tail curling over his forepaws. The orphaned Prosper was still very much a heavy weight on his mind. The boy never deserved to lose his family in one fell swoop like that..."It was reported to me at the time, that this wolf was a River Clan wolf...but as I learned from Foxglove, he was not considered one of theirs. She may have more information on that matter..." ..he trailed off. Indeed, Toric was aware of Foxglove's opinion on Balthazaar...but he felt it was better set in her paws the origin of his River Clan ties.

June, Summer 18

Prosper Citharius - "Tell me not, in mournful numbers, life is but an empty dream" –Longfellow
Evermind Arbiter – “I’m not so much/ Unlike other folks as your standing there/ Apart would make me out” –Robert Frost

A gray shadow trailed after Tiffany on quiet paws. He knew he was supposed to go with her to get his sister and Evermind back. They had come to Tall Fortress from Shadow Clan because they'd found that the faes were no longer in the Clan. Prosper's head was bowed with grief and worry as he tracked along. He was no longer the carefree pup he had been. The pride and confidence that had defined him was gone from the lift of his tail and the arch of his spine. His face looked older, gaunt and hollow in the cheeks, and his blue-green eyes were sad and void of sparkle.

Evermind followed Kossandra willingly. Her senses would tell her if any harm was intended, and Kossandra's emotions held nothing but kindness. None of the Shadow Clanners hated her. Evermind wasn't unhappy. She had learned that her captors were much like her, and this was all just a big mistake. She moved with delicate grace into Tall Fortress. She lay down on the ground. Escape didn't enter her mind. Everything would be alright. Instead, she concentrated on separating individual patterns from the great web of emotions. She found she could focus in on one creature in a large group as she had with Ichor. She was getting better at it.

Prosper smelled two familiar scents. His head and tail lifted. A spark kindled in his eyes. For an instant, he was his old self again. He barked excitedly. "Chaska! Evermind!"

"Prosper!" The rush of relief and joy surprised Evermind. She hadn't thought she felt that strongly about the gray yearling that bounded toward her. She was so happy to see him she almost didn't notice Toric who came shortly after. Evermind jumped up to meet him. Prosper didn't stop to think about the consequences of charging the Shadow Clanners who were guarding the two faes. He ran to them without fear. He tried to tackle Chaska, licking at her all over. When he reached them, Evermind licked his ears, whining for happiness. Goodness, what had come over her?

Foxglove Argent – “If we shadows have offended/Think but this, and all is mended” –A Midsummer Night's Dream

Foxglove followed Toric, her long, fluid lope eating up the ground. She paused outside of the meeting. Her green eyes glittered out of the shadows of the trees as she took in the scene. She sniffed and searched for any sign of hidden warriors, to make sure Shadow Clan was really keeping the truce. She saw two faes with the bearing of alphesses. There were a few Wind Clanners, and the guards of two faes she assumed assumed were the kidnapped girls. Foxglove was surprised Ichor wasn't there. She had been fully prepared to deal with him a second time. Was he off playing some other trick? Foxglove couldn't imagine that the brother who had used and betrayed her in her puppyhood could really be that torn up about Memoir's death. It shocked her to think of him sick with grief. He'd never showed that side to her, certainly.

Foxglove followed Toric into the clearing. She bowed to the two other alphesses. She included Alessandra in it, but Willow Valley didn't interest her at the moment. Her eyes were on the silver femme. She smelled of Shadow Clan, but she couldn't be the alphess. Unless Ichor had moved really fast, in which case he couldn't be too overcome with grief. She said, "I'm Foxglove Argent, Queen of River Clan. If you will tell me who you are...

"I'm sorry about Memoir. I wouldn't have wished her dead. I'm here to tell you River Clan had nothing to do with it. Balthazaar, the wolf who killed Jukka and his son and helped kill Memoir, was in River Clan for a while wooing a River Clan femme. He picked up River Clan's scent before he and the other brute went to kill Memoir. I don't know what their motives were. But both of them and the fae Balthazaar mated with are dead. I have a witness to that."
Foxglove motioned to Diedre. She added diplomatically, "It's clear that all of us have suffered because of these strange assassins. They caused deaths in all three of our Clans. If you find they have connections elsewhere, I'll help you hunt them down. But since they're also dead, I'm willing to call the thing finished."

