Meditite Meditite [SET] name: Choice Scarf move 1: Hi Jump Kick move 2: Psycho Cut move 3: Ice Punch move 4: Bullet Punch / Thunderpunch item: Choice Scarf nature: Jolly / Adamant evs: 118 HP / 196 Atk / 196 Spe [SET COMMENTS]
Probably Meditite's most common set, with a Scarf it can reach 22-24 speed coupled with an Attack stat of 26-28 and high powered STABs. This thing can outspeed + Scyther and has enough attack to 2KO Bronzor (92% chance) with a neutral attack. It has a nice backup STAB in Psycho Cut that stops the likes of Koffing from switching in and Ice Punch for Gligar.
[SET] name: Choice Band move 1: Hi Jump Kick move 2: Psycho Cut move 3: Bullet Punch move 4: Fake Out / Ice Punch item: Choice Band nature: Adamant evs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 76 Def [SET COMMENTS]
If you go for total max attack it reaches a stupid 42. This is enough to make even the weak Priority moves that it gets do serious damage, for instance Bullet Punch will 2KO Yanma 99% of the time, and always 1KO Sneasel. The less bulky sweepers don't have a chance.

Hi Jump Kick 1KOs normal (Max/Max no nature boost) Bronzor 100% of the time so really not much can stand in your way.
[SET] name: Non-Choice sweeper move 1: Hi Jump Kick move 2: Psycho Cut move 3: Ice Punch move 4: Bullet Punch / Fake Out item: Life Orb / Focus Sash nature: Adamant evs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 76 Def [SET COMMENTS]
If you want to be able to switch moves this is the set for you. It hits like the strongest CBers of OU (36 Attack!) but regains the ability to change moves. The moveset is simple and was explained in the previous set with the exception of the last slot, now that it is slower Priority becomes a must. Bullet Punch can be used repeatedly while Fake Out causes an auto flinch. You can use both but you will end up getting walled by something.
[Other Options]
A bulk up set sounds nice, but you will very rarely get much chance to set up without being forced straight out, and even if you do 16 max speed and a unSTABed 40 BP priority move is not enough to sweep with.

Rock Slide is a decent attack that can work well over Thunderpunch. Return is strong but generally one of your STAB moves should hit harder. Brick Break or Drain Punch are alternitives to Hi Jump Kick if you dislike the low acc and possible recoil.
[EVs]
Meditite needs 196 to max out both Attack and Speed leaving plenty spare, other than for the Scarf set Speed evs and Jolly do not help you outspeed much so they are lesser option when compared to giving your defences that little boost. If you max out attack then 196 HP / 76 Def gives you the best overall defences.
[Opinion]
Meditite has the highest attack of all LC Pokemon, and a good movepool to back it up. With Scarf it can fix its speed issues and become a very good revenge killer/sweeper, the CB set can break down any wall with correct prediction and the not choiced sweeper is very hard to handle.
[Counters]
Gligar is a great choice, taking only 38.46% - 46.15% from max attack CB Hi Jump Kick and 57.69% - 69.23% from max attack CB Psycho Cut (a 3KO 99.93% of the time with Oran) and being able to outspeed non scarf variants with little investment, however if you come in on an Ice Punch you will end up 1KO'd

Scyther and Yanma can both come in on Hi Jump Kick (taking 29.17% - 37.5% and 33.33% - 41.67% respectively from Max attack) but they must be wary because CB Psycho Cut always 1KOs Yanma and has a 33% chance of doing the same to Scyther, Ice Punch is a 1KO on both even without a boost and CB Bullet Punch can 2KO Yanma.
more to come Edited by eric the espeon, Aug 30 2008, 06:42 PM.

Yanma switches in on Bulk Up an OHKO's with Air Slash. The CB set works well with Bullet Punch and racks up great damage on almost anything.

BU is in other options, and it will stay there until someone proves its viable. Beefy, It can hit hard with Rock Slide or Ice Punch on the switch or as it survives with Sash. They can come in well on fighting attacks though. |

Choice Band should probably be moved up a bit in the order. It OHKOs everything in Little Cup with the right attack... |

hmmm, in Uber Feint can be useful, seeing as it can hit Yanma switch-ins. |

Surely Ice Punch or Rock Slide would be far better. |

Oh, after they have switched into a fighting attack? Well.. I suppose it could work but its not exactly the strongest move (50 BP Normal) and Medi is kinda pressed for moveslots. Probably OO worthy though. Edited by eric the espeon, Dec 30 2008, 08:40 PM.
