Tiffany Demitrius

The area of the Tall Fortress was cloaked in darkness, more of the dawn darkness than anything; for the sun was lazily resting on the horizon, and a lone shape moved calmly. The coat was spastic mixes of grays, blacks, and white; along her back was a very deep slate blue, as was her muzzle; the eyes that were once a light cyan were now a dark stormy teal with lighter flecks, creating a twinkling look like stars in the night sky. A pink tongue lolled from black lips, and the shape stopped to rest on a large rock. "Boy, it sure is hot for the fall season." She breathed out, her breath coming out in pants. Slowly the female rose, looking for a meal; Lilly had given her a chance, and Tiffany wasn't going to die so soon. In her own mind, she knew she had done the only thing she could for Loki; Lilly had lost two important things however, so Tiffany would not curse her sister's reaction.

Tiffany smiled sadly, thinking of all the wolves in the valley. What would some of the others that had left think if they saw the former princess living the life of a loner? Tiffany knew she might run into someone, but th chances were slim. As she looked up at the sky she saw stormy blue pieces of cloud and sky mixed, the colors made her think of Lukka; where was he anyway? She remembered he had gone missing, but no matter how many days Tiffany searched for him he hadn't turned up. "I wonder how he's doing now...I hope he is well." The small male had been very kind, and he was an eager student at the time. Tiffany remembered their first meeting, and she smiled wide. Lukka was so cute, she could only imagine he was a handsome brute now.

"Lukka, may life be treating you well my friend." She whispered, wondering if the gods would ever grant them the chance to see one another once more.

Another day of endless walking. Lukka sighed and closed his eyes momentarily. Hey, maybe he could walk through this place with his eyes closed.. how cool would that be? He'd be like Miss Bat and her family, with their supersonic radars and extreme sense of hearing. He could take a nap while he was travell- BAM!

The tall adolescent staggered as he collided head-on with overhanging branch, with a teeth-chattering force that made his noise sting. The first thing he did however was look around to see that no one was watching. But obviously there were lots who were watching. Birds chirped humorously at him from their nests in the trees. He could hear the chuckle of tiny mice from wherever they were hiding. "Thanks guys.. for telling me" he muttered under his breath. Even though he couldn't technically communicate to animals using words, Lukka found it easier so talk to them by speaking out loud... it just clarified everything. The blue-silver young male wasn't sure when he had developed this strange gift, the ability to telepathetically communicate with other animals, to understand their language and receive that they tried to convey to him. Lukka chatted animals, but only when there were no wolves around. Funny it was often easier to talk to them than members of his own species. Maybe he just wasn't good at handling people.

Lukka blinked his watery eyes once or twice when he reopened them. This place looked rather familiar. In fact, he was almost sure he had been here before. Or had he just been travelling in circles? No he had been here as a child. This was Caelum.

With a revived enthusiasm Lukka picked up pace, long dark-blue legs covering the ground in graceful lopes. It didn't take very long before a familiar scent reached his nares. A scent that made Lukka stop dead in his tracks in fear that he was wrong. No.. could it really be? That his mind wasn't playing tricks on him? Had he just stepped into Caelum and crossed paths with Tiffany? He remembered his ex-mentor, the only one he really got to know before being dragged off again. The one that he well.. sorta had a crush on as a boy. Although she probably didn't think of him as anything but an annoying kid brother. Her scent made his heart beat faster.. until Lukka was sure that even the squirrels could hear it. Lukka trotted toward the scent, in an eager yet nervous pace. It has been ages since he'd last seen her. What if... she didn't even remember him?

"Tiff?" he breathed, as she came into view. He could feel his face getting warm as he neared her slender black-grey silhouette. She was still as beautiful as he remembered. It was strange to discover that he was now taller than her. A year of being a vegetarian had made Lukka lean and lanky. But what would she think of him... what was the question that race through Lukka's mind as he tried to cover from his initial surprise of running into her in the first place.

