Hey. I read in the rules 2 RMTs would be fine and I'm awaiting on the lockage of my orig one. That RMt was so I could get a firm understanding of the LC metagme. With a few battle, 3 to be exact, I believe I have a dercent understanding. I may not have won, but it isn't all about winning, now is it? So, after using a standard team, I decided to go back and look at all Pokemon eligible, or at least those with sets made, and chose my Favs. There are some similarities to my old team, but not a lot. So without further ado, my team: LEAD: Meowth @ Focus Sash EVs: 36 HP/236 Atk/196 Spd/36 SDef Ability: Technition Nature: Jolly Attacks: -Hypnosis -Fake Out -U-Turn -Bite Notes: Yes, I did take this from Alive. I was told that the best leads are sleepers. I was not so fond of Ponyta, and I like Meowth, ones that don't talk mind you. So yeah, thats my reasoning. IMO, there should be more speed, but then again I'm like 1 day into LC, so I would like some help there. Murkrow @ Life Orb EVs: 236Spe, 144Atk, 72SpA Ability: Insomnia Nature: Hasty Attacks: -Dark Pulse -Sucker Punch -Drill Peck -HP [Fighting] Notes: In my first few battles, Murkrow swept like no other. I really love this dark-hearted bird. I mix it up for a few reasons: 1. Mixed Attackers always serve well for me 2. Mixed Attackers make impressive wall breakers, and although there aren't a lot of walls, it is still needed. I also use this as a Sleep-Switchin. Can come in on sleepers and then sweep. Houndour @ Life Orb EVs: 236 Spd/156 HP/40 SpA/40 SpD Ability: Flash Fire Nature: Timid Attacks: -Nasty Plot -Flamethrower -HP [Fighting] -Dark Pulse Notes: NPHoundour is not only cute as hell, but packs a lot of shredding teeth. Sorry for the awkward pun thing. I love NPers especially Vulxix line/Togepi line and houndour line. So yeah. Chinchou (M) @ Oran Berry Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 236 HP/228 SDef Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Discharge - Ice Beam - Surf - HP [grass] Notes: Stops Starmie and most Pokemon. Discharge so I can use HP [Grass] over T-Wave. Cyndaquil @ Choice Scarf EVs: 44HP / 24Atk / 200SpA / 236Spe Ability: Blaze Nature: Hasty Attacks: -Eruption -Fire Blast -HP [Grass] -Double Kick Notes: My other revenge killer that I like a whole lot more. When Eruption loses its steam, Fire Blast comes in. That is if I can switch out. Bronzor @ Oran Berry EVs: 220 HP/148 Def/68 SpD Ability: Levitate Nature: Sassy Attacks: -Reflect -Light Screen -Recycle -Gyro Ball Sub for: Geodude Notes: The Zor lead but revamped to be a wall. I used both screens for coverage and Gyro Ball for STAB and Scarf/Fast pokemon. SUBS: Geodude @ Oran Berry EVs: 196 HP / 116 Atk / 196 Def Ability: Rock Head Nature: Impish Attacks: -Earthquake -Rock Slide -Fire Punch -Explosion Sub for: Bronzor Notes: Yes, I do understand Rhyhorn is better, but I like Explosion much more. Taillow @ Toxic Orb EVs: 36 HP/236 Atk/236 Spe Ability: Guts Nature: Jolly Attacks: -Quick Attack -Facade -Pluck -U-Turn Sub for: Cyndaquil Notes: A petit bird with guts calls out to me oddly enough. I don't like Teddiursa, and I think Taillow would be easier to set-up, since it can come into many different attacks. Quick Attakc over Protect for slower priority users. Jus tto even out the playing field and to potentially revenge kill. Digglett @ Choice Scarf EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 236 Spe Ability: Arena Trap Nature: Adamant Attacks: -Earthquake -Sucker Punch -Rock Slide -Aerial Ace Sub for: Cyndaquil Notes: One of my Revenge killers and from what I heard it is good. Going to use this with trial and error. It will probably stay though. Alrighty, thats my team. Feel free to comment, rate, but no flames please! I tried using what is good along with what I like. meowth: well, you didn't really take it away from me, since i didn't create it. IMO hypnosis leads are the best. and meowth has another added benefit of getting rid of focus sash and all non-ghost pokemon. 19 is the highest speed meowth can have without going to a scarf. 19 also give you a speed tie with some of the other fastest leads. meowth looks great. staryu looks like it will cause serious problems with your team. also, i don't think you need two revenge killers so lets solve this problem at the same time. by replacing diglett with chinchou you can absorb electric hits and destroy staryu with thunderbolt while it helplessly try to 3HKO you. i would consider bronzor over geodude. geodude isn't really fast enough to use explosion well and you'll need the extra defense on your team. Logged I'll get back to this later. Again, mixed sweepers should be mixed to deal with specific threats, not "because I like them". |

My analysis for Chinchou will be up in less than an hour, so look there. I'll copy and paste the EVs here for you when I'm done. |
