(Oh, I didn't realize it was one per character, not per user. =o Sarin will take the Dark 2 ball then. :3) This was possibly the closest she'd come to heaven since her traumatic transformation. A simple smile rested on her face; small, perhaps, but clear. The feature might have seemed alien to one who knew the often reclusive girl, and indeed the brightness of her expression made the shadows under her strange reddish eyes more obvious. Then again, her outfit seemed strange enough to draw attention away from her features. Even in this oppressive heat, she wore a pair of pants and a long sleeved shirt - these were made of light material, but even so! And furthermore, she had on a pair of thick, gray gloves, and her customary headscarf. One might have thought the girl would be melting in such clothing, in such weather. But to Sarin, this was paradise. Usually, it was as if a chill constantly plagued her, for she grew cold quite easily and often shivered even in the slightest summer breezes. But today, the sun's warmth fell gently on her (or the all-covering clothes she wore, at least), granting happiness along with its light and warmth. Gyera hopped along behind her, flapping his cotton wings to cover a bit of extra ground with each step - his legs were quite short, after all! The excitement of his trainer was contagious, as was the fact that the outside world was still new to him - and if he had understood correctly, there would be more Pokémon here, and one would be joining them! Strange forms flashed through his mind as he imagined what the Pokémon might look like. He eagerly welcomed a new companion, although he made a note to himself to make sure to establish his role of leadership. He cooed happily to himself. (I'll post for Kale later. =o) |

OoC: | Yeah, that's what I meant, but I realized I kind of said it as one per user and that's how it sounded. And it was one per character. So I changed that. Sorry about that. Wait for a couple more people to post now~ |

The summer grasses tickled Kale's legs as he made his way through the field. He squinted his eyes a little against the glare of the sun as he approached the location of the summer bash, and through this lens the gathering people and Pokémon seemed like strange phantom, shifting silhouettes of black against the summer glow. As he drew nearer, the shapes began to become clearer: here there was a tent, and there was a table... the latter attracted his attention, for he guessed that this was where he was meant to go. Holding a hand over his eyes to shade them, he changed his path so that he was heading towards the table. As he passed by some of the gathered people he slowed slightly to show proper courtesy, giving a smile to this one, a nod to the other, to return a word of greeting when one was given to him. He did not linger long, however, and his movement appeared uninterrupted. He arrived soon at the table, before too much of the crowd had condensed around it as he assumed they soon would. He flashed a polite smile at the two people at the table, one seeming to be a trainer like himself, the other working at the event. It was first to the Pokéballs, and then to the latter person, that he directed his attention. "Is that Pokéball available?" he asked, pointing at the second ball in the Ground box. |

ooc; I'll post for Emma after Basset does for David, but I'll do Zoe's now. Oh, and Tobi: is it okay that she already knows him from the Valentine's thing? ^^; bic; She giggled at Clem's expression and followed him to over to the table. "Blasphemy? No one's said that word since...well, ever!" Zoe noted, rolling her eyes. The girl agreed it was smoldering out, but wasn't as much affected by it. She was so grateful for her cutoff top and short-shorts, and laughed again. "And I feel fine, thanks." She grinned evilly at him, brushing her bangs off of her brow to wipe the sweat from her forehead. The girl stepped up to the table, and looked at the Pokeballs in the boxes. She loved Dragon types, though she didn't see any, she was attracted to the Dark-type box. Zoe rolled her eyes again at Clem's whining, and picked up a Pokeball from the Dark types, and examined it, checking to see if it was legit, and not some kind of scam. |