She looked at Evermind and Chaska. "Now, as Wind Clan's ally, I want to help get their apprentices back in any way possible. What is it you want in exchange for them? River Clan will back it too, if there's anything I can do." That was her repayment to Toric for taking Digitalis off her paws. She figured she owed him a favor in kind, in return for his silence. She waited to hear what the silver femme who seemed like an alpha would say.

(Finished.)

Chaska Citharius

Chaska had followed Kossandra, per her request and she considered making a run for it several times but she wasn't sure how to pass the note to Evermind. Besides, Chaska didn't want to get the other fae killed if she chose to run. There'd been enough death. Instead she carried herself with her head held high. She refused to be a quivering victim.

The arrived at the meeting place and soon wolves began to show. She felt a spark of hope. They'd get everything worked out and all would be well.

Chaska suddenly whirled around when she heard Prosper. She started to run towards him then stopped as Evermind arrived first. Were they...suddenly Prosper pounced on her and she laughed and licked his face before burying her muzzle in his fur. They were the last of their family and while they'd always had a strong connection it felt even stronger now. "Oh! I'm so glad you're here!"

Avalon Wyrzyk- Even worse than a tiger with three mouths is a person with a touble dealing heart.

Tall Fortress was usually a rather quiet place, void of much activity. The spread out expanse of trees was a good place to go if you wanted silence, all that ever really happened was the occasional birth, and every now and then, what was it? Once a year she had heard, the Alphas would gather for a nice little meeting. Avalon Wyrzyk was foggy on the specifics, not really caring at all about the matter. When she heard the voices of wolves introducing themselves as just that--Alphas--her mind changed. Maybe it would be worth enough to drop by and see what was happening.

Slinking through the trees with all the grace and stealth of a panthress, Avalon settled herself downwind from the group, hidden beneath the brush of a bush. It would take quite a lot to find her there, her scent would be unnoticeable, and she was well hidden, despite her admittedly flamboyant markings.

Scanning the crowd, pinwheel eyes of an acrid, lime coloring narrowed with mirth. Well well! A familiar face, the weed she had played a quiat little tracking game with so long ago. It appeared that she had sprouted into quite the flower, the Queen of RiverClan; an Alphess. How impressive. Avalon couldn't beat back the smirk, taking a chance and shifting, so she would be blatantly visible. She was rather intrigued at the idea of what may happen. What would they think of a stranger eavesdropping on their special little meeting? Dead Alphas, kidnapped puppies, and the like, it was all so interesting!

Kossandra Kravir | ShadowClan
Alessandra Hailen | Willow Valley
Tiffany Demitrius | WindClan
Deidre Alaric | RiverClan
-

Jade and opal eyes focused on the gray male as he approached the two girls without so much as a glance at her, ah well; Kossandra would uphold her word to the females, today they were going home. The Alphess of Willow Valley watched the others arrive, holding her eyes strong she made sure to sit with pride; they didn't really pay her any mind, which was quite alright for now. Kossandra's eyes focused on Toric, so WindClan too had paid for this travesty; it was a shame, and Kossandra's ears flattened sadly. Then Foxglove spoke, Kossandra's tail curled in front of her legs. "Kossandra Kravir, I am the Emissary of ShadowClan. Alpha Ichor is still struck with grief for the loss of his mate, thus I am not sure he is in the right mental state for any negotiation. That, and two of his pups have gone missing." She wasn't really thinking these two to be the pupnapping type, of course anyone could be wrong. Kossandra's gaze flickered between the two, if RiverClan and WindClan were allies that meant there was a slight risk since there were more of them than of her.

"So the murderers had no relations to either clan...Alessandra, has anything happened in the Valley?" Alessandra's green eyes glittered darkly. "FireClan is our only problem at the moment, one wolf of theirs came and killed a former Valley wolf on our soil and the son of that murdered wolf went after the killer." Kossandra sighed. "So we're all having problems with them then, it's a shame. Serito was formerly a ShadowClan wolf, of the same lineage as Memoir herself; but he had no respect nor did he follow normal customs, thus Memoir put him in charge of the old ThunderClan lands. He's blinded out healer and stolen one of her pups." Kossandra explained, it seemed they all had a common enemy.

