You sickos. j/k) Dislikes: Teams, losing (but she’ll take a defeat, she’s not a sore loser), your face, sore losers, cocky cowardly weaklings, wierdos, contest freaks, boring things Physical Appearance: She has faded navy hair that is cut short and flips out in many directions. Her eyes are a silver color, with a permanent piercing effect. Her skin is slightly tan, but she’s still pretty pale. (was sick for a few months, and thus loss of skin pigment) She’s got some muscle for her extreme training techniques. No one can mistake her for a boy now, unless they’re blind or stupid. She doesn’t put too much in her appearance though. She takes care of herself just enough to gain respect, not some lover. A black leather jack adorns her body. Her staple top is an electric blue tank top, which switches out for a green sweater in the winter weather. Black jeans with a familiar purple zigzag going down the legs has pokeball belt (currently empty) ready to go. For functional feet, she wears brown combat boots. Also, she has a pair of burnt orange goggles atop her head. Personality: Sylvia's quite the card. Usually she avoids human interaction. It takes away from her training time, but beyond that she's talkative, and sociable in her own little way. She's not shy at all. She'll talk to you if you initiate the conversation, or she finds you interesting. She isn't biased toward anyone. However she does get annoyed by arrgoant weaklings, people who take contests way to seriously, and others she deems as 'odd' after talking to them. She can come off as a showy offy jerk herself, to which her only reply is: " At least I got the skills to back it up." Yeah, she's working on that. I swear she's nice. She craves a good challenge more than anything. If she finds you tough, prepare for a rivalry. She treats her rivals with respect along with most everybody else; just on different degrees. Tough challenges fuel her desire to topple her greatest rival, her step brother. Ask to many questions about him however, and you will get blacklisted. Underneath her rough and rumble exterior is a loyal soul. If she likes you, she won't slight you. The occasional 'for your own good' slap does make it appearance from time to time. She’s not interested in finding anyone special right now, however. She's out to train and better herself. That’s not to say she can't fall for soemone. It'll just be hard because her mind is elsewhere. She'll be more open to that later; after she defeats some really strong people. Right now she wants challenges and recovery. She's more open to friendship than she ever was. Thankfully, she's trying not revert to her habitual state: Mean and introverted. Her attitude is under reconstruction, so take it or leave it. History/Background: Sylvia's birth is of no consequence. She was born. Two years later her parent mysteriously vanished, and then found murdered. It turned out they were pokemorphs, targeted by a hired assassin. She holds no death grudge over it. When she was four she was adopted by a woman who desperately wanted a little girl. Her husband and son welcomed her into their home. She lived 4 happy years there. Then things went south again. Her family, always being the public eyes because of their social status was a target. The team responsible was unknown. Her mother was poisoned at a high class dinner. Her father, following his wife's wishes and wanting to be alone and heal, sent his son off on his pokemon journey, and Sylvia off to an isolated pokemon boarding school. She felt alone, confused and betrayed. Still, her love of her step-brother kept her hope alive. She kept thinking that "Stevie would come." 3 years passed. He didn't. It wasn't his fault, he was busy. He was climbing the ladder of success. In the meantime Sylvia consoled herself by making friends with a small aron, one of the school's rentals. Finally when she turned twelve she made her mind up. She was breaking out of this place. She needed a plan. She had made friends with one of the teachers there. He had promised her that he would make aron officially hers when she turned thirteen. That was too long a time to wait. After weeks of prep, she stole out of her room. Leaving some of her monthly living allowance, she snagged some supplies. Then she sneaked into her teacher’s room. Leaving an apology note on his desk, she then made her way towards where they kept aron. This was the hairy part. The alarm went off as soon as she laid on finger on his ball. She needed to get out of there, fast. With the help of her partner she barely made it into the wilderness beyond the school's gates. The years that followed were filled with hate, determination, and inner conflict; her darkest years. She found out her brother was one of the most successful trainers of all time. Her father's business was flourishing. Feeling of betrayal reared their head as she made a solemn vow. She would defeat her brother in front of her father, no matter the cost. She became bitterly introverted, and lashed out at most anyone who came near her. She devoted herself to extreme training methods. She became a mercenary, crushing trainer and their spirits in battle, just before a tournament or contest. Then she saw her brother on TV. Other events then followed that snapped her out of it. She just took a look at herself and saw something scary. She saw that she was weaker than ever before. Her lifestyle and bitterness were just holding her back. Her past was holding her back. Her hatred was holding her back. She was holding herself and her pokemon back, and that was unacceptable. She took some time off to meditate over this. Then she let go. It wasn't easy, of course. It took several months of breakdowns to vent it all out of her system, but she has let most of it go. After that, she took her pokemon on vacation. Though she didn't go crazy with it. Sylvia was still Sylvia, and though her training methods had lighten up a bit; she still stuck with a tough schedule. Then she got to planning. Leaving her pokemon in very capable hands, the ones of her former teacher, she set out for moonforest to start anew. Her goal of defeating her brother was still there, but it wasn't as personal as it once was. Her personal demons, however, may still be present.Starting fresh, and letting the past go are not easy to do for creatures of habit. Humans are creatures of habit. Change is almost never welcomed, and her battle is just beginning. Other: Sylvia has her moments. She may suddenly become bitter or mean. She'll feel terrible about it afterwards, but her personality will try to resist giving an apology. Don't feel wronged if this happens and all she gives is a sorry.