Clem didn't really care much about the boy that strolled over. He just wanted that pokeball, which he pretty much thought he knew what was. In fact, he didn't even entirely care. He was practically DIEING in this heat, he wasn't used to it at all! He came from a place that was practically cold twenty four/seven. He was figuratively made of ice, in the sense that the cold enjoyed him. The rain cleared his thoughts, and he got a sense of ecstasy whenever a nice breeze chilled his body. And this, this HEAT was just terrible. He wouldn't take it. And just when he thought it couldn't get any longer, another... "acquaintance" of his appeared, although she seemed more like those rivals people had that they didn't know wether or not to stab them or kiss them. Well, for him anyway. He was rather weird like that, but right now it was definitely the stab option, with all the frustration building up to his already insane mind. Clem slowly turned his head to Zoe as he heard her voice being directed towards him. The expression on his face could have been described as a face that would look totally calm, but if one looked real close they would notice the insanity running in that strange, strange person. "Well well, look who it is!" He was tempted to laugh, but he couldn't force himself to do so. "Excuse me for my expansive vocabulary. I like to think it's rather unique." He smirked a little bit, but then realized how annoyed he was and changed his face back to a small scowl. "Y'know, I didn't really ask for your opinion. I mean, you're basically wearing a two piece swim suit so looking at it," he made a motion with his hand that seemed to be examining her, "I would assume you were just at the beach! So it isn't really fair when I'm wearing this." Clem was wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a green hoodie on. "And I have to wear this hoodie. I love it." He looked at it a little, but then went back to looking at the pokeballs as he noticed Zoe switch her attention. |

Zoe really doesn't mind hot weather, as long as she is wearing shorts and short sleeves, but could definitely go without winter. She lived in a place that had hot summers and mild winters, but didn't know Moon Forest's climate. The girl hoped it would stay this hot year-round, afraid that she'd freeze to death, and be mocked by Clem. She set the Pokeball back down, realizing it's validity, and turned to respond to the boy. "At least I'm wearing something weather appropriate. What possessed you to wear a hoodie and jeans in 100-degree weather?" the girl replied. "And whadda you mean, not fair that you're wearing that? Why wouldn't it be fair? You chose your outfit, and I chose mine, and you're dying and I'm perfectly fine." Zoe gave him a smug grin, and politely asked the person at the desk if she could take the first Pokeball from the Dark box. She side glanced at Clem and thought back to his criticizing her attire. When he looked her up and down, she had a feeling he was using that excuse to check her out. Zoe stifled a laugh by coughing, and suddenly felt superior and in control. You know, being a girl isn't all that bad. she thought. I wonder how else I can mess with him? |

ooc;; I didn't say it earlier, but yeah it's okay she already knows him. :P "I wear these clothes because I like them, and they're easy to get on and off! I don't usually tend to go through my closet for hours and hours picking something to wear, unlike so many girls I know. I think it's pretty tedious to do that." Clem actually did like to look nice, or at least in clothes that he thought looked nice. He didn't bother to go trough his dresser for hours looking for clothes, why would he? There wasn't much of a point. "Besides, I don't normally wear stuff like this. I usually were some shorts... Even though I practically live in a rainforest, the cold doesn't bother me. It's actually rather... soothing." He smirked a little, mostly at the thought that Zoe was probably the type of girl who couldn't stand anything even close to a chill. "For all I know, maybe you're so mad sadistic genius who knows how to manipulate weather. It isn't really that unlikely." As Clem spoke the common bullcrap theories he took straight out of his head he took off his sweatshirt, revealing one of those tight shirts people commonly had on when they were swimming. It was red on the sleeves and a light gray color on the torso. He liked the feel of it, and he would probably go swimming later, he had heard there was a river in the forest somewhere. "Where are you from, anyway, if you can stand weather like this?" He asked the girl, as he held his hoodie in one arm. Edited by Tobi, Aug 21 2009, 12:13 PM.

