Malevolent Abomination of Greed

And you fell for it by virtue of clicking the thread link. Anyhow, I've been wondering around if anybody would consider rating around my Trick Room team Gastly @ Focus Sash - Bitchly Nature: Quiet EVs: 236 Special Attack... -Shadow Ball -Trick Room -Hypnosis -Explosion This has really worked out well for me so far. Not too many people (who haven't played against me before) really expect Gastly to set up Trick Room. I'm really not too sure on how I should be spreading around the EVs. I might just pour them all into Attack, because I have Focus Sash, but... meh. Also considering Shuppet for the Sleep immunity that Gastly wants so, but it doesn't get things like Explosion. Trapinch @ Life Orb - Trabitch Nature: Brave EVs: 236 HP, 196 Attack, 76 Defense -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Crunch -Quick Attack When Diglett doesn't make the cut for a Trick Room team, Trapinch is there to save the day. Sadly, I have actually been considering running HP Ice somewhere, as I hate Gligar so bad. XP It's really actually pretty cool to send in Trapinch after Gastly Explodes to trap whatever the opponent sends out. Bronzor @ Oran Berry - Bitchzor Nature: Sassy EVs: 220 HP, 4 Attack, 68 Defense, 196 Special Defense -Gyro Ball -Earthquake -Trick Room -Reflect/Stealth Rock Bronzor's my second set-up for Trick Room, and it's been working out pretty fine so far. Apparently four EVs in Attack will net me another point. Never noticed it for some reason. =P Reflect would help support my team physically, but Stealth Rock would get those Sashers who stall out TR down a notch. I've been using Reflect, but I'm leaning onto TR. Dratini @ Life Orb - Bitchtini Nature: Quiet EVs: 36 HP, 244 Attack, 196 Special Attack -Draco Meteor -Fire Blast -Outrage -Ice Beam Mixtini is sweet under Trick Room (though I do so miss +1 Outrage. D:). I had to get something to replace Clamperl with an inevitable ban for it lurking overhead, so I chose the next hard-hittiest thing I could find on this end. I've been considering Porygon, but it doesn't seem as appealing for some reason. Ice Beam's mainly filler, because I hate Gliscor so. The EVs should get both stats to 15, which is acceptable concerning the huge base power of Dratini's moves. Murkrow @ Life Orb Nature: Brave Ability: Insomnia EVs: 196 HP, 236 Attack, 36 Defense -Pluck -Sucker Punch -Pursuit -HP Fighting I saw what SDS said concerning Pluck and thought, I want in on some of that. I'm likely going to end up bringing this to 19 Speed, so that I have something to use outside of Trick Room. Munchlax @ Life Orb Nature: Brave Ability: Thick Fat EVs: 176 Attack, 196 Special Attack, 136 Special Defense -Return -Pursuit -Fire Blast -Surf This actually hasn't worked out bad as a TR sweeper, and it's been pretty cool, but I've been wondering if I should go for the Specially defensive version for the sake of the team. Anyhow, good, bad? Suggestions? Needed. Yeah. I plan to ladder with this team, baby. Ladder! |

Because Little Cup is so small, people catch onto Gastly settting up Trick Room. Shuppet really does it better, so why not use him? Obviously remaining EVs should go into HP; even if the Sash is there it can help you survive 2 random weak hits or in Sandstream. It's not like you need (or want to) be at 1 HP. That is, unless you want to boost Explosion. Then do that. Seven Deadly Sins stole my Pluck idea. Or rather, he posted after I thought of it but never posted. Why not make Murkrow all special if you're running HP Fighting? It's not like it's going to OHKO anything anyway. Surf on Munchlax seems inferior to Earthquake as Rhyhorn can't take more than one of those anyway and it runs off of that feared 85 Attack. Logged in current Usage tiers and (if needed) post-Clamperl tiers. Edited by Chris, Jul 1 2008, 04:03 AM.