Deidre listened with sharp focus on the silver fae, her eyes closed to Evermind and Chaska briefly before she looked back at the jade and opal eyes. A sincerity that surprised Deidre shone in those eyes. "Evermind, Chaska; go, return home." Kossandra nudged the girls toward where Toric and Foxglove sat, and Tiffany stepped foreword to place her bulky form between the silver fae and the girls. Kossandra said nothing, she merely waited. Now came the verbal thrashing as to why the events took place, that or they discussed how to kill Serito.

Foxglove Argent – “If we shadows have offended/Think but this, and all is mended” –A Midsummer Night's Dream
Prosper Citharius - "Tell me not, in mournful numbers, life is but an empty dream" –Longfellow
Evermind Arbiter – “I’m not so much/ Unlike other folks as your standing there/ Apart would make me out” –Robert Frost

“Chaska…” Prosper rubbed his chin over the back of his sister’s neck, his eyes closed. He was as happy as he’d been sad a moment ago. He was never, ever going to let her go anywhere without him ever again. Evermind rubbed her body against his shoulder in greeting. She’d never felt this feeling before—not out of her own heart, anyway. Prosper turned his head to beam at Evermind too.

He looked up sharply at Kossandra’s words. He stared at her, searching for any sign of a trick in her eyes. But she meant it; Chaska and Evermind were free. Prosper gulped. He stepped forward, and bowed to the Shadow Clan femme. Even though he was from Wind Clan, he knew he could never be Shadow Clan’s enemy now. “Thank you, ma’am. I owe you a great debt, if you ever need anything.” He turned, with a joyous glance at the two faes, to lead them back to Toric.

Foxglove’s eyebrows rose. Shadow Clan let the faes go, just like that? Then why in the world had they kidnapped them in the first place? Maybe whatever the reason had been, it was irrelevant now. It sounded as though Ichor no longer had the will to fight—and that news shocked her to her core. He really was overcome by grief. He really had loved the fae, and the fae bore some similarities to Foxglove herself, such as her age. It was incredible. Maybe it was just a trick, but Foxglove couldn’t think of any other reason… She scanned the trees around the clearing again, worried that she had missed the signs of an ambush or some other trap.

A pair of green eyes met hers. Only one pair, but they surprised her enough. Foxglove recoiled slightly. It was Avalon, the femme she’d met on the beach more than a year ago, when she’d first come to Caelum. The fae had disappeared in the middle of their little tracking game, and had never come to the Mafia meeting Foxglove had recruited her for—which had turned out to be pretty smart, in hindsight. Foxglove stared at Avalon in amazement for a moment. Then she looked back to the other alphas. Her lips twitched. She wouldn’t reveal her if Avalon didn’t want to be seen. She would talk to her later. They could finish their tracking game.

The alphesses were talking about Fire Clan. Foxglove pricked her ears. “Actually, River Clan has a bone to pick with Serito too. One of their wolves found a River Clan femme who gave birth in Lone Terra—the femme who mated with Balthazaar. She didn’t want us to know, I suppose, so she birthed in the loner lands. A fae from Fire Clan found her, killed her, and stole her two pups. There seems to be a lot of that going on,” she added, wondering where the second pup Ichor was missing had gone. Jester had only taken one, so far as she knew. But where Ichor’s pups were concerned, Foxglove would pretend she knew nothing about it.

Avalon

Avalon couldn't help the smirk that cake over her face as her eyes met Foxglove's. She gave a nod to the Queen, slipping completely out of her bush covering, though she made no move to get any closer. Instead she sat down, curling her tail over her paws and focusing her startling eyes on the wolves at the meeting. There were quite a few of them, with such varying degrees of emotion. Some seemed surprised, sad, happy, others were simply serious.

There was talk of more kidnapped pups, secret matings, more death, and a strange clan she'd never heard of. 'Oh such delicious drama! Get on with it!' she wanted to say, but held back her tongue for once in her life, though there was a subtle twitch of her lips, the only outward indication of her amusement on her otherwise stoic face. Really though, so a few people were dead and a few pups were taken. That had already been established. Get to the good stuff, like who was going to die, when and where. They had a bone to pick with FireClan? Go pick it. Avalon hadn't come across a good story like this in a while--quite frankly, she wanted to watch!

