 You hear those stories all the time. About the magic. How someone uses it for evil and tries to take over the world. The heroes always manage to stop him in the nick of time and the magic gives no repercussions. Those stories. Guy has family killed by the evil, goes on a roaring rampage of revenge, finds the girl he loves and goes forth to kick ass. That never happened this time. This time, the evil won before the good had time to even realise it was under threat. Imagine a world where magic is not light or dark, nor good or bad. It’s just a primal force of nature, uncaring as to who uses it for what. That’s what allowed the Emperor to annihilate all who opposed him and take over the entirety of Earth. That and the fabled Silver Trigger, an artefact, split into six that the Emperor scattered across the world so that none could find them all and oppose him in power. For over 500 years, the Emperor has ruled, his mastery of magic granting him semi immortality. It seemed that until the end of days, the Emperor would rule over all. But The Resistance Of Man has something to say about that. Starting up about a hundred years ago, they’ve fought back as much as they can; restoring hope and trying to actually get the Earth back from the Emperor. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a great deal of success and so…The R.O.M’s eyes turn to the younger generation, hoping for them to succeed where they have failed. It’s the year 2519. The world is oppressed. The Empire rules all. A resistance is trying it’s hardest to make headway. Sci Fi Fantasy. Any Roleplaying Skill. PG-13+. Beginning to sound like one of those stories yet?