Tiffany Demitrius

--

The sunrise was well past now, the sun shining bright in the sky; the deep stormy eyes shimmered with lighter flecks, and the deep black and gray coat almost blended with the dark green of the Tall Fortress. The wolf was silent, her hunger rumbling as she sat; it was very warm, and Tiffany knew eventually she had to eat. She looked up, seeing the pale blue sky; it was a beautiful day, warm but not as hot. She could hear birds chirping, and began to wonder what they were saying; just a wish, to know what the other animals were saying. A loud thud echoed nearby, and Tiffany's ears perked. The fae was silent, her heart pumping fast; she scented a familiar smell, and her eyes widened with a bright smile. The male came into sight, silvery blue base with deeper stormy tips; bright sapphire eyes stared back at her, and Tiffany was absolutely surprised. Lukka, he was taller than her now; and the fae was in total shock, her breath taken away. He was so handsome now, not the small pup she remembered from years ago.

"Lukka!" She ignored her hunger and jumped up, her stomach giving a cry of protest as she nuzzled him. The top of her head rubbing under his chin happily, her deep stormy eyes gleaming. "How have you been? I searched for you for weeks." Tiffany explained, her voice soft.

So she did remember him! Lukka grinned with joy as Tiffany jumped up from where she sat. Her eyes shined so brightly, the beautiful teal that he always remembered. As a boy Lukka thought that Tiff was the most beautiful fae he had ever laid eyes on, that had never changed. She was like his guardian angel, so graceful, so caring, so wise. What is right to fall in love with your guardian angel? The young male embraced his old mentor, eagerly yet slightly nervous at the same time. What if she was so close she could hear his heart pounding?

"I've been.. well. What about you?" he laughed, his voice a low baritone. Dark sapphire blue eyes shone as they looked at her. Lukka ducked his head apologetically. He felt bad for making Tiff waste all her time in futile searches for him. Yet, he didn't exactly want to tell her about the kidnapping and have her worry or feel guilty about it. It was in the past, so it better be left there. "I had some family matters to take care of..back home."

Wait, 'home' wasn't his home anymore. Caelum was his home, he wanted to be where Tiffany was. If he was going to start a new life, he wanted her to be in it. Now that Lukka was here beside her, his life seemed to stand still. If he could just see her every day... every moment would be bliss. The blue-grey young male looked into his ex-mentor's eyes, this time his oceanic blue orbs were dead serious. "I'm sorry, I'll never leave you again. That is, if you still want me." His voice sincere. Why did it feel as if his tongue refused to function properly today? And his stomach had this flurry jittery feeling to it.

Tiffany Demitrius

--

Tiffany was so happy he was real, that some fragment of her childhood existed. Sure, at one year when Loki had first taken the Valley that had been considered adults but she still considered the budding of their rule her childhood; Lukka had been her first apprentice, and had managed to pick up a few things. Her stormy teal eyes shimmered as she looked at him, what had happened between her and her family had to be buried in the past. Tiffany knew deep down Loki would have suffered if she tried to help him any other way, and the fae gazed at Lukka. "I've been better, but I can't really complain since my return to Caelum." She responded, looking into his deep sapphire eyes with a bit of wonder. He was tall, lanky...but Tiffany had suspected he would be handsome. Of course, Tiffany herself wasn't small; she was larger than an average female, but still amazingly smaller than the blue mixed brute before her.

As far as the family members went, Tiffany was sure he mentioned being an orphan...but she decided not to dig. Her smile was bright as she again pressed clsoe to him, he no longer smelled of milk and youth. Lukka smelled like a pine forest, like a fresh spring, and a hint of mint essence; he smelled amazing, he was no child any longer. "Lukka, you've grown up so fast." She whispered, not meaning to speak out loud. She remembered the small pup looking up at her with wide eyes, determined to learn what she had to teach. Tiffany's eyes softened, she wasn't looking at him as a child anymore. His words stunned her, compltely caught off guard. He wanted her in his life, and her eyes began to water a little. Lukka was a charmer, a sweetheart, and Tiffany felt her heart pund deep in her chest.