"Excuse me? I am not like those so many girls you know." she retorted, putting a hand on her hip defiantly. Zoe hated being compared to anyone else, especially other girls--and especially girly-girls who take forever to pick out their clothes. It's a little specific, but she resented it more than she would if it was about something not girly. "It may sound kinda gross, but the only clothes I brought with me are this outfit and pj's. I honestly don't have much of a choice. Not that I would want so many choices. I don't really care, as long as it's comfortable and functional." The girl raised an eyebrow, thinking she had a pretty good argument. "I hate the cold... Or basically anything under 65 degrees. How can cold be soothing? The feel of the hot sun on my face is so relaxing and it makes my skin tingle." she sighed, closing her eyes and tilting her face towards the sky for a moment. "Anyways, if I could change the weather, I'd probably make it a bit hotter but less humid." Zoe watched him remove his heavy sweatshirt and noticed that his top resembled a surfer shirt. "Didn't you just criticize my outfit because it looked like I just came from the beach? What about that shirt? Hypocritical much?" She pinched the shirt and pulled on it, letting it go and watching it snap back. The girl wore a confident smile on her face. "Oh, I'm from Jubilife City. It's not super hot there all the time, but I adapt pretty well to warm climates." |

Shuu curiously looked up at its trainer as it was set on the table. "All right, take your pick." Olivia said, gesturing to the many boxes. "And make sure it's a good one, okay?" Before the little Sandshrew could protest, the girl patted him on the head and smiled. "You're such a good boy, Shuu." There was no escaping now. Defeated, Shuu looked over the many boxes confusedly. They all looked the same to him. Did it even matter which one he picked? Poking his head into the nearest box, he found two Pokeballs. Not the most interesting thing ever. That is, until one of them started moving. Now that was strange. The young Pokemon picked up the Pokeball, holding it up to the light in fascination. Through the transparent red of the Pokeball, he could see a tiny moving silhouette. Shuu couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but it seemed to want to get out- and desperately at that. And who was he to deny a Pokemon in need? Unfortunately, Shuu would probably get scolded if he let it out right then and there. It was then that his attention was caught by the other trainers. Seeing as they were talking to a man behind the table, Shuu figured that was probably his best shot, both for staying out of trouble and doing what was supposed to be done in the first place, and held out the Pokeball to him. While Shuu was choosing the next partner for her Pokemon team, Olivia glanced around. The other trainers seemed to be having fun. The two people arguing by the table particularly made her want to smirk and say “Aww look, a lover’s quarrel.” She would have too, but it was too hot and she didn’t want to risk getting her face punched in. Turning back to the crowd of faces, it wasn't long before she noticed a certain someone. Not that it was too hard- that girl was probably the only one who'd ever wear a scarf and gloves in this weather. "Sarin! Hey!" Olivia smiled warmly as she waved to her. |

She did have a good argument there... Though, Clem knew a lot of people that were like this, but he didn't want to disagree with her there. Clem knew someone in specific that she reminded him of, but those were memories best left untouched. That, and he didn't want her to have something she could blackmail on. Though she was already getting to the point where Clem would have to watch himself, or he'd say something stupid. He wasn't the best at keeping secrets, and occasionally it made strong enemies. Clem dropped her whole first argument. He didn't have much to say, it was like using the first half of a Debate round, which wasn't good. In fact, this pretty much WAS losing the first round of a Debate. "The cold is wonderful. It's calm and soothing in the Winter, for the most part. Besides, why would I want to boil in the hot sun? I just get sunburned anyway, and it makes everything all hot and unbearable to touch. I mean, people don't get sunburned in the cold, last time I checked." He himself had a massive sunburn a little before coming to Moon Forest, and it was unbearable beyond all relief. The very touch of it stung. "Yeah, I'm pretty hypocritical. I'm not gonna continue an argument in that sweatshirt, heaven forbid!" Even wearing this shirt still made him extremely warm, but at least it wasn't as bad as before. "Jubilife? Is that in the Sinnoh region...? I wouldn't know, I've never been there... I come from a town in a region not to far from here, and it's really rainy all the time, and I miss it a lot..." Clem stared vaguely at the sky for a minute, then switched his gaze back to the lady at the counter. "Alright you, gimme that pokeball. There's a river in that forest with my name on it." |
