Just because she’s friends with the dead doesn’t mean she has to look like them. Abigail hardly looks like the dark, death dealing type that a necromancer would be expected to appear. Instead, she looks like a typical teenage girl, save for looking a tad bit younger. Being 5’ 2” with big blue-green doll eyes and rosy, round cheeks makes her look like her twelve year old sister rather than a senior in high school. Luckily for her, good genetics passed down a well endowed chest and child-bearing hips that no middle school kid would have. Despite theses seemingly adorable features, Abigail finds flaws in her thin lips, pale skin, prominent nose and dark eyebrows. With such self conscious tendencies, it’s hard to believe she’d do anything to draw attention to what she considers ‘ugly.’ But an attempt to impress her crush left Abby with a snakebite lip piercing, where she wears a set of silver rings. Both are made of the same silver from her ankh necklace, which she wears around her neck at all times. Another necklace that she constantly wears is a palm-sized, plastic, red heart held on a long silver chain. The heart has a diamond encrusted crown above it and beats whenever an undead in nearby. Although her piercing are self inflicted, the surgical scars located on her chest are from the surgery she endured after The Accident. Other scars pepper over her body in various areas, including one that is skull shaped as a result of a belt buckle colliding into her stomach at high speeds. Abby covers these imperfections using colorful band aids and make up. She even started wearing her eyeliner heavier in order to cover a few unwanted scars below her brow. Aside from eye make up, she rarely wears any other make up on her face. Abigail’s style and choice of clothing is also quite different from what a stereotypical necromancer would wear. She keeps her hair cut a little below her shoulders and held in pigtails usually. It remains untouched by dye and stays it’s natural milk chocolate tint. Most times she’ll wear a little bow on the left side, whose color changes depending on her clothes. Sometimes, she’ll wear the skull of a pixie fashioned to black and white ribbon that was given to her by Charlemagne as an ‘anniversary present.’ On a typical day, regardless of whether or not she’s going to the movies or raising the dead, she’ll wear a turquoise sundress of a buffalo plaid pattern. Accompanied by black ballet flats or low top converse depending on her activities. My psychologist says . Socially awkward are the words that describe Abby best, and are even right in her opinion. She is well aware that her constant mouth vomit of inner thoughts is not exactly the best quality to have. Her words are never filtered, so what she says it what she thinks, making her very strong in opinion. However, words is as far as she’ll go, since physical violence is in her troubled past. Having lost her temper on one too many occasions leaves her cautious in her actions and less confident in conversation. A violent tantrum isn’t the only thing that plagues Abby, there is also an extreme lack of self esteem. Abigail is incredibly hard on herself, going as far to think that she is worthless and pathetic. Such a perspective leaves her susceptible to go to great lengths to make herself feel beautiful or of value. The eating disorder she had early into her high school career serves as an example. Despite such an evident lack of self confidence, Abby does her best to hide this behind her one pride in life; her voice. Even with her blessed vocal cords, Abby finds herself in an endless struggle between loving and hating herself. So, Abby distracts herself by having obsessive compulsive tendencies. An obsession with numbers divisible by five has her adjusting thermostats, radios, television sets, etc, just for that perfect number. Her hair serves as an even bigger distraction, as she is constantly running her fingers through it in order to keep it perfect. Abigail’s OCD is another trait that she tries to hide, but has only worsened since The Accident. Luckily, there is one person who accepts her quirks and eases the anxiety she feels on a daily basis. Demetri is the only person Abby feels comfortable around, since his laid back personality meshes well with hers. He looks past the façade she has set up and tried to coax her confidence with constant compliments. Such kind words have Abby deeply enamored with him, but she keeps herself from confessing such things in fear of getting rejected. Her crush did not endure The Accident, for the guilt she has over Demetri's current state outweigh her emotion towards him. However, a curious symptom has arisen from her new organ that seems unlikely to be scientific. It seems that, since the transplant, Abigail has unexplicably inherited some traits from Demetri. She suffers chronic use of hand motions when speaking, suprising bursts of laziness, the sudden urge to laugh at everything in a boysih manner, signs of a cheerful disposition and a massive appetite for salad croutons. All of which are helpful to her personality, but remind her an awful lot of Demetri. It is as though his old self is still apart of her, including the thought of their relationship as only a close friendship. Once upon a time . Abigail grew up with her mother in the quiet suburb of a lackadaisical Midwestern city. She was considered the brain child that would be the first in their family to go to college. Because of this, she was used to studying hard and sticking to academics as opposed to making friends and enjoying her youth. Added to the distress of not having a male figure in her life, Abby considered herself defective and developed the anxiety that started in her early teens. By the time she got into high school, she had become an outcast from her peers and considered herself alone in such a large community. That all changed when she met Demetri freshman year in her Biology class. He was an skinny, energetic goofball that stole her heart the minute he called her Harley. (A reference to her last name and Harley Quinn, The Joker’s hench wench.) Abigail loved his personality and found him incredibly cute, ending up in a crush that continued after Freshman year. However, having low self esteem prevented her from considering herself worthy enough to even be considered by Demetri. So she admired him from afar for two more years until they became good friends at the end of her junior year. When senior year began, Demetri and his girlfriend of little over a year broke off after she was found cheating on him. Devastated, Demetri turned to Abigail, who was still gazing upon him with adoring eyes. The two of them began hang together and attempt to distract Demetri from his misfortune. One night, while returning from a midnight showing of a Night of the Living Dead remake, the two of them were in a horrible car accident. Abby had to swerve off the road to avoid hitting an escaped pig from a local farm, and crashed the car into a dead oak tree. The owner of the pig called an ambulance and the two of them were rushed to the hospital. Demetri, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, had been impaled by a limb from the tree and died on his way to the hospital. Abigail was in critical condition, having suffered a similar wound to the chest that punctured her heart. In a desperate attempt to save her, the doctors harvested Demetri’s heart a hour after his death and transplanted it to Abby. Suprisingly, the operation worked and about a week later Abby was fully recovered. (With a new pet pig named Hamlet waiting for her as an apology from the farmer.) Even with a working heart, it was still in pieces from the loss of Demetri, her best friend and long time crush. Abigail mourned at his grave nightly in order to ease the guilt she had for his death, singing her own elegy to his headstone. On the night of a new moon, she visited his grave once again only to find it dug up. The culprit was shrieking behind the tombstone as he observed his green, tattered flesh. It was Demetri, or at least a heavily decomposed version of him. Abigail coaxed him to her house and sewed up what she could in order to make his body more complete. Afterwards, he explained how he had been awakened from his coffin by a loud thumping noise from above ground. Demetri pointed to her chest and was shocked to hear his own heart beating within her. Both were confused about their situation until a vampire named Charlemagne phased through the freezer and explained what had happened. Since Abigail had a dead organ living within her, she had become in tune with the afterlife and therefore was a necromancer. Her nightingale routine at Demetri’s grave with his heart was enough for an impromptu ritual that brought him back to the living. With newfound pull over the those living and dead, Abigail now has her high school crush bound to her via necromancy (whose old memories and emotions cling to her via his beating heart), a pompous vampire who teaches her the dark arts and a voice that attracts rotting corpses to her front door.
