ooc! I was surprised one of these hadn't been started yet. o: Well, I'll make one here and give you guys a setting and some plot ideas to start with. xD I may or may not join somewhere along the line, but at least this will be here. ^^ Setting: Mountains. Pines. Aspen, birch, spruce, and redwood. This was elk country. Tucked away in a corner of wildland untouched by human hands lies a tranquil scene, inhabited only by those creatures naturally born to this place. Mountains wrap around to the west and north, and forest sprawls out like a never-ending green ocean. A lake, fairly large and stretching out to those northern peaks, meets a clearing to its south. The clearing is large as well, stretching back towards the foothills of those grand summits and sloping gently upwards before meeting forestry. Fifty miles to the east begins the reign of humans, where an old ranch sits. It is getting towards Autumn, the leaves just beginning to turn color. Every once in a while it gets cold enough to see one's breath. Plots: A few months ago, a break in the fence let many of the ranch's finest specimens loose. The humans search for these escapees, and any of their offspring. ~With winter creeping closer, and predators on the hunt, one must always be prepared. It is much more likely for one to survive in a herd than alone. ~For those already in a herd, rivals for food and shelter sources make surviving all that much harder. This little area has plenty, and is fairly sheltered from the belly-deep snows that often come- making it prime territory for more than just horses. Please keep in mind what kinds of horses are likely to exist here. xD A pure Lippizaner mustang or other ridiculous breeds, such as a pure white Fresian, would not likely be born in the wild, if at all. Mustangs are most likely to be here, but crosses and purebreds- so long as they are from the ranch or other source- are fine. Uhh... yeah I think that's it. xD Have fun kiddos! |
