Trying too many different things? Maybe, maybe not. Little cup has always appealed to me, but there’s much less info about in on internet, so I don’t know much about it. I started making a team anyway. I thought trying a Trick Room team would be good, partly because I made a Trick Room team before, for standard play. When I had 3 party members assembled, I noticed that all three were sandstorm-resistant. I decided to add Hippopotas, and Lileep. Result? Team at a glance: Bronzor @ Oran Berry Levitate 220 HP / 4 Atk / 148 Def / 68 SpD Relaxed ~ Trick Room ~ Gyro Ball ~ Stealth Rock ~ Earthquake This is pretty straightforward. It sets up Trick Room. I don’t really know what to do if I encounter something with Taunt, though. Porygon @ Oran Berry Download 236 SpA / 236 HP Quiet ~ Trick Room ~ Shadow Ball ~ Thunderbolt ~ Ice Beam Boltbeam + Shadow Ball for coverage. My second thing to set up Trick Room. Also the only thing that doesn’t like the sandstorm, but I don’t think it will be a huge problem. Hippopotas @ Oran Berry Sand Stream 212 HP / 212 Def / 20 SpD / 20 Atk Relaxed ~ Earthquake ~ Roar ~ Ice Fang ~ Slack Off This sets up the sandstorm. I don’t really mind if this doesn’t come into the game early, because everything besides Lileep functions just fine without it. Other then that, it looks a lot like its big brother. Trapinch @ Choice Band Arena Trap 196 Atk / 156 HP / 76 Def / 76 SpD Brave ~ Earthquake ~ Crunch ~ Hidden Power [Ice] ~ Rock Slide Trick Room’s Diglett. With Trick Room, nothing outslows it except Munchlax (I think). Unfortunately, its movepool is as empty as a vacuum. This is literally the only option. Magnemite @ Life Orb Magnet Pull 236 SpA / 156 SpD / 36 Def Quiet ~ Flash Cannon ~ Thunderbolt ~ Hidden Power [?] ~ Explosion I think these EVs give it 19 HP, making it a great candidate for using Life Orb. I don’t know what to do with Hidden Power. Lileep @ Oran Berry Suction Cups 228 HP / 140 SpD / 140 Def Sassy ~ Toxic ~ Stockpile ~ Recover ~ Stealth Rock Not really sure about this. Basically the same as her mommy, but with an abysmal attack (base 41). Also the only thing that doesn’t function well without a sandstorm. Edit: this is out as soon as I have replacement. Attack stats are less dramatic in Little Cup, so base 41 is actually workable. Always max HP on Broznor before defenses, as his HP is much lower than them. For Magnemite, Substitute, Explosion (does he get it?), or Metal Sound in Slot 4. I'd abandon the sand theme and use a Choice Band Munchlax over Lileep. Great Attack and Special Defense, less weaknesses, and lower Speed make Munchlax an awesome Trick Roomer compared to Lileep. Tanking NEVER works in Little Cup, as the metagame is horribly offensive. Lillep is doomed to fail. Trapinch has a few other attacks that suck less than Return in the last slot. Quick Attack beats out other priority users and lets you use him in a pinch outside of Trick Room. With no EVs and neutral nature, HP Ice might OHKO Gligar, so that's the option if you don't like Quick Attack. |

Will fix that.
Ah, good idea, I'll go with Explosion then.
I think I'll stick to the Sandstorm team. I know it may not be the best, but I like it. But okay, no Lileep. Maybe a bulky Rock type, Onix/Nosepass/Rhyhorn?
HP Ice seems like a good idea. According to Metalkid's calculator: Damage: 88.46% - 103.85% So with Stealth Rock that should do it. Thanks for the rate ^^ |

from the looks of this it looks like you get pwned by scarf mankey or machop, what do you have for one of them and reflect may be a good idea over one of bronzors attacks, I found it really useful for me and against me |

for bulky Rock, definitely go Rhyhorn. Onix is too fast and Nosepass is too weak. Rhyhorn is a powerful beast. |

Nosepass is by no means weak if you use the right set :/ Specs Nosepass hits most LC pokemon on their weaker defense anyways and is a totally awesome wall under sand. |

@ Beefy, I guess I'll just Revenge Kill them, unless you have a good solution. Also, which move do you suggest I take out? Because a Trick Room team has to be fast paced, it's just wasting turns if I set up Stealth Rock, Reflect, and Trick Room. Also, it's easier for something with Taunt to completely stop me. So Rhyhorn: Rhyhorn @ Choice Band ~ Earthquake ~ Stone Edge ~ Megahorn ~ Fire Fang or Nosepass: Nosepass @ Choice Specs Hidden Power [Rock] Earth Power Thunder Explosion Which one? I'll fix the EV's and natures when I decide which of the two I'll pick. |
