I support this bill of rights, though I would like to see the thoughts of my peers. |

I propose an Amendment: "The only time the Bill of Rights does not apply, is in the case of a civil war." |

I am in full support of this provision, however I would fight tooth and nail to ensure Mr. Caesar's amendment would not pass. These are essential rights to be guaranteed to all of our citizens, and those whom are sworn to protect this Constitution. Security and Liberty are not exchangeable. |

I would like to submit my own amendment to this bill of rights... I. The People shall have the Right to own and keep weapons and ammunition. II. The people shall have the ability to freely express their opinions and values without fear of government reprisal. III. The people shall have the right to worship as they wish, and the government shall neither impose nor support any religion over any other. IV. No soldier will be quartered in the homes of civilians without the consent of the resident. V. No home or person shall be searched without the possession of a warrant or the belief that they are in the process of committing a crime. VI. The people shall have the right to a speedy trial by a jury of their peers if they so wish. VII. The people shall not be held accountable for the crimes of their family. VIII. The people shall not be forced into servitude against their will, whether by their fellow citizen or the government. IX. Rights not enumerated here are granted to the people and the states. |