She had felt his heart, pounding like hers now was; and Tiffany managed a nod, her words a slight breath. "Yes, of course I want you Lukka." She responded, her face flushed; Tiffany didn't remember...yes she did, Regenald. The male had been her first crush, but she was the best friend and not the girlfriend; ah well, Tiffany knew that he had made his choice. Now she was making hers, Tiffany wanted Lukka; even if she had to constantly block other females away, the Demitrius female would show Lukka that she loved him. Her stomach rumbled, and the fae felt a bit of embarassment flood through her; she needed to eat something soon.

-=Lukka Kowan=-

Her teal eyes gleamed but there was something different about her stormy orbs what wasn't there moments ago. He was still sure he knew Tiff pretty well. Lukka had always been quick to notice details, and he knew Tiffany's face like the back of his paw. When she was angry, worried, sad, he knew it all. Normally Lukka couldn't read wolves very well, but this was Tiff. She's one of the few wolves he'd ever grown close to, interestingly enough. That made a whole lot of difference. Something was troubling her. Even before, Lukka had been slightly protective of her, from the first day they met he remembered finding her crying over some guy and naively tried to cheer her up. He had just been a little pup then, and understood nothing of what had truly happened. Now there must be dozens of males milling around her, maybe she even had a mate... and a family of her own. Then.. Lukka wondered nervously, where would he fit into the picture?

"Lukka, you've grown up so fast."

Lukka's looked at his ex-mentor compassionately, and smiled. "You've grown.. more beautiful," he said. He felt like he could just watch her all day. Oceanic blue eyes lingered on the soft curve of her neck. Then he shifted his gaze to the horizon, his eyes clouded. He felt torn between a dozen emotions. Was this right or was it just the teenage hormones getting to him? What if Tiffany still thought of him as a kid, her apprentice? That chubby little pup that followed her around foolishly wagging his tail. Lukka pushed the thought out of his mind, had he really done that? Well it didn't matter, that wasn't him anymore. The vegetarian had lost all puppy fat, and was even to some degree muscular. Lukka could defend himself and others but, he wasn't a brute, a solider. If he did get into a fight, it was more due to his hotheadedness than anything. There were times when all wisdom eluded him, something that no amount of meditating would cure. A warrior? No, the young mage was merely big-boned, long legged, with chiseled features that indicated a slightly more noble heritage than he claimed.

"Yes, of course I want you Lukka."

The young male nearly breathed a sigh of relief. Was he dreaming? Tiffany's warm words made him feel as if he were in some kind of dream. Lukka grinned from ear to ear, he bowed extravagantly. "Glad to be of service, ma'am." Then her stomach rumbled. Lukka laughed, "Are you hungry?"

Ooops. One could almost hear the forest around them evacuate. Birds flew into the sky, mice scurried into their nests and squirrels climbed further up their trees, peering at the two wolves with suspicious dark eyes. "I'm sorry.. the animals." Lukka furrowed his brow, trying to find a way to explain. "Sometimes they just know what I'm thinking.. I can sort of communicate to them, and feel what they're feeling." Oceanic eyes glanced up at Tiffany uncertainly, wondering if she'd even believe him.

Tiffany Demitrius ; family isn't about whose blood you have...it's about who you care about

--

One thing Tiffany knew well about Lukka was that he loved seeing people feel better, he was observant, and he knew her well; a dangerou combination for the secret she wanted to keep locked away. Another thing she knew was that Lukka wasn't the chubby little pup she'd met a year and so ago, he was a full grown adult now; and though Tiffany remembered his innocent puppy days, she also knew that Lukka was...different. He was much, much, more mature; and the femme was very proud of him. He wasn't a fighter, she could see it; Lukka had become the perfect scout, energetic and able-bodied; flexible and easy to adapt to his surroundings. If there was one thing about him, he looked almost royal. He was lean and angluar, and as he spoek Tiffany's cheeks reddened more.

"I...i..thank you Lukka. You too have become more handsome." A feminine stutter invaded her speech, nobody had complimented her like that; for the first time, Lukka was seeing her more feminine side of life. The fae smiled and oserved his chiseled featires, he seemed almost...magic. His oceanic eyes glowed with something Tiffany couldn't comprehend, and her own eyes widened a bit in wonder. She wasn't a child, nor was she really a teenager. So why did she feel like an awkward teenager confessing her love again?

