The Magical Leaf community is an multi-genre site that wants to house tons of long-term roleplayers. We hunt for fresh, new members to create the most diverse roleplay community. All of us have had to have seen an episode of Pokémon or more. We have all watched (or a huge portion of us) have seen one of the Pokémon movies, or them all. Talk about them here and compare them. Tell how both are good, bad, or just plain have no reason to exist. Talk about favorite episodes, hated ones, the whole mix. Rant about them here to us all, and remember to use spoiler tags. |

Okay. You know what seriously annoys me? That Dawn's Piplup is totally copying Pikachu! D= I don't have a problem with Dawn, at least I won't bring that up at the moment, but I'm shocked that the writers of Pokemon don't have anything interesting or unique to do with Piplup other than make it like Pikachu. -.- They totally ruined the 'Pikachu is totally different than all the other Pokmeon' by making Piplup the same. I mean, what the heck? It really just makes me mad that they would reuse the same idea with some random new Pokemon. x/ And also the fact that they bring that noob Brock for every region, but they drop Misty after Johto! I mean, I couldn't care less if they use another voice actress! I just want the character! Heck, I'll do her voice. C'mon, people. >< Anyways, that's my input. |

but...but...but... i like brock...... and piplup is different. it's..... um... how do you describe it... piplup is... i can't get the right words. but piplup acts totally different... if that's what you mean anyway but i totally agree. misty should come back. but i do think that that girl from the summer academy in the sinnoh region would be cute with ash. *hopes zelda won't eat her alive* |

xD I'm sorry! I like Brock too, but it annoys me that they keep one and ditch the other. ;-; I don't mind Piplup, but I really hate that it doesn't like being in the Pokeball like Pikachu... And I don't think it's very common that Pokemon will fight tooth and nail to stay out of their Pokeball.. O_o I always expected Pokeballs to be a little haven different to each Pokemon. Like, a little forest with a lake for Marill, or a nice, dark cave for Zubats... I know my Pokeball would be a movie theater.. And a computer in there, too. xD Huh? You mean the girl with super short hair? Eh. Not as cute as him with Misty. ;D |

I like Brock too. xD I named my doggie Brock. :3 And I haven't watched the show in so long. Maybe I'll watch it next- -sees date- ... Saturday. ;^; Poopy, I wanted to see it today. Stupid memory failure. D< -headdesks- -cough- ^^;; But anyways, it's worth watching, right? |

I think Pokémon passed the amount of creative ideas eons ago. xD I'm still amazed they can think of semi-new things all the time. Brock is so boring. Discard him already! Okay, fine, I did like him in everything before Houen - but he is so /bland/ after that. Same character, same ideas. Not much different than Ash, but Ash does make some character development, if it's not just alone in the movies. Brock, the same character and way too repeated with a new batch of clothes and Pokémon. The gag with him liking nearly every girl is old now - really old, likee Team Rocket's blasting off. TR's failures are more welcomed through and have more interest to them (even though you always know it's coming). I just don't think they know how to replace him. Add another guy, or something! I know there is something else, some other guy character that needs to be made. Or, yes, bring Misty back. Maybe there is till something with her VA - I really don't know. She has been gone too long. Maybe they just want to make Zelda angry and keep Dawn there forever. And make the Dawn x Ash relationship REALITY. -coughs- ^^ For Piplup, I don't think it's that odd to have him out of his Poké Ball and wanting to run free. It's like Sparky to Richie, Togepi to Misty, or Meowth to Team Rocket (though I don't think he has a Poké Ball). Maybe its not really mimicing Pikachu, but seems like it at times. It's probably because Pikachu and Piplup are both strong and loyal, the same qualities. I imagine the Poké Balls to be dark and just hold the Pokémon without mercy. xD Sorry for being bleak, but that's how I've seen it. If it was its own little habitant then Pokémon wouldn't need food or Water-types wouldn't need to get into water all the time. Like I remember Misty's Horsea needed to really get into some better water in some episode. Or it could just be a temporary, imaginative place and they still need those things realistically to survive. I just have to say this. -pokes Zelda- Zelda has a girlxgirl pairing in Pokémon? xD I need to see a picture of this girl, I don't think I saw that school place. And it depends on what seaon you want to watch, Elite-chan. x3 |

Yeah, Brock is getting a little boring. I think they should replace Ash. o.o Actually, I want everyone to be replaced. xD Things are getting too predictable. It's time for change. *^* And I'm kinda wondering what they'll do when they go back to Johto for HeartGold and SoulSilver. Are they gonna have Ash battle all the gym leaders AGAIN or do will they have Dawn do what May did in Kanto... AGAIN. >.> I seriously don't see how they're going to make this work *well* without replacing the old main characters. =/ I don't see why Misty wouldn't be brought back. A voice actor shouldn't be a problem since her voice should have changed with all the time that's passed. I doubt most of the people watching Pokemon these days would even know that her voice actor was changed. xP Plus she has tons of adoring fans. xD And isn't Ash, like, 16/17? I don't think it's even legal for him to be with Dawn. xD I always thought that the Pokemon kinda shrunk to a size to fit in the PokeBall. And it would just kinda sit in there and stare out. I'm pretty sure the red top of the PokeBall is semi-transparent. At least, that's how my toy PokeBall was. xD And it was like that in Pokemon Adventures, even though that's not officially from Pokemon. That would explain how trainers could know what Pokemon they throw into battle even though all the PokeBalls look the same. @.@ I found a picture of that girl. Her name's Angie/Aoi, I think. http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/pokemon/images/5/55/Shinx_and_Aoi.jpg She looks like a character I'd like. xD PS- Is Bugsy (Azalea Town, Johto Gym Leader) a guy or a girl? o.O I never could tell. xD |

I've been watching Pokemon since I was five. Hey, I even collect the cards, for Pete's Sake. And I agree, they need to change up the characters some, at least mature Brock a little. Or replace him with Tracy. Definitely bring Misty back. I think you need to see this picture though, look: Have you guys heard Misty's Song? If you haven't, you need to if you like MistyxAsh. May can have Drew and Dawn can go find a guy her own age as far as I'm concerned. Or is her guy Paul? I can't remember which one Paul is from. PS - I believe Bugsy is a guy. Not so sure myself now that I think about it, I'd have to go play Silver or Gold again, but I'm reasonably sure Bugsy is a guy. Edited by Akeela_Pyro, Nov 11 2009, 11:11 AM.
