One my more successful teams. I am hoping to improve it, seeing as it isn't perfect. Koffing (M) @ Lum Berry Ability: Levitate EVs: 36 HP/236 Def/196 SAtk Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Fire Blast - Thunderbolt - Will-o-wisp - Explosion A standard anti-lead Koffing. Lum lets it take a Hypnosis from Meowth, a TWave/Burn from whoever or whatever status. WoW lets it burn opposing physical leads that think they can take it down. Fire Blast and Thunderbolt give it some good offensive power, while Explosion lets it KO an enemy and allow me a free switch-in. --- Croagunk (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Dry Skin EVs: 188 Atk/116 Spd/188 SAtk Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def) - Nasty Plot - Earthquake - Vacuum Wave - Sucker Punch Mixed Croagunk is great. With EQ it OHKO's Elekid, a significant threat to this team. With NP Vacuum Wave it can deal with a multitude of threats, while Sucker Punch deals with pesky ghosts. All credit goes to Kannon for giving me this incredible set. --- Gastly (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 116 Def/196 Spd/196 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Energy Ball - Thunderbolt - Sludge Bomb - Shadow Ball Gastly's superb 20 SAtk and 25 Spd let it tear through unprepared teams. Sludge Bomb is significantly more powerful than Shadow Ball and lets it rack up a good number of KO's it ordinarily wouldn't have. Shadow Ball hits other ghosts SE, while Energy Ball has great coverage on things like Chinchou, Rhydon, and Cranidos and TBolt deals with other Waters. It also adds a useful Ground immunity even after Koffing is gone, so Gligar won't shit all over your team. --- Grimer (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Sticky Hold EVs: 116 HP/196 Atk/156 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Explosion - Shadow Sneak - Gunk Shot - Fire Punch Grimer, while slow, gets to a fairly high attack score. Fire Punch gets nice coverage on things like Bronzor, Shadow Sneak hits ghosts, while Gunk Shot gets STAB and has massive BP as it is, in exchange for shitty accuracy. Explode when you're done. --- Stunky (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Aftermath EVs: 252 Atk/244 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Crunch - Explosion - Sucker Punch/Pursuit - Protect Stunky may not get any coverage, but it has a Psychic immunity and Ghost resist. Currently I'm debating Sucker Punch or Pursuit, since Sucker Punch lets it outspeed and KO Ghosts, but Pursuit hits them on the way out. Protect for scouting, and Explosion for win. Abra hates Pursuit, but everything else dislikes Sucker Punch. --- Venonat (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Compoundeyes EVs: 196 HP/78 Atk/236 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Sleep Powder - Agility - Baton Pass - Bug Bite Since Stunky and Grimer aren't very fast, Venonat attempts to rectify this. With its amazingly accurate Sleep move, Venonat is the best speed-passer in the game. --- Edited by Vader, Nov 2 2008, 12:36 AM.

At a glance... Explosion is always fun on ScarfGast and one of the main reasons to use it over Missey, maybe over Tbolt or Energy Ball? Venonat could use Focus Sash pretty well to give you a guaranteed block to setup sweepers so long as you keep SR away, talking of SR Koffing can use taunt to stop lead Bronzor from setting it or any screens up.... how often is W-o-W more useful than its other moves? |

The problem with Mono-Poison is that Scarfed Abra pretty much 100% runs straight through this team, if you don't put Sucker Punch everywhere you can. |

He's got a little protection against Scarf Abra (Croagunk, Stunky)... Gastly needs Explosion to not be outclassed by Misdreavus.. what exactly is Energy Ball for anyway? Also HP Fighting > Sludge Bomb. |

yeah, scarf abra is rare anyway with murkrow and bronzor the top 2 or something and he's got 2 sucker punchers anyway / shadow sneak . cool team but perhaps tentacool would be worth a try here since Scarf Eruption cydaquil or something like magby could cause problems. and it would scare off a random rhyhorn trying to rock polish after koffing booms. |

Boom over bolt. (the only waters that energy ball is neutral that bolt is supereffective in lc, is Wingull iirc) And as for suggesting hp fighting, he wanted STAB and neutral coverage over supereffective coverage. Sorry if I double-posted. Edited by Pika25, Nov 2 2008, 01:51 PM.

Tentacool>Grimer, maybe? As for Explosion, I think I'm better off replacing TBolt, since there's no such thing as a Grass immune, whereas there are immunes to Ghost, Normal, Electric, and Poison. Bronzor gives me some problems without Grimer, but Scarfbra gets free Psychic through my whole team without Stunky. |

please be careful that the thread you post in isn't dead or if it is dead that you have something useful information, usually an update for an analysis. I admire your enthusiasm but check the date before you post. |
