Moon Forest Basic Guidelines - Moon Forest is a region that is lively, large, in the middle of an ocean, and very nature-friendly. If anything one can call it a very enormous island that's surrounded by a pure, sparkling blue ocean. The very terrain suggests to its name in the crescent moon-shaped landscape, and tends to be a place that only loves the land. Several hours are devoted to recropping the land and making sure its nutrition is by the abundance, while the sky above holds the softest clouds that won't fall. People in the region have the tendancy to talk in the normal breezy, curious accent that the region is know for like its weather that can turn rabid in a heartbeat. It's somewhere to be suspected very far away from currently known regions. Moon Forest is a Pokémon journey community. We provide for everyone to chat, roleplay through the region, and have fun. Many people will skim these types of communities and have a basic understanding of what they are, but sometimes it is important to explain the idea to those who are not as familiar with them. Journey sites are those that players travel through the land setup to them and usually start at a lab to get their first starter Pokémon. Our first starting point is Port Senna and then to Professor Cherrywood's Laboratory. After that a trainer follows the rest of the landscapes, catch Pokémon, meet new trainers, and watch the Moon Forest plot as it grows. We try very hard to make each one of the places easy and interesting to go through so each place will standout on its own. Current Staff: Administrators: Basset, Holmes, Sarah, Sarin Manager Moderators: none Hawk Moderators: Kodii Pokémon & Area Monitors: none Advertisers: none characters- Breeders, coordinators, explorers and travelers, PokéMorphs, team members, trainers, and watchers are all eligible to enter the region. But there are restrictions to keep things regulated. breeders- ---Can use a breeded Pokémon as their Starter, but it must be confirmed as a status as Common in Moon Forest (check with a staff member). Either be only a breeder in general, or be a resident of Moon Forest, or both. ---You can breed two different genders of the same Pokémon you caught as they match, or with someone else. PokéMorphs- ---No PokéMorph legendaries. ---Cannot perform powerful attacks. Can only have the basic ones for the Pokémon they are. Like Scratch, Growl, Sand Attack, ect. ---Hybrids are fine, but up to three species. ---Cannot be caught by other trainers. Pokémon- ---No legendaries to be brought in. ---Pokemon that your character owned before as theirs or family cannot be brought. ---No shinies or discoloreds are allowed at the moment. team members- Nothing yet. trainers- ---Cannot come into Moon Forest with any Pokémon from other regions. They must start fresh. ---When they come into Moon Forest, or even are just there to start, they are not famous. staff powers- Staff members can only make Pokémon, items, money, or others objects to appear, and another staff member must do the same for another. Take what we give you, don't ask for what you only want. They also must tell you when a Pokémon raises a level and/or what you get after the battle for a Pokémon. If they do not and the correct conditions for any needs are gotten, then please inform them. Edited by Super Professor Sarah-nyan, Jul 18 2009, 03:59 PM.

FAQ - The FAQ will be placed here. If you have any questions that are not covered by any of the other explanations of the community, this is the place to look. If your answer is not here, please ask on the Suggestions & Questions board. Make sure to add "MF -" before the rest of your title so we're aware it's about Moon Forest and not the rest of The Magical Leaf. FAQ Questions: Q; I like Moon Forest, but I'm not really sure how it works or how to make a journey. How do I do it? A; All you have to start with is to make a character. Check here for more about making characters and the Moon Forest Q; When do you update your Starters in the Lab? They're never updated when there's a couple left. Also, I don't like the current Starters. Please use some I want.. A; This has become too common of a demand. We update them as soon as all of the current ones are out of stock. You just have to be lucky to get there when the fresh batch is introduced. There are rarer ones, but you need referral points to be able to grab them. We don't want a bunch of people asking for cute little things like Vulpixes and Pikachus. They are lovable, but it's just not right to change them for one person. Picking a Pokémon you never thought of using is a good experience. If you really hate your Starter than ditch them and use better Pokémon as you go through Moon Forest. Not recommended, but it's your character's journey and how you want to roleplay. But you never know, you could grow attached as time continues. Q; What's this about an old forum? Why did you make a new forum? A; We had plenty of members, but over half of them were dead or rarely online. The Moon Forest staff wanted to start fresh, so now we've redone the community twice. So there were three versions of Moon Forest first, but then it was moved to The Magical Leaf. The owner of both sites, Sarah, thought it would be easier to manage and be more interesting that way. We have grown a lot since our beginning, and still strive to grow even larger. The first two versions were deleted but the thrird version can be found by clicking here. Moving to The Magical Leaf is the last, permanent move of Moon Forest. Edited by Super Professor Sarah-nyan, Jul 18 2009, 08:24 PM.

