RPG Level: Intermediate Plot: Centuries ago humans worshiped the demons and spirits of the realm, offering gifts and prayers to soothe them. The humans relied on the spirits for war, life, and even love. They were the center of human existence... until the spirits became obsolete in the face of technology. Guns that could kill a thousand men in a second, medicines that could relieve pain entirely, buildings so tall that you could see the entire world around you. No longer needed, the spirits created their own alternate realm, Rakuen, in which they could live peacefully in. These spirits are held into order by a high council of spirits, the head of this counsel is known as the Shogunate, the oldest most-powerful spirit in all of Rakuen. Despite their agreement for peace, there are those within Rakuen who despise this dead realm, they thirst for revenge upon the humans for casting them out. These creatures thirst for human blood and flesh, their hungers can only be sated by them. Oni, demons of the underworld, are gathering forces to make a move on the human realm and turn it into a kingdom of darkness that they desire. It is their wish to ruin Rakuen and all of those beings in it who would stop their plans, especially the shogunate. Aware of such plans, the counsel and peaceful natured spirits have started a campaign to stop them, brewing war among the spirit realm. This war has spilled out into the human realm, where the creatures and spirits must disguise themselves as humans in order to prevent chaos and awareness of their presence. The demons and monsters of the realm stalk the humans, seeking to destroy them and weave them into a web of despair while the good spirits and the counsel hunt them down and bring them back to the spirit realm to be charged.
