Posted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:08 pm by -Alcyone- ~Sen Sakeri~ “The truth is in a thousand unspoken words.” ~Namchuri Demitrius~ “A man who lives without love is a man who was never really alive in the first place.” I never thought that any of this would happen to me. From the time of my birth I had been trained to fight, to kill, to be fierce. Now look at me. I am a weak coward who’d rather run then face down her problems. I’m a shamed wolfess. But what can I say? Is it my fault my brother sent wolves after me when I was younger? Wolves much older, and larger, than I was? It wasn’t fair… and things weren’t good. I knew that they weren’t good. They were still after me - now and then I’d see them, hear them, smell them. I was afraid, very afraid of what they’d do if they caught up to me. I’d probably have more than just the scars I do now. I may even lose my life. Serito… is he even still commanding them? I can not be sure. I can’t take the time, nor the risk to find out. My paws lead me onward, despite my weariness and dizziness. It came to the point where I could walk no longer, and I fell, laying beneath the pines. My breathing was hard. I had been traveling since dawn, and it was past dusk now by at least a couple of hours. My body can’t take this traveling… it is too much. I can’t keep running forever. My eyes close, and I consider what my options are… before darkness claims me. Namchuri came upon the femme some short time later, curious as to why she had collapsed upon the snow. It was still dead cold out-- winter still had Caelum in it’s grip. The brute padded closer to the black and gray femme, nudging her gently. As she stirred Namchuri took a step back, surprised when he saw the terrified look in her eyes. I was so tired I didn’t even realize that I had fallen asleep. But as I awoke to a cold nose prodding me all time seemed to stop. My reddish-purple orbs opened, their gaze falling upon a brute a bit older than myself, white and dark blue, with baby blue eyes. He was smaller than me, and didn’t seem too threatening… but I was scared all the same. “What do you want?” I want to urge my body up, run from this male who frowned down at me. But I realized the look upon his face was not one of disdain. It was one of pity. My heart slowed as he spoke. “My name is Namchuri Demitrius. I’d like to help, if you’re okay with that. You need to get out of this wind and the snow before you catch a chill.” His words were soft, non threatening. He waited for the she wolf to nod and then helped her up. As she leaned against him, walking at a slow, yet steady, pace, Nam spoke again. “You’re heart is still racing… I assure you that I mean no harm. I only want to make sure you are safe.” I didn’t understand. Why would he want to help me? Why would he want to make sure I was safe. “Oh, okay. I’m… sorry. My name is Sen Sakeri.” Sen Sakeri? That was why she looked and smelled familiar… sort of. She was Serito’s sister! “Sen? That’s a beautiful name. You have a brother right? A twin? Serito?” The femme stopped dead in her tracks. “Yes, I do. He’s here?” Serito… Was he really hunting me with the goons? Tears began to form in my eyes and the white and blue brute began to wipe them away. “Shhh… don’t cry, it’ll be alright. Yes, he is here. He’s part of my Clan. None of us really care for him. Hey, relax. Come on, lets continue -- there’s a cave not far from here.” ((Inside the cave)) I was laying against him, drawing both comfort and heat. I was so scared- I had explained what had happened with Serito and his goons when I was younger, and Namchuri spoke words so kind it made my heart want to break. He was a gentlemen, a kind gentlemen. He said that I should go to ShadowClan, and that he’d protect me from Serito. I didn’t deserve his help. My head was on my paws when he spoke, his words still soft. “Sleep for now Sen. We’ll talk more in the morning. I’ll watch out for you, I promise.” Nam wasn’t sure why he felt so… happy around the femme. He wanted to protect her. Help her. She was a beautiful fae… could he be falling into the same kind of love he had when he met Aeon? Gods… don’t let this end in heartbreak if that was the case. |

