Posted: Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:29 pm by Nocturne Devin Lorelei - At her arrival, things became tense; Devin took a step back and lowered her stance, her tail tucking as she showed submission. The blizzard coated fae meant no harm, none at all; her eyes looked up into the depths of the winged male, and she whined softly. "I give my eternal word that I mean no harm to either one of you." All she really had left was her word, and she had no desire to lose that too. Her mixed colored eyes gleamed a curious amethyst, and she slowly raised; her stance remained slightly lower, to show him that she was not intending to harm them. "I used to live in ShadowClan with my sister, but she's....gone, so I just had to get away. I was wondering, what condition is Caelum in?" The girl knew neither one would know her, especially the fae; the male wasn't a familiar face to her, so she simply decided to let them trust as they would. Her small rounded face turned as they spoke, the wings were certainly not an impediment; and the fae said it was her...name? Having never seen the royalty of Willow Valley, Devin didn't know if Alice was related or not. If she was, then why was her name an impediment. Devi decided not to think on the subject, she would wait to see if they were alright with her or not; if not, she would give them their space. |

Posted: Fri Aug 07, 2009 7:17 pm by Feral -=Kiahi Stygian=- "Differences challenge assumptions..." Kiahi notched a patterned brow in Devin's direction. "Caelum is...well, rather a mess, I'm afraid. We're in the midst of quite a large misunderstanding between clans..." Kiahi trailed off into a moment of pensive silence, his ember-like eyes glancing between the two faes. "Or, so I hear." He rolled his shoulders absently, his wings readjusting along his sides...He was still not quite comfortable with revealing his position in Shadow Clan. With all the hubbub after the death of Memoir, he had no way of knowing the true inclinations behind any of the strangers he encountered...Though a vast part of him doubted either fae posed a significant threat. His eyes studied Alice thoughtfully, enveloping her in their silent scrutiny. Her name was an impediment? Well, he saw nothing untoward about the name 'Alice'...and due to his origins lying somewhere far north, he had not a single inkling of her family history. His carmine ears pivoted back, and he rose to his feet... "I hope you find what it is you're looking for," he spoke softly, for Alice's ears alone, sparing her one last, parting glance. For why else would she be out here, on her own, if she were not searching for something? His muzzle twitched in a grin, and her sauntered away, several white plumes trailing in his wake. Sometimes...he just liked to walk. |

Posted: Sat Aug 08, 2009 12:13 am by Em Alice Demitrius Alice watched the female who had not yet spoken her name. But then again, only Kiahi knew of Alice's name in this little gathering. The female lowered her stance slightly when she saw Kiahi become tense, which somewhat surprised Alice. The fae seemed like a force to be reckoned with, for reasons unknown to Alice. She wasn't sure why this fae seemed so formitable, but she definitely did. Alice took a few steps back from Kiahi and regarded the female with wary - but curious - emerald eyes. The nameless fae seemed quite concerned with how Alice and Kiahi viewed her. She obviously didn't want to come off as a threat, which was reasonable in Alice's opinion. The Tall Fortress was not one of the protected lone territories in Caelum - meaning wolves could be attacked at any given moment if they were not prepared. To Kiahi and Alice, this fae could be a threat, though her words said that she meant no harm to either of them. Alice's emerald eyes flitted to Kiahi for a few seconds and then settled on the nameless fae again as she shifted slightly on her small, crimson paws. There was a mystery surrounding this fae. Alice could almost feel it. The young crimson and ivory fae almost spoke up at the nameless female's statement about not meaning to cause either she nor Kiahi harm, but decided to keep her mouth shut. Kiahi could handle it if he thought need be. Alice's green eyes remained on the female with the multi-colored eyes, waiting as she slowly stood while remaining submissive. Because Alice had never really enjoyed the feeling of being a Princess while her parents were still in power, she never really understood what it was like to be bowed down to. The sight of another, stronger, older female submitting to she and Kiahi made Alice slightly nervous - she wasn't used to such submission. Alice shifted on her paws again, then looked up as the older female began to speak. At the mention of ShadowClan, Alice immediately tensed. It was an almost natural response. With her father's death still fresh in her mind, Alice quickly became uneasy with the presence of this strange, ex-ShadowClanner. With green eyes narrowed, Alice regarded the fae with a new amount of wariness that had not been there earlier. She gave Kiahi a sidelong glance, but did not dare take her eyes off the fae now that she knew she was from ShadowClan - or, had been, anyway. This nameless fae wanted to know what condition Caelum was in. And, quite honestly, Alice was mostly unaware of what was happening between the members of the Clans. Even Willow Valley politics were currently a mystery to her. With all that had happened with the birth of her cousins and the death of her parents, Caelum and its events had fallen by the wayside. Alice now looked to Kiahi, wondering - and hoping - that he knew more about what was going on than she did. Thankfully, Kiahi did know a little bit about Caelum. He said it was a mess, and Alice didn't doubt that. She nodded in silent agreement, her green eyes drifting down to her paws once more. No longer did she view the fae as a significant threat, and allowed her eyes to fall elsewhere. A small sigh exited her maw and she looked up as she heard the sound of Kiahi's wings rustling. He spoke to her - and only to her - that he hoped she would find what she was looking for. Alice looked up at him - though they were quite nearly the same height when she wasn't hunched over - and let her eyes burn into hers so that he might remember her if he ever saw her again. "As do I, Kiahi," she said softly, then turned away as he himself turned to go. As he walked away, Alice turned her eyes up to the fae. She wore a sad, weary expression, appearing much older than she actually was, if only for a few seconds. "My father was murdered by a ShadowClan wolf," she said quietly, then looked away. She didn't blame this fae for what had happened to her father. She blamed no one but her father himself. With those words having been said, Alice turned to leave with one last parting glance to the fae, nodding to her with respect without saying anything more. [OOC: Alice leaves. ] |
