AFASHALSLJADKAGKJSA!!! Dx
How awesome would that be? :O Street dogs, end of the world, AND ZOMBIES.

Epic, I say.

Erhm, so yeah. I've never really roleplayed street dogs, but I'd love to try. xD I've never roleplayed zombies or apocalypse, but they are so pwnsome I couldn't help myself anymore. xD

Plot: Five years have gone by since the humans finally destroyed themselves. Not only with their wars and general self-destructive nature, but with a virus. Oh sure, it was meant to be contained, but everyone knows what happens when a zombie virus is made.

It gets out.

It wreaks havoc.

And to the horror of humanity, it had no cure. None.

Thus, the human empire came to an end. There are no survivors.

Humans are extinct.

The virus was DNA-specific, only attacking humans- at least, for the first three years.
Then it mutated. Jumped to birds.
Then rodents.
Then it began attacking the larger animals.

Thankfully, there is a 50% chance that an animal infected with the virus will fight it off. After all, it was originally made for humans. Infection occurs with the transfer of infected fluids from one host to another- in other words, don't get bit, scratched, or infected blood in your wounds.

Setting: We begin our story in a desolate, decrepit city on the verge of collapse. Sure, only five years have gone by- but those last few years really were the worst. Bombing, shootouts, the very worst of human savagery came to light. It's not surprising it took so little time for them to die off.

There are few places worth visiting in the human cities anymore, and it is already Autumn. With winter approaching, the remainder of humanity's hand must find a way to survive on their own.

They must be very careful. Some places in the city are still laced with the poisonous gases used during the Last War. There is rubble everywhere, with potentially fatal situations ready to be unleashed. Zombie animals still roam, searching for more hosts to infect or feed on.

The sun rises. A new day dawns. What will happen next?

I dont have a character sheet up right now, so I'll just say who my character is. ^^

Arya, female, white shepherd, 8 yo.

Annnnd posting intro... Now. 8D

bic!
Arya glanced about once again, head low and ears perked to catch even the slightest sound. Her hackles seemed to constantly be raised anymore, and she jumped at even the tiniest of noises. Her white coat was caked with dust, and her eyes constantly darted around.

She wasn’t used to being alone.

Sure, at the age of eight one would expect her to at least be a little used to independence, but in these times… It was best to be in a group. Her mind wandered briefly to the times she shared with her family; five years ago. It had all ended, brutally. She and Old Shep, the elderly sheepdog she’d grown up with, were the only ones to get away from the attack… A whine inadvertently crept up her throat, her grief sharply reminded by recent events. Her humans had perished as all the rest had, two of them ripped savagely apart by the infected creatures and the others… Fell prey to the virus’s grasp. She and Shep could do nothing but watch and grieve as they turned. Poor Shep, having bad hips anyways, barely made it for the few years they’d had left together, and it was only expected that one of those times they ran into one of those… things… he wouldn’t be able to get away.

That time had come less than three months ago. She shook the memory off as best she could, returning to traveling to the place she hoped her need to be with others would be satisfied.

She’d been walking for miles now. Her pads were raw and sore from traversing broken roads for so long, and her throat burned with thirst. She had to be getting close now; at the top of the hill a ways back she could see the outline of buildings in the distance. Her gut twisted at the thought, and she stopped to sit a moment.

“Get a hold of yourself, girl.”

It was stupid to be afraid of meeting other survivors, wasn’t it? Stupid to fear others seeking the safety of numbers, and the comfort of kin. But… she did. For some inexplicable reason Arya was afraid. She forced herself to get back up and lope down the road. She wouldn’t think about it for now. No, she’d concentrate on getting there first.

That in itself might be hard to accomplish.

The rest of the day went by, and a noisy, sleepless night, before she could clearly see the city again. She began to run towards it in her excitement, but abruptly stopped when a thrashing in the bushes to her right caught her attention. Instantly her hackles went up, her ears flattened to her skull and she bared her teeth. Her heart beat so fast it felt like it was going to explode, and it nearly did when an infected deer lurched at her through the brush.

Faster than she thought possible she high-tailed it, sprinting towards the only safety she could see; the city.

Hello, I'm Midnight, I'd like to join as a male, Streak, and female, Static. Is that a good way to ask to join? I'm very new here.

Sure, that'd be fine. xD
Here we pretty much use ooc and bic, like on Neopets, unless it's an ooc board. ^^

(That's ok. I'll start my intro.)

Silver paws thudded against the hard ground. A greyish colored female folowed the scent the male had left behind. Stopping to rest, Static, as she had been named, let oit a melodic howl. Being a Sweedish Elkhound, her thick fur did little to keep her cool, doing the exact opposite by heating her up.

About three hundered yards away, a white bundle of fur was bounging towars her. He stopped infront of her." Oh, Streak, how many times have I told you to stay with me?", she said with a sigh to the male, now sitting on his haunches. He bowed his head and whispered,"Many." She nodded."In times like this, you must be careful.", she said to the White Swiss shepherd . They each had close encounters with the virus, Streak nearly getting killed by it.

Oh why did this have to happen now?

Streak's stomach had a sinking feeling in it. Static's grumbled loudly. He glanced over at her, now getting up to search for food."Patience, brother.", she said, begining to trot over to what seemed to be safer, and hopefully with more food, land. The two treated each other like family, even though not related. It was an unbreakable bond, but their strenghth will be tested in this Apocolypse./fin/

OoC: Thanks!

BIC: A black canine dragged a paw through the dirt, kicking up a bit of dust. It was a medium sized female, dressed in dull black fur accented by spots of tan on her paws, face and chest. She appeared to be 6 years old, with features often found in Rhodesian Ridgebacks. After clawing for a few extra minutes, she let out a sound of disgust and walked off, staying close to the shadows provided by the rubble towering to her left and right. Her brown eyes scanned back and forth, since she was in the heart of the city, a place where once domesticated, but now infected, creatures feasted on one another and the uninfected. She was quite lucky to still be breathing, but things can change quickly in this world.

Her ears perked up at the sound of movement and her curiosity was further heightened when a few pebbles rolled down the side of a piece of concrete. Tucking her tail between her legs, she sneaked off. Hopefully whatever it was didn't hear her, and after a few moments, it was clear they didn't since she was not being followed. Even though, her paranoia had been slide up a few notches.

It was going to be another very, very long and hard day.
