Yeah seriously I've played like 5 battles with this team. And never lost. Not all of them were against complete idiots either. Which is starting to scare me. Stall CAN'T be viable in Little Cup, can it?

Logged, duh...

Omanyte (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 236 HP/200 Def/36 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
IVs: 30 Def / 2 Spd / 30 SDef
- Toxic Spikes
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Surf
- Knock Off
---

A good lead, really. Gets those Toxic Spikes out hard and fast, isn't OHKO'd by a Murkrow that eats a STAB SE Hidden Power Rock, STAB Surf and Knock Off to beat Bronzor sans Earthquake. Oh, and beats the living shit out of Ponyta.

Gligar (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 236 HP/236 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Knock Off / Taunt
- Rock Slide
---

Although times when recovery can be used are fairly rare, Gligar still makes a great physical sponge and really supports the team. Omanyte and Chinchou take all the Water and Ice attacks aimed at him too! Earthquake is STAB, Rock Slide is for Murkrow and does good damage to everything, and Knock Off for Oran Berries. Taunt might be better...

Porygon @ Oran Berry
Ability: Trace
EVs: 236 HP/196 Def/76 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
0 spd
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic
- Recover
---

As anyone who's ever stalled in DP knows, you need some guys to Toxic the Levitators and Fliers. That or just kill them. Porygon does both. Trace is awesome to get stuff like, say, Diglett Arena Trap!

Porygon is really the most "disposable" member of my team. A Rapid Spinning Starmie could do pretty much the same thing without the Toxic.

Munchlax (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 236 HP/236 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Body Slam
- Whirlwind
- Earthquake
- Pursuit
---

In case you were wondering, all the -Speed things are because my team doesn't care about speed that much and that way TR teams don't entirely shut me down. Munchlax takes 99% of Special hits like a monster, and even can beat Abra with an Oran Berry in there (2HKO with Psychic). Whirlwind is for other stat boosters, mostly Misdreavus, and helps to get everyone infected with Toxic Spikes.

Chinchou (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 236 HP/244 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Toxic
---

Standard issue Special sponge. The only thing weird is Toxic. Again, it's for fliers, but then again Chinchou can just KO them...

Makuhita (M) @ Oran Berry
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 116 Atk/196 Def/196 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Cross Chop
- Rock Slide
- Ice Punch
- Whirlwind
---

Makuhita is the best counter in the game to Houndour, Ice types of any sort, Munchlax... basically a LOT of guys. He would have given Sneasel a run for his money! Cross Chop is great STAB that can crit past a Cursing Muchlax, Rock Slide for Murkrow and stuff, Ice Punch for Gligar, and Whirlwind for Curselax.

Back. Will see in the next week or so how much I can contribute.

I'd say Snover over Porygon as you have a slow team and lack priority as insurance, also the hail damage will wear things down quicker, and you can pick off things with SD+Ice Shard end game when everything is weakened.

I'd also say SR on Gligar.

Stealth Rock is a good idea. Though I have Toxic Spikes to fuck up a lot of Sashers, stuff like Murkrow is still able to Sash stuff. I think I have enough Knock Offers too. Also works with Whirlwind!

Snover might not be a bad idea, but none of my other guys like getting Hail damage too, so effectively both teams are taking the same damage. The Ice Shard is something that I'd really like to use though... maybe Phanphy or something?

stop changing this

i played around with a stall tam in LC and while i never really made great progress with it i did pick up a few tricks.

first, lileep + sandstorm is a beast in little cup. with oran berry it can easily get in two stockpiles and is one of the only little cup pokemon that can actually make use of recovery, something that is almost requierd for stalling.

speaking of that, the main problem i had with my team is that after oran berry was gone they would just pick me off with two or three moves and i could hurt them for anything. i thought about wish but the only one i saw viable was lickitung but i never tried him. maybe leech seed? i dont know who would use it but its a thought.

anything psysical with fighting and ice kind of hurts you bad. you'd probably see this comming most from things like machop, mankey, makuita. you could try and putting AA on gligar since you would go first and almost always get the 2HKO at least.

you dont have a status absorber( i dont really count lum berry) which could prove to be a pain aginst opposing hypnosis users. manchlax could fit in sleep talk ove whirlwind, and if your someone who thinks they can make use of the recovery, rest over EQ/pursuit.

i think that stall could be viable in LC but we still have a lot of new movesets and strategies to learn.

Aerial Ace only has something like 30 more BP than an Earthquake when it's SE. Still, worth considering.

This is less "stall" and more "counter the big threats and Toxic everything else", I guess. i'll play a few more matches with it.