Licking her lips, she leaned back and shook a bit of fur out of her eyes. Hm, she was getting a bit shaggy, but she supposed that's what sneaking around in the brush would give you. She discarded the thought, however, her eyes dancing back and forth between the members of the meeting, wondering if she would be noticed, yet not really caring. All she was really interested in is seeing where this whole fiasco was going to go, and perhaps have a little chat with Foxglove. Maybe she would even lend a paw to the Queen, if she needed it. Avalon was in no way above a little death.

-=Toric Boreal=- "Though you may not hear me singing, I find that I am always singing for you..."

Toric allowed a grin to fall softly over his maw as Prosper led Chaska and Evermind his way...he was immensely relieved that their adventures had earned them nothing more than a bit of apprehension and perhaps some new acquaintances. He ducked his dark skull in greeting to the pair of faes, murmuring..."I'm glad to see you both alright," his pale eyes flitted to Prosper, pride and approval in their depths..."Would you see them safely back to Wind Clan, Prosper? I believe they have been sorely missed..."

He returned his attention to Kossandra. It seemed that more than one Clan had a score to settle with the members of Fire Clan...the arrival of such a immoral group had clearly wrought pain in the lives of many in so short of time. Clearly, it was something that could be tolerated no longer... "You have our support...should you go after this Fire Clan. I cannot risk many, but I may be able to send a few to your aid should you wish it. We have good healers, as well...should you need their assistance."

Kossandra Kravir
Alessandra Hailen
Tiffany Demitrius
Deidre Alaric
-

Watching the two girls return made Kossandra's heart swell with joy, their families would be so happy to have them back; her eyes drifted to Prosper and then to the other alphas, and she bowed her head. "I apologize for this action all together, I do not know what the goal was....but I think matters have changed. As for FireClan, my daughter Soleil and a group of assassins have gone to exterminate Serito; though, the state of the clan itself, I am unsure of." Kossandra explained, then she looked at the others. "I cannot offer you anything but my word on this promise, this time ShadowClan will not disturb your clans with any mischief or tomfoolery." Kossandra would see to it she upheld the alliances, her jade depths looked to Foxglove. "Lady Foxglove, and Lord Toric; I, Kossandra Kravir, wish to offer your clans safe passage in and around out borders. I will inform our clans that your wolves will only be loosely questioned and not terrorized." Her glance went to the Willow Valley alphess, for Alessandra had an unreadable expression in her forest depths.

"I've heard that FireClan was once old ThunderClan, can we not restore it? Decimate the clan and send a messenger to the wolves of ThunderClan that their lands are open again?" Kossandra sighed. "A good idea, but a tricky one. All three clans had banned together against a threat known as the Kalardor, and we three clans were the ones that took ThunderClan from their home; they will be untrusting, and any messenger might find themselves at the teeth of Oriellena Cavallet herself. That femme, though aging, is powerful; she is a descendant of two gods, and she could easily slaughter any wolf we send. The reason they have yet to try and take the lands back, is more than likely the belief that we will raid them again and offer them no peaceful surrender this time." Kossandra explained to the Alphess, and Alessandra have a low sigh.

"I'll go to FireClan, in the name of WindClan; I'll find your daughter and her pack members and explain to them the peace between us three" Tiffany spoke, and Kossandra glanced at the larger femme with an appreciative nod; turning her gaze to Deidre as the girl grinned. "Shall my mother and I go in the name of RiverClan, my Queen?" Deidre had been looking for a fight, and it seemed this was going to happen. Kossandra liked the eagerness on the face of the young girl, and nodded. "Lord Toric, Lady Foxglove; if you need the assistance of ShadowClan, we will answer your calls." Kossandra vowed, ad Tiffany knew she'd like this Alphess; Kossandra didn't look dumb, she seemed to be a femme who valued her word. Alessandra nodded.

"Willow Valley will also lend our aid to your clans if you need assistance, do not hesitate to request our help." Willow Valley would be great, Alessandra would so to it that the days of greatness would rise again like when Blaze had been in control; her dark green eyes glittered as she looked at them, maybe a betrothal would make Vann realize he needed to grow up. Would any other clan offer as well?