Posted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:23 pm by -Alcyone- ((The next morning)) The sun had been up for several hours when I opened my eyes. I blinked twice, yawned, and stood, stretching. I felt better after a night of sleep. My mind traveled to the events of yesterday and I looked around. Namchuri was gone. My ears drooped with disappointment - he was the first wolf I had let come close to me in a long time. I felt… different around him. Sort of. Not as panicky anyway. I jumped at a sound. It was the goons, they had found me! But no, it was Namchuri, returning to the cave with a rabbit in his jaws. He placed it on the ground in front of me, a smile on his maw. “Eat, you will need your strength.” That she would. If she had wolves chasing after her then she’d need all the strength she could get. “Namchuri… thank you. Uh… well, you killed it so you should get some too you know.” I smiled a small and smile, and he smiled back. There was a connection between us, whether or not he felt I wasn’t sure. No, he must have felt it. We ate our fill and then laid next to each other again, looking out into the dark forest. “Is it always this dark, even during the day?” I asked, kind of confused. Namchuri nodded. “Yup, always.” She seemed so naïve and innocent. It was cute actually, to see her react to things the way she did. The male nuzzled her neck, and then pulled back as Sen looked at him. Nam hadn’t even realized what he was doing. I was both surprised and happy. What he had just done… it was a sign of affection. He was growing close to me. Getting attached even though we hadn’t known each other for very long. The gods had planned this, they must have. “Namchuri.” “I’m sorry Sen… I…” He lowered his gaze. Gah, he was so stupid, overstepping boundaries like that! “Its okay Nam.” I kissed him them, a smile on my maw. “I feel the same way about you.” It was like what had happened with Aeon all over again. Namchuri nodded, a mischievous grin on his maw as he kissed her back. “I’m glad.” And I knew from then on I was going to be happy. My life with Namchuri had begun. |

Posted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 4:49 pm by -Alcyone- ((A few days - a week later)) Namchuri had to go-- an urgent meeting in ShadowClan he had said. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he didn’t want me going there till he found out what it was. I was worried, and I waited for him to come back. Every second that went by seemed like hours. How long would he be gone? What was the problem? I began to pace, my reddish-purple eyes wide as I thought of possibilities to what could be happening. I was scared-- what if he didn’t come back? Ah, but then again I was going to have bigger problems. I smelled them… I could hear their laughter. I looked around, panic spreading throughout my body like wildfire. “Go away!” I whispered, taking a step back. The biggest of the goons, a black male with a white blaze, white stockings, and red eyes, padded from behind a tree that was in front of me. I growled low, though it was full of fear and not at all menacing. “Well well, if it isn’t little Sen. C’mon boys, we got a job to finish.” My heart was pounding so hard in my chest it felt as though it was going to break. They weren’t going to get me. I was faster than these bulky guys. As two of the other goons began to come out from the trees on either side I made a dash for it. Their leader snapped at me, his jaws catching nothing but air as I zoomed by. He wasn’t going to get me, no sir. I would run, and hopefully find Namchuri. We couldn’t stand up to them, but I didn’t want to leave Namchuri to die against them. We could run away together. Forever. But maybe ten minutes or so into the chase, when I slowed down, I noticed that their scents were gone. I was panting heavily and I looked around, straining my ears to catch any noise. At the sound of a twig snap I spun around. It was Namchuri though… he couldn’t have had better timing. But… his face looked glum. Oh god. “We’re going to war Sen.” There were tears forming in Namchuri’s eyes as he spoke. He might not see her again. The black and gray femme moved up next to him, rubbing her head against his neck. “It’ll be okay,” I told him. He’d come back. He had to. “I could come with you if you wanted…” Namchuri shook his head. “No Sen. If I do not return within five days I want you to go to ShadowClan, understand? I’m not going to put you at risk. Tell them Namchuri sent you… you should be okay then.” He turned, starting to walk away, but Sen got in front of him, frowning. “Namchuri, please don’t go. Please, I love you.” “I love you too Sen… but I can’t let my pack down.” The tears slide down his cheeks and Sen wiped them away. “Then… I want something to remember you by, if you must go to war. If you never return… Namchuri… I want to have your pups.” Their relationship had moved so fast over this week… But by the look in Sen’s eyes Namchuri could see she meant what she said, and he nodded. “If that is what you want Sen, then you shall receive it.” He padded behind her and mounted, doing his deed. Once finished he bid her goodbye, and padded off. I stared after him and then glanced at the ground. Would our children grow up without a father? |