Oh so long ago when she'd first met Lukka she had just gotten rejected by Regenald, but now it seemed that she was the child. Tiffany couldn't help but grin as she looked at Lukka, the minute he spoke she nodded. Then he mentioned food, and Tiffany noticed the birds and mice seem to vanish; when Lukka spoke, she blinked in surprise. "You can...communicate with the animals? How do you eat if they are your friends?" She asked, then it hit her. "You stopped eating meat, didn't you?" She asked curiously, her teal eyes glittering with wonder. Lukka wasn't a child, he was morally amazing in every aspect; good hearted, kind, and he even stopped eating meat because he could communicate with the other animals.

Lukka moved closer to her, almost subconsciously. He nodded feeling relief wash through him as she asked him whether or not he stopped eating animals surprised that she assumed that instantly. He had never really told anyone about it before, but Tiffany knew him better than anyone. She understood him, like no one else really did. The young blue-silver mage smiled.

There seemed to be an electrical feeling in the air, a sense of charged energy around them. There was something about damned teenage hormones that made the normally shy young male rather bold. Her fur smelled so nice, of lilies and wildflowers. But she didn't smell like the Valley. How strange. For a long time Lukka didn't say anything, oceanic eyes bored into hers, just watching her. He'd be content to watch Tiffany all day.

Then, he leaned forwards and kissed her. The second their maws touched, it felt as if his whole body was flooded with warmth. Lukka closed his eyes. His mind screamed at him, telling him to stop but he just couldn't resist. How else could she realize how much he loved her? Sure he had idolized her as a pup, but this was different would she be able to see that?

When he pulled away, Lukka looked at the ground. "I'm sorry," he said softly, but really.. was he? No, he wasn't. He wouldn't have taken that moment back for anything.

Tiffany Demitrius ; family isn't about whose blood you have...it's about who you care about

--

Lukka moved closer, his musky scent washing over her; Tiffany felt like the weight on her shoulders was gone, as long as she had Lukka. He nodded to her question, so he was a vegetarian now; she smiled, her stormy eyes shining with something hidden deep inside. The love she felt for Lukka had always been there, the boy had wormed his way into her heart; and now that he wasn't a child anymore, it was bursting from her joyously. She could feel the static, the energy that the two shared; it was a wonderful feeling, she felt tingly and bubbly. They stared into one another's eyes for a long while, his oceanic blue eyes gleaming with emotion; he was easy to read, and she could see the love in his eyes. As he leaned closer Tiffany stiffened, her heart thumping heard in her chest as his lips met hers. There wasn't anything she could-would have done to stop it, it felt good; the world around them vanished, it was just the two of them.

It seemed like an eternity, but it wasn't enough; Tiffany felt an ache in her chest as he pulled away, and bowed his head. The Demitrius shook her head, leaning foreword and taking his lips this time; she made it long and sweet, her stormy eyes closed in bliss. Only when she needed air did she pull away, her eyes staring at his oceanic orbs; her smile was bright, like a million lights. "Don't be. I love you too Lukka." Her voice was an airy whisper, her stormy eyes gleaming with love and compassion. The attentionw was focused only on the brute before her, Lukka was her world; he'd found her when she needed him most, and Tiffany could honestly say she absolutely loved Lukka.

Then, they kissed again. Lukka closed his eyes softly, relishing her touch. He wanted this moment to last forever. "Don't be. I love you too Lukka." He smiled, and nuzzled her gently. They would be together forever, just like this..with nobody else to bother them. It would be living in bliss everyday. Lukka was certain he didn't care about anyone else but Tiff. With her by his side, he would never feel lonely..never want for anything else. He was in love.

Perhaps they could go back to the Willow Valley, if that's what Tiffany wanted. Luka couldn't care less where he was, as long as she was with him. The young mage smiled, his handsome oceanic orbs gleaming. "Where to now?"

He was certain a lot had changed since he left Caelum, more than a year ago. Lukka didn't want to assume that everything was exactly as he had left it, but he hoped it was. Tiffany knew Caelum better than him, it was better to let her decide.
