 F U L L N A M E James Mitcherson D . O . B . 2nd of May A G E 17 G E N D E R Male A P P E A R A N C E James has a slight build, small and slender with narrow shoulders. As expected, he has little in the way of muscle. His stomach is flat, concave almost and devoid of any visible muscle definition. He is healthy though, and has just enough meat on his bones to not be regarded as a scarecrow. However, although he is just a little below average height for boys his age, that is enough for him to be regarded as ‘vertically challenged.’ His eyes are a blue colour, which was bright and vivid when he was younger but became more subdued as he grew. At seventeen, they are dull, and suit the casual and relaxed expression that James often wears. His hair falls around his eyes, dropping down at the middle, then sweeping towards his ears. The thick crop of hair is dark, and while it appears to be black, under closer inspection it is actually a brown. The darkness contrasts nicely with his fair skin. James does not attempt to over-style it, because his hair is the kind that just prefers to hang naturally and only concedes under the most heavy kinds of sprays and serums. Most mornings, it is treated to a quick comb and then a careless dishevelling by James’ hand. Of course, there are always days when James forgets even this. The rest of his face follows the natural pattern of the rest of his body, very little unnecessary fat, and smooth curved features. His nose follows a gentle ski slope, with just a hint of a peak at the tip. To the casual observer, his mouth seems to be permanently fixed in a haughty grin. As always with James, it still remains loose and casual, as if he puts no effort into it all. His only complaint would be that he couldn’t quite get any sort of good facial hair. James’ whole body seems to ooze of this relaxed, and yet totally confident, ideal. He walks like it, he sits like it, he stands like it. His walk is at a moderate pace, not so slow that people appear to zoom past, but not so fast that he is walking with the crowd. James is the happy medium. At school, he sits as if he is at home, getting himself comfortable even if that means sticking one foot out into the aisle, and leaning back in his seat, one arm rested on the desk behind him for support. Of course, the position would change often, but rarely involved sitting straight with his knees together. At home, he is worse, the couch is his castle, and he has no qualms about feet, with shoes or otherwise, on any sort of furniture. Despite this overly relaxed method of seating, James rarely slouches. His body language is very open, with his shoulders pressed comfortably back, and his chest and chin pushed out an up. An odd combination, but James seems to pull it off without looking overly pretentious. P E R S O N A L L I F E James enjoys the simpler things in life, and tries not to take anything too seriously. He enjoys cracking jokes whether they be hilarious, groan inducing or at the expense of himself or others. He wouldn’t admit to be being a bully, or anything similar, but he finds that he has the most fun when his jokes are aimed at others. For the most part though, he is friendly and easy to get along with. He has a fairly tight knit group of friends, but still associates with other kids outside his own circle. An outgoing personality means that James is well known in his year level at school, even if he does nothing extracurricular. The idea of sports just never appealed to him. He was never completely hopeless at it, and if he hadn’t collapsed after running up and down, or round and round a field, he could usually handle the basics. Nevertheless, the actions always felt awkward, and more than one ball to the head resulted in deterring him participating voluntarily in any sport. As for the other clubs the school offered, in James’ opinion they were lame. In truth, it was more the fact that it involved using up just a few more hours of time that could be better spent lounging around somewhere. James much preferred just hanging out with his friends, or watching TV, or playing video games. It sounds lazy, but James always finds a way to be energetic about anything. Video games in particular, James is guilty of getting a little too much into the games and moving his body with the controller. To most, it would look a pretty uninspired life. However, if James did have a special passion, it was one he kept to himself. While the rest of his grades were pretty average, James was good at, and also enjoyed, his English lessons. He joined in with his friends as they moaned and complained about having to read thick and boring books, and then having to write horrendously long essays about them. On most occasions though, James had already stayed up all night reading, or was already well into the essay. He didn’t do anything outside of school though, even if he just kept it to himself. James figured that starting to do anything that could be a school assignment outside of school was just about the most loser-ish thing anyone could do. Not that that he doesn’t put his knack with words to good use. His minor notoriety amongst the school population was gained because of his way with the girls. Being a little on the short side with no muscles to bulge or flex means that he doesn’t have the girls hanging off of him, but his way with words and effortless confidence make him a smooth talker. It was a common joke amongst his close friends, but James is not as sleazy as he often pretends to be. He is also a bit of a gossip, and is constantly curious about what is going on in other peoples lives. This probably developed from his insatiable curiosity as a kid. Although back then, he was more interested in sticking things in the microwave to see if they would blow up. F A M I L Y L I F E James is the only child and has no problem with this at all. He has plenty of things to entertain him if he gets bored or lonely, whether they be his human friends or his electronic friends, such as his X-Box and his laptop. With his parents around, James has never wanted for anything. His parents own several successful businesses and as a result are fairly wealthy. James is neither secretive nor overly proud about this fact. He won’t bring it up himself, but if someone else asks or suggests anything he doesn’t get awkward or embarrassed. He also has no problem with spending his substantial allowance, or even from borrowing extra from his parents. His parents do love him, even if they are a little out of the picture at times due to their work. James often has the house to himself while his parents spend long days at the office. What time James does spend with his parents usually involves his parents talking about colleges, and trying to get James to decide on a career, or encouraging him to work harder at his grades, or focus more in class, or basically anything that could eventually lead to James landing a good job. Although, above all of this it is James’ wishes that preside over everything. James would have gone to a private school, but he had refused to wear the uniform and insisted on the closest public school which would allow him to wear casual. It didn’t take James long to get what he wanted. C L O T H I N G When it comes down to clothing, James prefers to go for comfort over what it looks like. Though he manages to find plenty of comfortable things he likes that just happen to be brand names. He does like what the clothes have on them though, especially the t-shirts with humorous slogans. James has a whole collection ranging from cute and harmless to a few that lean more towards the naughty side of the scale. Aside from the clothes themselves, James isn’t too fussy about what he wears. It’s jeans and jackets in the winter, and t-shirts and shorts in the summer. It doesn’t change much. When it comes to the fit, James prefers his clothes loose enough to move around in, but not so baggy that he is swamped by them. As mentioned before, when it comes to James and clothes, it is comfort that rules him. Looking good comes a close second. |
