The Magical Leaf community is an multi-genre site that wants to house tons of long-term roleplayers. We hunt for fresh, new members to create the most diverse roleplay community. A L L I E Name/Nickname: The first and middle names are Allison Louise, but you should all call me Allie. D: but my fave band is Coldplay? (among like, a lot of others.) I've been liking Elbow a lot too, recently. Favorite movie: I can never pick a favorite movie, either. But I recently watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time. (I know, I know. Late to the party.) And. ajrlewrklwl. Just. <3333 Favorite food: I've been raised on Mexican food, so I love anything spicy. But I also love Mediterranean food. Favorite animal: Probs a fox or a penguin. :] Favorite roleplay: I'll be linking my genre thread here, after I make it! Other: Well, hello. The name's Allie, obviously, and I joined this lovely site just...well, it was less than fifteen minutes ago, I think. I figured that the fastest way to get to know everyone would be to introduce myself right away, so here I am. Anyway, I'm 17 years old as of June 2nd (I know, I know--a young one!), and I started my senior year of high school last week. I attend this cute little private college-prep school up in the cold and mostly forgotten state of Maine--which means that, yes indeed, I am on EST! Let's see--activities I love to death include reading, writing, acting, playing badminton, and whooping anyone and everyone's ass at Monopoly. As far as reading, I love satirical fiction to death--hell, I love satirical nonficiton to death, too. My most recent favorite book was Good Omens. Gaiman and Pratchett? Yes, that Good Omens. <3 Uhh, what else? Oh, I am hugely into the political scene. There are few things I love more than talking politics. I should go so far as to say that my favorite 'celebrity' (if the term even applies, in this case) is Brian Williams. Yes, the NBC Nightly News anchor. I love that man. And I also loved Tim Russert. But then he died. ): Meet the Press is just not the same anymore--sorry David Gregory. (oh god, I'm such a dork. do other NBCgeeks even exist?) But enough of me bawwwwing about Tim and his tragic early demise. I'm here to talk about myself! And already I feel like I'm rambling. Damn. Let's see. What else can I think of? Oh yes. I'm also into the whole animegame scene, though the anime part far more than the game part, honestly. CLAMP is my favorite artist, and yeah, I'm pretty much a total geek for their stuff. (My nerd rating just keeps getting higher and higher, doesn't it?) I like a few other series outside their works (Kuroshitsuji, anyone? Kyou Kara Maou!?), but most of my animanga expertise is from them. So um. Yeah, I mentioned acting? Love it, love it, love it. If I had to pick a favorite hobby, that'd probably be it. I would absolutely love to get involved in some sort of LARP--I've heard about them, and they sound beyond amazing, but unfortunately, nothing like that ever happens up here in Maine. ): But if anyone has any information to volunteer for me on this subject, I'd be greatly appreciative--even if it's only relating tales of how fun it is, which will only make me want to try it more (and also make me incredibly jealous of you, but y'know). Lastly, there is nothing in the world I find more interesting than people. I love to talk philosophy (which often ties in with my love of talking politics). If you're into the whole questioning life and the universe--or perhaps slightly more immediate things--then give me a shout out. I'll never turn down a chance to discuss ideology and/or why people think things or don't think things, or, well, just about anything. =D Well, that's it! Hey Allie~  I've never heard of Elbow. The name makes me laugh. xD Did CLAMP make CardCaptor Sakura. They have beautiful art (if that was right xD). <3 The only manga artist I can remember is Azuma... something. -fails xD;- I might not look it, but I'm quite philosophical myself. Don't really get to talk about it much though. xP Once again, welcome! |

Heyyy~ I know, right? Their name's hilarious! I'd never heard of them either, until I saw them live as an opener for Coldplay. They're really phenomenal. I'd recommend 'em to anyone. ;) Yes indeed, they did! That was really their only series that looked like that though--their style changes so much. I always like it though. It's always very pretty. Luckily, my wife will talk philosophy with me--but she's pretty much the only person who will. D: so if you ever get the inclination, just give me a shout! <3 |

Bu the way, nerds and geeks rule the world. ^^ Andx maybe again to TML~ I kind of about some of the stuff you talked about, but not much. xD I don't listen to stuff like Coldplay, and Elbow does sound odd. CLAMP'S artwork is beautiful. They're my favorite, too. I love CLAMP. >> CCS, Tsubasa, xxxHolic. Those are the first to come to mind. CLAMP did make CCS. I might have heard of those other titles you mentioned, but I've never read or watched anything from them. I'm the person you want to talk about psychology and phisological stuff. xD I have way too many things unsaid to anyone and pent-up ideas about life. Eh, way too many. I've been saying lately I want to be a psychologyist or social worker, or nurse. Something in the health or English fields. But yeah, I think I can put up a good debate. |

Hiya Allie~ ^^ Hey, your birthday is three days before mine! And six days before my mom's. And- *coughs* Uhh, I think CLAMP did Code Geass, right? That may be the only thing of theirs that I've seen, in my very limited experience. I'd love to try a LARP sometime, but I know nothing about them. ^^; I enjoy debates, and philosophical ones are the best kind. It's a way to be stubborn but not get called out for it. xD However, I'm probably rather boring when it comes to my own views on life. So yeah, welcome! |
