Sick and tired of joining Sonic forums filled with annoying kids, or then having to join a forum so small barely anyone posts there. Well we here at ML are different. We intend to be a huge a forum, without attracting the usual so called "newbs" We don't mind swearing, since you probaly swear in real life anyway, and you'll just write it like this f*ck instead if there is censorship. So enough ranting, join and decide for youself already. |

Well if your reading this, hopefully that means you've decided to check this place, and see what its all about. TML is basically a forum set up, as a place for mature members to join and meet up, and be free from what people refer to as "asshats" "newbs" "flaming kids" whatever. How? Well think witch-hunt, as well as privacy. In other words, trespassers will be shot. So what does this mean. It means we can have forum that won't be infested by flame wars based on who's recolour is less exciting. Leaving us to enjoy discussing interesting topics or rants, and being able to divulge into deep and interesting RP's So i basically want to know what you guys and gals think so far Edited by Cap, Jun 19 2008, 02:24 PM.

I think this is really pretty ^^ but it could still be improved further. Take a look at this: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tutorials/jennifer/favicon.html it'll tell you how to create a shiny little logo in the URL. When people visit BH they see a butterfly travelling into the moon, on SB it's a certain hedgehog. Apart from that, nicely laid out good sir. I can't wait to see more activity! |

cool, thanks. I only set up the forum yesterday, so theres still bits to do, but that'll be usefull. Its just understanding CSS. I get most of it, its just finding little things that I'm working on now. I hope this place does become active soon enough. It'll be interesting to see if it does end up attracting some shit heads, and to see just how fast they fly back out the door ;p Edited by Cap, Jun 19 2008, 01:46 PM.

The biggest problem is getting it to pop up in search engines. You should go onto Google and Yahoo and type in "adding to search engine", and go from there. Then hopefully a domain name further down the road will help. I plan on getting one soon, once I've hit 50+ members. One thing I discovered - if you're advertising a Sonic site on another Sonic site, you'll fail. Especially if it's Sonic Blast, one of the biggest on the net. If you were to advertise on a Bleach forum, or a Kingdom Hearts forum, there may be closet Sonic fans there that might well be interested in joining you. I recommend you sign up to a few and try and remain active for a couple of months. Another neat trick is to make a couple of fake accounts. I've got one on BH, and nobody knows about it! XD If you need any more pointers, I'll happily help you out dude ^^ although as far as CSS goes, Google is your friend. |

Yeah, I know all about google, and having to add pages to it. But in a way, I'm against it. True we'll get new members, but its filtering out the members we don't need here is the probelm. At the moment I want to stick to invites, since I know theres great members out there, who'd like a forum where you can actually get proper critism without flame wars involving re-colours. But yeah, afflilate with SB, talk about losing out to a giant. Plus, no offensense to metalix, it would attract some unwanted attention |

I have to say with my site it's a roleplaying sites for serious furry RP'rs but I advertised it up onanother site I help Administrate, Sonic spirit and I got a bunch of fucking little kids ruining it. They make short pointless posts filled wit gramer and selling misakes tat annoy yo like dis. So yeah avoid affiliating with sites that are populated by little kids. Affiliate with kids you get kids. |

Exactly. Google tends to bring alot of those first time forumers, cause thats how they find forums in the first place. Google. What I'm hoping to do is find some dying forums that have a few properly good members, and advertise there. So hopefully that will work, and then the more activity we have, the more members join and stay hopefully. Also, if you guys know other people who will be interested in a forum, free from the grasp of asshats, or maybe looking for a decent forum. Please do feel free to invite them. |
