Sick and tired of joining Sonic forums filled with annoying kids, or then having to join a forum so small barely anyone posts there.

Well we here at ML are different. We intend to be a huge a forum, without attracting the usual so called "newbs"

We don't mind swearing, since you probaly swear in real life anyway, and you'll just write it like this f*ck instead if there is censorship.

So enough ranting, join and decide for youself already.

This basically a permanant thread for sonic unleashed, where we can discuss it, and I'll add updates as they come.

But now for the BIG news. Sega have unleashed a new gameplay tralier showing Sonic literally flying through a european based level. The video basically shows all the new mechanics mentioned (expect were Sonic), such as Sonic drift, side step and some other interesting stuff.
We were actually told by Sega the gameplay tralier would come close to E3, and many believed thats when we would see new footage, but it seems sega have shown us more, sooner than expected.

I also think that to avoid posts asking repeat questions, which I undoubtedly hate, that a link to or a listing of all of the available information w/ their sources would work wonders in quelling that. XP;;

good idea i'll add that up.

Also, on the topic of this new trailer, sega have really got me hyped up for this new game. But if the gameplay actually turns out to be as bad as previous games.
Well actually there isn't much I can do apart from write a strongly worded letter, but I'll still be pissed off.

But it does seem sega have thought this one through. Things like showing what buttons to press are a simple yet great idea. Since otherwise you need to have either cat like reflexes, or have memorised the level from some parts.

It also seems they're breaking up the gameplay nicely to. We already saw the shot were sonic starting sky diving through the vent type thing, which should add a good vareity to the levels.
For the sake of everything sonic, I really hope they don't mess this one up, or we could seriously be looking at the collapse of a highly held franchise

The thing that's been keeping me optimistic the most is the director, Yoshihisa Hasimoto. By the way he's done the interviews, it seems like this new cat is genuinely passionate about the project. He makes himself out to be a no-nonsense guy and intent on really putting Sonic Team's asses to work. He even had the nerve to (semi)quote Miyamoto. If that doesn't make me smile, I don't know what does.

But back to the trailer. I like it. A lot. It was fast, furious, and highly amusing. It's like they've taken the Mach Speed Areas and injected them with a further dosage of control and awesome. The scale and overall composition of the level was also something to appreciate. It was utterly massive yet so intricately detailed; if you look hard enough you can see several different paths that Sonic can take, and that greatly reduces the supposed linearity.

I don't think there would be a doubt in anyone's mind that if this composed the entire game, many of us would be sold. However, I'm still eager to see some beast parts, which will probably come around E3. It's already been branded this week's game-killing gimmick, but I have an ironic sense of faith in it simply because it's been rumored to be even more platform-based than the daytime sections; just a little slower. If that's the case, I'm happy for its inclusion, but I won't be totally satisfied until I see it in action.

Case in point: New trailer is awesome, game is shaping up to be awesome, but E3 and afterwards will be where we hit the fork in the road.

I know what you mean about the fork in the road. I think I'm actually not going to be here during E3, so I'll miss that, but I still be trying to get some internet time to check out.
But after that, its another 4 months till the games actually out, and thats taking into consideration, theres no delays.

The were wolf Sonic form in my opinion has recieved to much critism so far. I agree that Yoshihisa Hasimoto is a guy who seems to know just what needs done, and is very passionate about Sonic. So I trust he's knows what hes doing to be honest. Plus we've yet to see anything at all on were Sonics gameplay, so its really to soon to judge.

Destruction is tempting
There aint much to say. I hope and belive this wont dissapoint eager fans waiting for another title. I am tempted to get this one that's for sure. Looking on both videos showing some good entertaining in front of me. Why do i still leave a small of unsureness if this can live up to it's expectations. It is almost as Sonic Team have all fan's shoulders upon them to create the most awesome platformer game yet again that have lived. It's the matter of letting that interest fade away and just wait.