plot- history- Throughout the generations Moon Forest has been prone to war, though they avoid it in modern day after a sore and wretching past. The foundation of war had been the main turning point to the creation of the region's government and beliefs. It became one of the leading crafts diligently worked on to perfection, and lead to the discovery of many strange weaponry and devoted order to the region's society. Much of its land is dependent on making healthy food for themselves, and several farmers are devoted to the artful peace of keeping their harvests rich and hearty. Not only do they fend for themselves but are a lead provider in overseas transportation of fresh fruits and vegetables. There have been many disputes over their rule taken into considerate commendation by foreign region officials; some have even managed to ban the use or making of various weapons in the crescent moon region. Accomplishing these was a difficult task, but they resorted to denying Moon Forest any economic or political help in the future. Moon Forest, never truly acknowledging the trespass of meddlers to their handicrafts, did as the regionals said, but in heavy hearts removed their research from the surface. Many illegal laboratories still exist to this day hidden throughout the landscape that create massive and unstable elements. Only the top nobles and steeds know where and how, providing the excellent disguise of being one of the region's wealthy hounds. Moon Forest had been innocent enough in the early days of survival. When early confirmation was known of other regions settling into their own developing mannerisms, the forests of this land still lazed in paradise, alone. Pokémon weren't confirmed to live here in those early days, either, but there could have been ones as the legendaries who hide in the deep mists. The lands had been exquisitely fertile, as they still train out to be, and there were always farmers in bountiful loads piling into Moon Forest when people began arriving. As most civilizations there are hardly any records to how exactly the region was formed, or by whom, but the most revered story is that of ones relating to the moon. Moonlight Needles, or "tear droplets the moon cries," is one of the best bedtime tales to tell. Moonlight Needles have the potential to be any element in existence, blend into their environment by the color they possess, or control the source of power that streams throughout them to keep their presence known or not. They form all of humanity with a signal touch, fixated with personalities and desires of their own. But nowhere other than Moon Forest produced these purified feelings, the light-hearted sense of power, or animosity that these needles radiated. The sweet sensation of the kinder elements, and the blunt cruelty of the intenser ones, drew any type of soul to them; mostly people who had a higher compatibility with that element than someone else. As the name suggests, they were said to fall from the moon's surface from a meteor attack before humans or Pokémon entered the region. Thus, they plummeted to the atmosphere of the Earth, breaking through like bright multi-hued shooting stars in the night sky. The strange idea was was that they were completely pure of any type of element until they landed upon the Earth. As seasons passed they were hidden within mountains, sand, dirt, and other materials until they grew and faded to the enviornment they perched upon, storing the energy from for away and from the core of the Earth. Perhaps the reason people came to this secluded, and eerily plant-infested, land was because it seemed like the perfect spot to begin a search of something exotic. This is exactly what the Moonlight Needles prove to tell. But since this faraway land had been uncharted, far out in the sea where no one would be able to find it in small rowboats, there hadn't been a discovery until the faint legends began. Will be continued. Edited by Super Professor Sarah-nyan, Jul 18 2009, 04:07 PM.

