![]() SILVER SKY [blockquote]The gods and goddesses of the wolves watched down on the land of Loreske day by day. Sometimes, they would interfere with the common order of things. Time went on and they changed the shape of the wolves. Time went on and they gave the wolves power. Soon, the wolves were hardly the creatures they started as, but could still identify themselves as wolves. Horned, winged, and full of power, they became drunk on the power the gods gave them. The powerful earned their power, with loyalty to the gods and goddesses of their packlands. But power didn't always equate with leadership. All the packs had powerful leaders. Some wielded the power of flight. Others had a bite force that could shatter bones like twigs. While a few could control the elements. And then, suddenly, a weak male rose to power. He was a wimpy, wingless thing, with small horns on his head and gentle eyes. But he was a leader. He could lead his wolves to happiness. He could lead his pack to salvation, to honor. And to be bested in leadership by this small wolf, the stronger Alphas were ashamed and destroyed the creature that brought them shame. They killed the weak, but glorious leader. The gods and goddesses took a step back to enjoy the show. The wolves that loved the weak leader included a few strong Alphas and their pack. The two sides were evenly matched: those that thought themselves as righteous for killing the weakling and those that sought vengeance for his death. After a hundred years of war and death, the gods and goddesses became bored. They gave gifts. And these gifts were incredible powers, but only a fraction of what the gods and goddesses possessed together. Those who loved life and newness gave it to the power-hungry ones--the ones who loved death. These wolves suddenly had the gift of the gods: a small thing which could never kill a wolf, but could change him forever, make him young, take away all curses, give him wings and horns, or new power. The ones who loved life were given gifts from those who loved death and destruction. These wolves could kill wolves with disease, could take away health, could just erase a wolf's features and powers, give him curses, or age a wolf to become elderly and weak. They wanted the others' gifts. The ones who wanted vengeance wanted the life gift and hated the death gift. Those who thought themselves as justice for killing the weak leader wanted the gift of death to punish the wolves, but they only had the gift of life. They tried to steal and fight for it, but all for nothing. Soon, they tried to settle things diplomatically. The wolves met each other civilly, on guard, growling the whole time. They were about to trade, but a single wolf calmly walked from the crowd. All the crowd was in awe at his coolness. He just picked up both gifts and then sprinted away, stealing them. They were never seen again. It is unclear if he was a god or if he was an average wolf, but legend says he split the gifts into pieces and even a shard of it had a power beyond comprehension. Time passed, came, and gone by. The wolves sometimes mock the stories. They forgot about most of their gods and goddesses. However, there is a new rise in the number of wolves wanting to find treasure. Some just scoff at the idea and remain in their packs, with a bit of animosity still remembered from the times of wars against the other packs. They know their history, but are starting to forget. The gods and goddesses are bored again. What will they play this time?[/blockquote] +Good Staff. +New Site. +Active Members. +Good plot line. +High ranks still available. SILVER SKY |
