Hello one and all to my Rate My Team. This is a team I've made recently that seems to be doing really well in most of my battles, so I was hoping someone could help me fine tune it. As the title implies, The star of the show is a Swords Dancing Lickitung, made only more fearsome by being the recipient of an agili-pass. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! “Ballsy Lead” Voltorb @ Focus Sash Static Naive 36HP / 36Atk / 236Spatk / 195 Spe -Taunt -Thunder Wave -Thunder Bolt -Explosion An oddball lead I thought up. He can take down things like Abra and taunt things to prevent them from setting up. Explosion works hand-in-hand with Voltorb’s focus sash and lets me take down at least one pokemon. “Gligar” Gligar @ Oran Berry Hyper Cutter Impish 236HP / 236Spe -Agility -Baton pass -Birthquake -Rock Slide Gligar is easily one of the most feared pokemon in Little cup. Combine Gligar with Baton Pass and you have an extremely deadly combination. Gligar passes to Misdreavus, Lickitung, and in rare cases Chinchou and makes each one a sweeping machine. Agility was chosen over Rock polish because it’s easier to type, Earthquake gives me some simple STAB, and Roost lets him stay alive longer. Taunting a Bronzor that things Voltorb will switch out and then switching to this guy is a very scary strategy. Roost is now gone on gligar and replaced with Rock Slide. “Gruntilda” Misdrevus @ Oran Berry Levitate Modest 30HP / 240Spatk / 240Spe -Shadow Ball -Hidden Power Fighting -Will-o-Wisp -Calm Mind Misdreavus was added to my team when I realized I needed something that could dish out powerful special hits and not add to my fighting and ground weakness. Will-o-Wisp was picked over Substitute so I can come out on top verses Munchlax. Beyond that, this is pretty much Missy’s standard Calm Mind set. “Mantyke’s Evil Brother” Chinchou @ Oran Berry Volt Absorb Calm 236HP / 228Spdef -Thunder Wave -Thunder Bolt -Ice Beam -Surf Chinchou was (unfortunately) chosen over Mantyke and other “Bulky Little Cup Waters” for his “BoltBeam” resistance. In the same vain as Voltorb, Thunder Wave is here to slow down threats and help spread paralysis incase Lickitung can’t get an Agility from Gligar. “:P” Lickitung @ Oran Berry Own tempo Adamant 196HP / 236Atk / 36 Spe -Swords Dance -Return - -EarthQuake If Gliscor gets an Agility to Lickitung and Licky pulls off a swords Dance, your team is pretty much Licked (HarDeHarHar). 20 Speed is definitely nothing to scoff at. Power Whip isn’t here because I’ve been running into more Sheildons and Arons then Rock/Ground types and Earthquake hits them pretty hard already. Fire Punch is there for Bronzor. “Hockey Puck” Aron @ Orangutan berry Sturdy Impish 236HP / 36Atk / 196Def / 36 Spe -Stealth Rocks -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Protect Aron is a last minute consideration for the team. Aron is my Murkrow counter and takes Physical hits like a man (As long as there not fighting or Ground; Gliscor handles that). He comes in on a normal or flying assault, lays down stealth rocks, scouts to see what the switch-in is capable of, then leaves. Earthquake and Rockslide are his basic attacking options. I really love this team to be honest. It’s lost me very few matches and has almost always gotten someone to sweep with an Agility. This is probably my most successful team of any metagame I’ve played. As far as this team’s weaknesses go, I’ve had trouble dealing with mixed murkrows. Aron was added to my team mostly to stop murkrow, but he’s ended up eating a few Hidden Power Fightings. Any help with the team is greatly appreciated! :) Edited by TheMantyke, Jul 10 2008, 09:17 PM.

No, because they're both part steel so they take neutral damage. |

Logged. Roost is only useful in stall wars versus Bronzor or something, which ideally won't be happening much as you're a Baton Passer. I'd throw on Rock Slide so that Murkrow and Bronzor don't get free set-up fodder. Otherwise you're set. |

Heh, yeah, after our match today, I'm confident Roost was a rather bad choice for Gligar. Thank you to everyone who's posted here, I'm really proud to have made this team. :] Edited by TheMantyke, Jul 10 2008, 09:18 PM.
