ME.. SMASH... PUNY... TRAINER!!!
Trying my hand at the fast-passed carnage that comes from Little Cup. Cubone takes the starring role in being the core of the team. I also deviled into a Trick Room plot since priority takes a massive roll in Little Cup. I'm also building it in hopes of taking on others in double battles, so obviously it is no Shoddy Team. This is my first team so I know it could probably use some help.

I am also wanting to avoid using a team full of what would be considered standard movesets. I of course welcome any moveset ideas, but creating trying something different is what I find exhilarating for me playing Pokemon, so I would hate to lose it thinking someone else may be doing the same as me. It's probably what has me enjoying Little Cup and Double Battles so much, they are rarely explored. And I do not mean to say I refuse to use them; I would rather try other ideas first.

Also, as a side note: I despise waisting time on breeding, especially if I want to use Hidden Power. So I do not limit myself from by averting myself away Pokesav, I just keep them legal. (The only "illegal" or not normally doable thing I get a guilty pleasure from is giving them different Poke Balls instead of the normal plain ones. And easy shinies are always fun.) This also makes changes to the team that much easier.

Recent Changes:
Misdreavus >>> Scarf Elekid >>> Murkrow
Smoochum >>> Krabby >>> Croagunk
Snover >>> Shuppet
Lickitung SD >>> Lickitung with SAtk

Own Thoughts:
Krabby seemed to be great, but a little redundant with Cubone around so Croagunk has taken his place bolster more priority moves and more Mix of Special and Physical about the team.

Overview:
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

----------SHUPPET------------ Open / Trick Room
Posted Image
Shuppet (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 244 HP / 236 Atk / 30 SDef
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spd)
-Trick Room
-Destiny Bond
-Taunt
-Shadow Sneak

This lil bugger can start the mind games early. Taunt to stop the opposing team from setting up making him somewhat of an anti-lead for weather teams using Bronzor to setup, or screw with Baton Passers. Destiny Bond to play mind games. Shadow Sneak to take priority no matter if Trick Room is up or not yet, and also packs a punch being a STAB and with him leaning heavy on Atk already.

----------MURKROW------------ Open / Physical Sweep / Trick Room Fail-Safe
Posted Image
Murkrow (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spd
Nature: Mild
-Taunt
-Sucker Punch
-Drill Peck
-Pursuit

My lead with Shuppet, Taunting away as well before Trick Room is up. Pursuit would not really be affected by Trick Room, making it great. Sucker Punch not caring as well. Drill Peck for any fighters feeling up to sticking around, and as a useful STAB. Pursuit works great when both of my leads have Taunt to scare away a lot, but I do realize my team is a little to Physical oriented, making Dark Pulse viable.

----------CUBONE------------ Physical Bulk / Physical Sweep
Posted Image
Cubone (M) @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 118 Def
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spd)
-Blizzard
-Fire Punch
-Rock Slide
-Bonemerang

This little devil is not to be taken lightly. With Thick Club he reaches towering power having 30 Attack Power (it's impressive to see anything above 20). Fire Punch is special for Bronzor, but Protect serves well in double battles for me. Bonemerang to deal with Subs and Focus Sasher's right away while being a powerful STAB. Rock Slide to hit both of the foe's Pokes and flinching. Accuracy is a big drawback from his set, but worth it for when he hits. Blizzard for when Gligar rears his ugly head.

----------CROAGUNK------------ Special Sweep / Priority
Posted Image
Croagunk (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Anticipation
EVs: 212 HP / 40 Def / 192 SAtk / 40 SDef
Nature: Quiet (+SAtk, -Spd)
-Vacuum Wave
-Dark Pulse
-Sludge Bomb
-Nasty Plot

He may look like the village idiot or drunkard, but this is one retard that'll slap you around. This setup makes me think of Infernape from OU if it could play well with Trick Room. Anticipation over Dry Skin from his lack of a watery friend and not wanting to deal with the fire weak created. Besides, the fact that Dry Skin is standard might scare opponent water types away.

