Well, I'm new to the forums, and felt like posting my team for opinions. It will most likly stink, but it is my first. So here is a sneak peak: _________________________________________________________________________________ Venonat@Focus Sash Jolly|Compoundeyes 196 Hp, 78 Atk, 236 Spd ~Agility ~Baton Pass ~Sleep Powder ~Bug Bite/Substitute Venonat is a questionable poke. He's great, but most of the team is already fast/has priority. Will be testing, but for now, he's in. Most likely replacements: Gligar/Meowth/Koffing. Misdreavus@Salac berry Timid|Levitate 240 Sp. Atk, 240 Spd ~Substitute ~Calm mind ~Shadow Ball ~Hidden Power Fighting Special Sweeper. She subs on the switch, and either Calm minds, or if slower than opponet, Subs untill Salac Activates. Murkrow@Life Orb Hasty|Insomnia 156 Atk, 156 Sp. atk, 188 Spd ~Pluck ~Sucker Punch ~Hidden Power Fighting ~Substitute Well, with 85/85/91 stats, why not use him? HP Ice as an option just for other Murkrows and Gigar. Munchlax@Oran Berry Sassy|Thick Fat 236 HP, 36 Def, 236 Sp. Def ~Return ~Earthquake ~Fire Punch ~Protect Special Wall. Bronzor @ Oran Berry Sassy|Levitate 220 Hp, 4 Atk, 148 Def, 68 Sp. Def Ivs:0 Spd ~Stealth Rock ~Gyro Ball ~Earthquake ~Reflect Physical Wall. It's there, just because it's awsome. Reflect is just more useful for my team right now. Eevee@Life Orb Adamant|Adaptability 156 Hp,236 Attack, 36 Def, 76 Spd ~Return ~Bite ~Quick Attack ~Iron Tail Eh, Right now, he's questinable, but for now, he'll stay. Awsome attack, but not so much anything else. The evs let it survive a Murkrow's Sucker Punch Graveyard:
So thats my team. The main problem I see is a major Murkrow weakness. What should i do to fix it? Please help! Edited by EeveeUser5, Oct 18 2008, 01:35 AM.

Try out Venonat for agility passing lead, with Sleep Powder+Compoundeyes its one of the best. Oran is better in most situations on Munchlax (like switching in on Staryu's Surf and not getting 2KOd) even with Protect. For Eggy there are legality problems with Wish ~Wish + Leech Seed, ~Wish + Stun Spore, ~Wish + PoisonPowder, ~Wish + Sleep Powder, ~Wish + Confusion; are illegal. Also Eggy is not a brilliant Wall, more of a bulky sweeper. It has a few resistances but a lot of weaknesses, if you want a wall try something else, but you don't really need a wall. Maybe put a scarfer over Eggy? Machop? Staryu? Gastly? Diglett? I don't know but it would be nice to have something to block stat boost sweepers if Krow goes down. Or maybe something to keep other Murkrows away.. Reflect/SR/Gyro Ball/EQ Bronzor? |

I'd make Eevee Life Orbed so you don't get walled by ghost types. tbh, I don't think Venomat helps you much here, you have fast sweepers and your sweepers are fast or have priority. I'd recommend Gligar over Venomat as it gives you extra protection against fighting types whilst add some offense if you choose swords dance or agility. Welcome to the LCF

You should always max HP on Bronzor, since it has impressive defenses as is, but mediocre HP. Using the standard spread is better in this case: EVs: 220 HP / 4 Atk / 148 Def / 68 SpD and Sassy nature With this, you get a more effective mixed wall, as well as a slightly stronger offense. Hope you enjoy your LCing! |

Murkrow would much rather have a 156 Atk/156 SAtk/188 Spe spread with Sucker Punch/Pluck/Sub/Dark Pulse or HP Fight. Other than that I don't see too many problems. Eevee's too slow to be all that effective as a CBer, I'd suggest the EndFlail set with Flail/Quick Attack/Endure/Bite or Iron Tail @ Salac |

Dixie, Life orb is great, my only problem is that Eevee has a minimum of 21 Hp, and 19 is needed for life orb to do 1 damage. If I take a sucker punch, then Eevee would faint just to killing Murkrow, and perventing me to sweep. But I see how it does free up Eevee, so I will use it for now. Also, I'll think about Gilgar, who now looks tempting. @Vader, Thanks for the Evs! @Kannon- I understand that pluck is used alot, since Oran Berry is the most used Item, but wouldn't Drill peck be better? Also, the main point of the team, is to pass Agility to Eevee, and let him sweep. Plus the Endure-Flail set may work well, It doesn't really appeal to me. Also, thanks for the evs! |

Choice Band pass to Eevee is bad for a few reasons. The main problem is that the Adaptability boost, its most appealing factor, isn't usable unless you've scouted and killed the ghosts(s) that are almost sure to be on the opposing team. Using Bite as a response is irrational, since Eevee'll probably use Return due to the enormous power, which is rendered useless by a Ghost switch-in. Worse yet, Eevee loses the speed boost on the switch-out. Pluck>Drill Peck on Murkrow almost all of the time. With almost everything packing an Oran Berry, Murkrow will not only get the benefit of it, but remove it from the opponent, severely crippling some Pokemon. The drop in power isn't that bad without a Berry, still KOing things it hits SE. Munchlax want Fire Punch>Pursuit. It hits the Ghosts almost as hard if they choose not to switch out and hits Bronzor SE, who otherwise wells you shitless. With Krow, you want Substitute over Pursuit, since Pursuit is a free switch-in to anything that feels like it can kill you. With Sub, you can easily hide and Sucker Punch anything you want to hell. HP Fighting is far superior to HP Ice, since it hits Shieldon and Aron 4x SE, and they wall you otherwise. Venonat, while a solid Agility-passer, doesn't really add much to your team. Bar Eevee, everything on your team functions pretty damn well without a speed boost. Murkrow and Misdreavus doesn't really need more speed, while Munchlax and Bronzor are too slow for it to matter if they do get a speed-up. Perhaps the best lead in the game is Meowth, who can Technician Fake-Turn, NP+Swift+Technician, or many other excellent functions. Koffing is also a great lead, who can blow himself up if necessary while still supporting the team and damaging opposing leads. |