NPCs - NPC (Non-Player Characters) will be listed here for members to see. Lefylon Grass Gym Leader: Profile: Name- Ivy Age- 19 Appearance- or ![]() Personality- Ivy is cool and collected, anticipation and agitation not common. She lets insults and jeers bounce off her and lets her Pokemon do the talking. Battle Style- Her battle style is very forward, using mostly offensive attacks. She usually doesn't use any potions or special items during her battles unless she's having fun, but usually being a gym leader is pretty routine for her. Pokémon- Badge: ![]() Name: Flora Badge Badge Descripiton: The Flora badge captures the beauty between land and sea, all in a small shiny pin. Basically, the badge depicts a conch shell mimicking a flower with two leaves. (One on the top right corner, and one on the bottom left.) Atop the conch is a small flower, representing the native flora that give the badge its name. The badge comes in two color schemes, one for male trainers and one for females. The male badge has a sand colored conch with a pink flower, while the female badge is a pink shell with a purple flower. Both represent the diversity in color that the shores of Seabreeze Ridge has. The badges are made from the finest shells that are found upon the shores. The pearly insides of actual conches are dyed and used for the shell on the badge, giving it a smooth texture. The leaves, though made out of shell as well, have ridges carved into them where the veins should be. With an organic composition and beautiful sheen, the Seabreeze Ridge gym badge is not only sought after for the Pokemon league. But for it's beauty as well. (Badge made by Church.) Gain, Battle, Level, & Evolve: gaining- In Moon Forest, a wide range of Pokémon reside mostly anywhere. Maybe they could be in a river, on top of a mountain, or resting in a forest. Characters will be plummeted through the obstacles and shown many of them. Some you may run into and some you may not, but in all, you will be rewarded in the end. Catching Pokémon is to be an experience recorded by what type and ideals that you have in mind. Even if you have other plans for them than regular, go for it. Pokémon can be found on routes, cities, caves, and more - mini plots may even be involved to get them or prizes. Look everywhere for the companions for your characters; you never know where they could be. Not finding that place immediately isn't a problem at all. Just continue further in the world of Moon Forest, and if you find the place that may have your targeted Pokémon. Lure them with food, and use the right Poké Ball! -level/battle- Battling and leveling are very important: Both can help lead learning new strategies and various forms of abilities for your Pokémon. It's simple to level. We have a method called "Level Raisers." All you do is add up numbers that you get to ten from battling other Pokémon along the way.and the Pokémon raises a level. Look at the scale below for what you get if the levels are weaker, draw, and higher. Lower: 3 Draw: 4 Higher: 5 You need to acquire 10/10 to get to the next level, and then start at 0/10 for the next. If you lose a battle then the Pokémon give in LRs, based on the levels are weaker, draw, and higher. Lower: 1 Draw: 2 Higher: 3 System counts for newly caught wilds, as well. Moves: Only four moves are allowed in Moon Forest currently for battle. Pick them wisely and make sure they fit the Pokémon's purpose. Machines count and can be used at any time if had. The learning a move scenario will be presented to you if there's four moves already, but the Pokémon will learn a move naturally if there's room. Each move should be used accurately to the most recent PokéDex. We will try to keep them in check ourselves, but say if you see an error. Special Abilities: Each Pokémon are unique in the abilities they can share. Only one is allowed. Attacks/Items: The Pokémon is only allowed to use one battle item on one Pokémon per turn, and it also counts as the attack. If you wish to use combination attacks it's fine, but don't anymore. evolution- After tireless battles your companions will be tuckered. But what happens when they get enough experience points and reach the critical level? They may endure the mystical wonder that is called "evolution." Evolution is where a bright white light engulfs the Pokémon and transforms it into something new - where also a name can be prized upon it. Many ideals can make evolution happen and not, and they work here pretty basically. cause evolution: Stones; Just some locks can't be opened until you have the special key, and that's exactly what this is: a stone is to be held next to a Pokémon so its evolving properties will place in. There's a number of these random stones, and you must know which stone will fit for what Pokémon when. Happiness; Do you give your Pokémon a special snack every day, tell it that it did well in its battles, or help it grow in skill? Depending on your relationship with your Pokémon, they may evolve or not. If the ultimate happiness is sustained, then your job is then to watch the companion evolve. Something more will be added in the future. hinder evolution- Everstone; Can't bare to part with your pal? An Everstone should be equipped as your Pokémon's Hold Item to prevent it from evolving if you don't wish it to. Edited by Sarin, May 31 2009, 05:39 PM.

karma & referral system- Since Moon Forest also needs a bit of help to recruit new members, we're going to tie in kamra points and referrals to gain characters and rare starters in the lab. Once you get the right amount of points they'll be usable, and will be erased after use. karma- Just add karma points to a person you think has done a good deed and deserves it. Try not to abuse the system by giving over five karma a day. If you want more karma help out a new or confused member, make someone something (a trainer card, pixel birthday cake, etc.), or help resolve issues and break up fights. Things to avoid are to be rude or laugh at new and confused members, disobey and talk back to a staff member, or make and encourage fights and disputes. - Rare starter: 20 karma points - New character: 30 karma points people with points- none at the moment referrals- As you advertise and spread the word about the forum, make sure they know who's referring them. Use the forum ads located in the Advertise & Affiliate board.. - 10 members - a rare starter - 20 members - a new character people with points- Basset (1) Edited by Basset, Jun 17 2009, 05:28 PM.

contents- The posts below are for as follows for your Pokémon: -Gain -Battle -Level -Evolve Staff members will not keep track of your Pokémon's mini profiles (history of your Pokémon to add with your character) for you and add-on. Things that will be explained next will have to be added to that mini profile or how things should work in Moon Forest. This is your job, so it is essential for you to keep track of each of your Pokémon's stats as you go along, because it will keep you in check. A basic layout will be given once you catch a Pokémon, but the rest is for you to fill out or wait to be. For made-up Pokémon information, please check their own little profile, or ask the creator.
