Well, just joined not all that long ago, made a team, fought a fight and did pretty well for my first time (lost, but it was only by two pokemon) Here it is Murkrow @ Focus Sash Jolly nature Insomnia 236 Atk 188 Spe 36 HP 20 Def 20 SpDef Taunt Pursuit Sucker Punch Pluck He's my anti-lead because of Insomnia and Taunt to mess up stat-uppers and stuff that set up rock/screens/status/ect. After Taunt, Pursuit if they switch, Sucker Punch if they don't. And Murkrow just loves picking up Oran berries and pinch berries with Pluck. The Hp and defenses are for a Murkrow that can take more than one hit Elekid @ Life Orb Mild nature Static 196 Atk 76 SpAtk 236 Spd Thunderbolt Cross Chop Ice Punch Hidden Power (Grass) Standard fare Mixed Elekid. Hidden Power Grass is for Hippopotas and other Ground Types. Life Orb for Exta Power. Gligar @ Oran Berry Impish nature Sand Veil 236 HP 236 Def Earthquake Stealth Rock Taunt Roost/Filler My defensive "wall", he stands up to Physical assaults of the non-ice, water or +2 boosted variety. Not enough leftover EVs to get another point in anything, so it's straight-forward. The last move is really just filler Bronzor @ Oran Berry Sassy nature Levitate 220 HP 4 Atk 148 Def 68 SpDef Earthquake Gyro Ball Stealth Rock Light Screen/Recycle another "wall", Bronzor defends me against mixtini and helps bolster the team with Light Screen and hinder the other team with Rocks. Once Shoddy Battle implements it, I'd use Recycle over Light Screen. Clamperl @ DeepSeaScale (No Teeth here folks :D) Bold Nature Shell Armor 236 HP 38 SpAtk 236 SpDef Iron Defense Surf Ice Beam/Aqua Ring Confuse Ray/Filler The only thing on my team that can find time to stat up without instantly dying, Clamperl nets a 32 Defense after one Iron Defense. The leftover EVs can get him one point in Special Attack, which is very nice. Surf for STAB, the last two are filler. Confuse Ray could get me free turns though, which is nice too. And Iron Defense is just simply cooler than Barrier :P Totodile @ Choice Band/Scarf Jolly/Adamant Nature Torrent 236 Atk 252 Spe 22 Def Ice Punch/Brick Break/Focus Punch Rock Slide/Ancientpower/Shadow Claw Waterfall Return Water/Normal is unresisted in Little Cup, which is good. the 22 EVs in Defense is the only thing I could find an extra point in, so I used that. EDIT: Switched DDdile to a Scarfdile because it was too hard to get a DD in even with Sub. Rock Slide is general coverage, but Ancientpower has that chance of +1 to all stats, which is Very Nice![/Borat] He could also run Brick Break/Focus Punch + Shadow Claw for another unresisted type combo, but I like the added coverage of Rock and Ice on him. And that's my team. Edited by Kannon, Jul 5 2008, 06:47 PM.

It'd be cooler if you did something like Water / Ice / Ground or something on Totodile, as right now Grass types beat it all the time. It doesn't seem that hard to get a Polish in on Rhyhorn. Switch into Murkrow, wait the switch out, and Polish on it. Then kill stuff. Problem with Clamperl is that it has no way to recover his 20 or so HP. Combining that with finite stats, even taking a meager 2-3 damage per turn means he won't be along much longer. Logged |

I wasn't planning on keeping Totodile, and he really needs Sub to even pull of one DD which is hard enough to do without half the game having Choice Scarf, So, I'll probably end up turning him into a Scarfer/Bander then. Well, I haven't fought a Murkrow yet, which is probably why I'm not getting the Rock Polish. I'll remember to get it in on Murkrow though when I see him, thanks. Well, Clamperl does get Aqua Ring, but the healing is slow, but since there's nothing else, I'll put it on over Ice Beam, sound good? EDIT: Wait, he gets Rest too, but I doubt I could pull it off. I might try it if Aqua Ring proves too slow EDIT #2: the only ground move Totodile gets is Dig, which would mean Ryhorn and Diglett and co. would own me with earthquake, or they'd switch out to a flyer and get a free turn as I'd have to switch out. I could run Water/Rock/Ice/Normal though Edited by Kannon, Jul 5 2008, 06:17 AM.