----------BRONZOR------------ Bulk / Trick Room
Posted Image
Bronzor @ Oran Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 220 HP / 72 Atk / 148 Def / 70 SDef
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spd)
-Gyro Ball
-Recycle
-Reflect / Stealth Rock
-Trick Room

It has to be the most annoying thing I found for Little Cup Trick Rooming, and I wouldn't want to lose my Trick Room user, now would I? Recycle to keep him coming back for more. Reflect for supportor Stealth Rock to ruin Focus Sashers switching in, but I think I have enough priority moves to deal with most. Gyro Ball to blast away the speedy Pokes before they even get a chance to do anything but priority moves.

----------LICKITUNG------------ Special Bulk / Mix Sweep
Posted Image
BulkyWOman (F) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 36 HP / 156 Def / 196 SAtk / 76 SDef
Nature: Quiet (+SAtk, -Spd)
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Hammer Arm
-Wring Out

This Licki serves much better with the changes made, with Krabby somewhat taking her roll. Not like she lost her spot of usefulness. Thunderbolt and Ice Beam for coverage. Hammer Arm to push Muchlax aside. Wring Out as the new STAB, reaching 180 base power with 16 SAtk will leave a mark on most (stupid ghost).

Thank you in advance to all who lend me a helping hand with team ideas.

Toxic is fail in Little Cup. Replace it with Blizzard or something. You're also priority weak, with Shadow Sneak/Sucker Punch scoring SE on Misdreavus and Smoochum, Vacuum Wave getting Snover and Lickitung and Aqua Jet and Ice Shard getting Cubone. Drop the EVs in HP for Missy if you're running LO and aim for 19 HP to reduce the recoil to 1 HP/turn.

Elekid can also make almost your whole team cry, with Ice Punch for Cubone, Cross Chop on Lickitung and Snover, and Thunderpunch OHKOing Missy and Smoochum. Even with Sash on Smoouhum, it's still killed by Quick Attack on Elekid's part after it TR's.

Your back-up in case Trick Room fails is also non-existent. I'd suggest a Murkrow, Elekid or Diglett. Also, lack of Krabby is almost criminal, especially with Crabhammer/Return hitting everything for neutral in LC.

Welcome to LCF, we hope you enjoy yourself.

Okay, sounds like I have a lot of foundation to work on and fix.

That's crazy that Life Orb works that way in LC, I hadn't really given it any thought about how the mechanics would change with the low stats past the EVs. I'm planning on replacing Misdreavus anyway with what you have pointed out with Diglett or Elekid.

And I knew my desire to play with Blizzard in the hail would lead to weaknesses, guessing I just needed someone to point out what was being lost for it. Krabby sounds great being able to switch-in for Cubone and could fill-in for Smoochum. Cubone could probably endure those Priority due to its defenses and get in a good Bonemerang, could it not?

Elekid seemed frail, so I thought as long as Trick Room was started, he would be easy to deal with. I highly doubt it would bring down Bronzor before it Trick Roomed and then Cubone (or others) could proceed to whack it. And if it doesn't open against Bronzor, I see it having a hard time ever switching in as well.

And I got to thinking about that and thought Leech Seed or Blizzard would have faired better for Snover over Toxic. I'm wanting a Different lead to start with Bronzor now, so that will help fix that issue.

Thank you for the rate, brought a lot of insight to what an LC team needs. Thanks as well as for the welcome.

Summary:
Misdreavus >>> Scarf Elekid
Smoochum >>> Krabby
Snover >>> ??? (Shuppet or Gastly)
Cubone:
-Protect / Sub
-Fire Punch
-Rock Slide
-Bonemerang

I'll be sure to edit in my changes to the original post of the team when I finally decide. I'm wanting to think on it more because with what I have here the team is looking to Physical oriented.
